"I'm not saying that Yohannes does not deserve a commendation. I am saying that it does not deserve commendation through this proposal for the reasons citied here do not, in any manner jut out Yohannes from many other nations which have followed similar policies. If Yohannes is being commended for being "anti-slavery" and "charitable donations" and starting organisations that are meant to help out non English speaking nations then Mizialand (or any other nations which satisfies the above criteria) should also be commended for all our actions have been parallel to the aforementioned ones. The passage of this proposal would imply that commendation are being given like freebies - you just have to be nice, it really does not matter if you stand out. The entire purpose of commendation would be made a joke of if this shit happens. Also, why is the proposal being voted upon at the same time as Liberate Haven controversy escalates? In this manner nations have been evincing their feelings for Yohannes without caring for the spirit in which the commendation were established. This implies a gross misuse of SC's powers."

- Ms. Achebe, Mizialand's Ambassador to the W.A.

"Delegate, this proposal is at vote for two reasons. First and foremost, to reward a nation that has done all the great things you have held to be trivialities. What you are failing to appreciate is that it is not for any one of these acts that we hold Yohannes to be commendable, but for all of them; it is not because Yohannes is generous and morally upright, but because of the immensity of its generosity and the great diversity of its commitments to the greater good.

"The Security Council has never refrained from commending a nation simply because another nation is also good. If it had, it would have set an awful precedent of never rewarding the worthy. Yet, if the only arguments the delegate of Mizialand can find are self-centred, childish cries of 'why them? why not us?' then I do not grieve for the loss of her vote. Nor, I should think, do her neighbours in Maredoratica, in the nations of Oseato and Yohannes." The Maltropian delegate looked pointedly at the representative from Mizialand.

"The second reason this proposal is now at vote is, as you have stated, Liberate Haven, though not for the reasons you seem to believe despite this delegate's repeated insistence that such claims are false. Maltropia has always been a member of the World Assembly and a friend of Yohannes. This resolution was drafted a long time ago, but factors beyond our control prevented us from finalising it. It was the proposal to Liberate Haven, which aroused the ire of so many nations, that reminded us that we, too, had a draft resolution, and one which is a vastly more appropriate use of this assembly's time. We find it suspicious, not to mention petty, that the representative from Mizialand holds that this proposal is less valid than the ones it out-campaigned. We are relieved, therefore, that she has chosen to endorse her region's elected delegate and so negate her own country's vote."

As much as we like Germanophone nations, due to the amount of mercantilistic, nepotistic government bankster whoring in said proposoal, WE, the Hindu Matriarchy of Shaktirajya must vote AGAINST this proposal.

Vaktri Rajarajeshwaryaaha, Hypaatyaha Sophyaaha, Matrurajasya Shaktirajyasya,

Talk to us when you have sufficiently developed the concept of Ehrlichkeit statt Herrlichkeit,

Bis dann,

I did not involve myself in this whole debate and thing, as I feel that would not be right. I would simply like to say to all the World Assembly delegates out there: thank you for giving us the chance to voice our opinion and channel our votes.

Whether we are gameplayers, roleplayers, writers or defenders, NationStates General'ites or raiders, General Assembly enthusiasts or International Incidents warmongers, Factbook & National Information military addicts or Forum 7 crowd goers. We laugh together, we share memories with one another, build our connection with other members of our community, struck new friendships and further cemented our existing ones.

We are all playing this one game that we love: NationStates.

I realise that a lot of gameplayers out there dislike this whole event, as I am primarily a roleplayer from the Global Economics & Trade/International Incidents/NationStates community, and that is fine, as we are all different, and have our own preference. I would like simply like to thank you for putting up with the whole voting for the author and co-authors, who were working hard and should claim all the credit for all of this (as I did not involve myself nor work at all for this whole WA thing).

Once again, thank you for your time, and I am sorry if the structure of my sentencing is a bit weird.. English is my second language. :p

We are all players of one game: NationStates, the game that we love.

OOC: As a committed RPer, I'm constantly amazed at the immense contribution Yohannes has made for our community, especially the lengths to which he goes to help new players. As a beneficiary of Yohannes generous assistance when I was but a wet-behind-the-ears participant in GE&T and II, which really helped me onto my feet, I would like to express my wholehearted support for the motion.
