We need more comedic relief. I'll laugh my ass off if this comes to vote, anyways. :P

Recognizing the contributions made to the Security Council by the nation of Sedgistan

Hereby Commends Sedgistan

Not to sound harsh, but simply stating "Recognizing the contribution of *insert name*" without listing them isn't going to make people want to approve the proposal. Include exactly what he's done with proof (on the side, not in the proposal).

Samantha lit up a joint as she sat up in her seat. It was strange to her that the gnomes had no issue with her loitering after her nation's withdrawl from the World Assembly.
What the hell? Another Security Council Resolution about the Sedgistanis? First a commend for defending, then a condemn for mass vandalism and being "overly ambitious", then a repeal of the first commendation for raiding and now this? Is Sedgistan the Chuck Norris of nations or something?

I really think we need to repeal resolution 54 and see what the community thinks of that first. Then if it is successful propose a commendation.

Edit: I am just not really all for commendating a mod for being a mod. They have to do something above and beyond like RPing with the community or being active on some type of forum.

We don't need to repeal it. He can be commended for his work in the SC, and condmened for his actions outside of it. (Even though I personally find those actions commenedable, others show disdain for it.)

It's not that he is a mod, just the work that he has put into the Security Council.

I Fully support this Proposal.

Hopefully someone will write soon new Proposal 'Repeal 'Repeal Condemn Sedgistan'. And then...

Actually I do not care less who is subject of this type of Proposals. What is Good in this proposal is it's help Paralyse whole Security Counsil and this is Only valuable Aspect of it because SC is Play Ground for Petty Bureaucrats, slow moving monster for nothing which has some meaning at all.

Whole Commending/Condemning prosedure could be re-designed on basis of 'Thumbs up'/'Thumbs Down', One vote per WA-Nation from Other WA-nation. (+300 Thumbs ups=Commended/-300 Thumbs Down=Condemned. For Example) Nice and simple. Lot more faster and less time consuming. :p

Do you plan on submitting this again? If not, can we please let this thread die in peace? There's no need to be voicing support for a proposal that was already submitted and failed to achieve quorum.

I'm not sure. I wasn't going to, but then I started thinking about it the other day. Didn't have time to campaign the last time.

So Chuck Norris then?

I think it's pretty good as it is. I don't vote on SC resolutions, but if I did, I'd support this.

Bergnovinaia will not endorse this proposal as written. The delegation was looking for the proposal and simply found the conclusion clause. If this comes to a vote, and we doubt that it will, Bergnovinaia will highly discourage the nations of the region Ainur--the region which we are the delegate for--to vote against this proposal so we, as bound per regional common law, can follow suit.

Good day!

Yours,

I won't be supporting this because the submitted commendation does not contain a record of good works performed by the nation of Sedgistan. I will be voting against it if it reaches the required number of delegate support.

OOC: Last time I checked, it was alright to comment on a proposal that is awaiting approval with 25 endorsements. So no, the debate can last until it fails to reach quorum this time.
