Agreed.Ossitania wrote:Although we were prepared to support this repeal, I'm afraid we've had a sudden change of heart. You see, we've been informed by the delegation from Auralia that mandatory compliance with GA resolutions doesn't exist, so none of the arguments made in the repeal matter, because anyone who doesn't like the target resolution can just ignore it. Isn't that great!? We can have our cake and eat it!

Auralia wrote:That's a rather silly reason to oppose this repeal. Non-compliance is not some sort of a get-out-of-jail-free card. It's tantamount to rejecting the will of the international community, which substantially damages relations with the majority of WA nations. So no, I believe that GA resolutions do mean something, and that there is a compelling reason to repeal them if they are flawed.

Your economy must have been solely dependent on the Automotive sector in that case. Hardly a stable economy. In any case, if this repeal goes ahead, it's only opening the door for the same act in a better version to come through again. The premise of allowing fume belching nations to get by on "my economy will die" is nonsense.

Just as much nonsense as complaining how the environment will die.

Typical chest beating of a nation who's economy collapsed when they were asked to clean up their air quality a little.
Nobody just decides what drives their economy. It's based on a couple of daily issues that are usually something like "Do you want to legalize protests, or execute all dissenters?" It's all fine and good that your nation can handle this, but a lot of people can't.

its not the strongest of them as an individual entity, but because it makes such a staggeringly larger portion of the atmosphere it has far more greenhouse effect than all the other gasses combined.
Catastrophic climate projections are honestly just bad science.

Delegates nowadays are spoiled. Back when I first started, we always had at least 10 pages of proposals to wade through, and 90% of them were crap.
