SECURITY COUNCIL

Liberate the Security Council
A resolution to strike down Delegate-imposed barriers to free entry in a region.

Category: Liberation | Nominee: The Security Council | Proposed by: Unibotian WASC Mission

Description:
We the Peoples of the Security Council,

Perceiving the short history of the Security Council so far, as an unsteady beginning -- one full of uncertainty and hesitancy;

Recalling the World Assembly, and at least one historical institution before that, whose beginnings were equally as unsteady;

Aware of the difference between the Security Council and these successful establishments lies not in their ideals, but their organization;

Determining that a higher degree of self-determination, and freedom is thus necessary for a successful establishment;

Whereas the World Assembly Security Council is disregarded as an international malingerer, a distraction from the imperative directives of the General Assembly;

Distressed to hear of potential authors of Security Council Resolutions who have decided not to pursue issues of international security out of fear, and intimidation from naysayers who have been attached to the Security Council not out of preference, but because of its association with the General Assembly -- which is not unlike the relationship of a child to its older brother;

Concerned that such a fraternal shadow may cast darkness over some pressing issues in our world;

Hereby, in the name of dedication to the dissemination of inter-regional peace and goodwill, liberates the Security Council.

Okay.. see here for more details.

Plutoni's been rather apathetic towards the WA for some time, but this might just be the trick to revive interest. Speaking OOCly, they'd be glad to move in and help with delegate/password setup, should the need arise.

Well, I was testing to see if I could post a liberation for a region with a founder... and it appears possible.

I'm sending out a GHR now, to ask for it to be deleted.

So.. draft away ambassadors!

NOTE: Ard gave a fairly informative speech about this movement on the other thread.

This might work as a quasi-"liberation" of the real SC if the WFE contained information about the real SC and its present conflict with the GA. Just a suggestion. Image

The honoured ambassador to Charlotte Ryberg approves of this proposal pending further revisions and fine tuning: we laughed hard! :lol:

Ever seen a swarm of ache-scarred elephants at a pre-teen school dance?

Edited, I hope.

That's a great idea. I'll see if I can't find Topid around here to ask.

Eh, I promised the Raiders I'd be a good little defender and remove the taunts after some time anyway...

I'll make it as relevant to the resolution as I can! :D

(I am the founder for those who did not know.)

Gosh, that was quick. I didn't even get time to ask you by telegram. :lol2:

I'm efficient!

WFE edited, and I threw up a secret password to make this more legit. 8)

This might be pushing it...

A region which represents the body of the world assembly that has been crushed by its gross, grumpy, greedy, big brother body, The General Assembly.

They are gross...

Almost all the active GAers (big names) are grumpy,

And greedy starts with a 'G'!

Besides, I don't like them... Ah well I suppose if I want GA voters to side with me... :(

And since the liberation was shot down, is anyone interested in making a delegate in the region to further this cause? My WA is tied up else-where...

If you're looking to password the region, it'll take weeks to do with a delegate.

That was a test. I asked for it to be deleted. :p

But to make it more official, I'd be willing to move my puppet there (he'll join the WA in a day -- dahm notification wait period)

However he will need endorsements !!!

I think it is already passworded by a founder.

OK, I thought the point of getting a delegate was to password the region, as liberation resolutions only apply to regions passworded by a delegate. I don't know the rules, but I guess you can have 'preventative' resolutions too, for regions which haven't been passworded by a delegate.

We are pretty greedy. Why else would we be proposing so many Free Trade resolutions?

I'd make "liberated" in your factbook entry a link to the Technical thread, just to drive the point home. ;)

(I'd also avoid mentioning NAZI EUROPE, since they're attention-whores, but that's just my personal taste.)

I will have my WA free for several weeks now, and I can delay my plans for some time after that.

If you are still interested, I'll move Topid to TSC and you can endorse him Uni, and I can get one more endorsement from a friend.

Hopefully since our region has only had a delegate for two days, the influence will rise pretty quick.

Be sure to change "nation" to "region" or whatever in the link up at the top!

Let me know if you need an extra WA nation to further the cause.

Thanks, I've fixed the tag.

I'm going to need at least two endorsements so I can propose this baby, when the time is ready. I should be able to round up two followers from my own region to do the deed, but if you wish to come out and show your support -- go right ahead! This puppet I'm posting will become my WA puppet as of tomorrow.

The text in red could be highly illegal, but as you can see, I've added a bit of a Pre-Preamble. I figured, "hey!" why not kill two birds with one stone... ? 8)

As far as I know, The Security Council will have a successful furture, so I don't see why it's illegal. :p

Drop it. It's not necessary. The "time-honoured tradition" bullshit is plainly false as anyone knows, and it would have been deleted had it been submitted as a repeal of a GA resolution.
