So far, the proposal and its commend-candidate seem appropriate enough, although my vote shall remain firmly nonexistent until I have a clearer light on the subject, including the motives of the submitter in submitting this (honestly though, I kind of feel like leaning towards against, if only because the proposal feels like some sort of response to Liberate Haven, and I absolutely do not want the pettiness of that discussion to be continued. But then again, annoyance is a very unreasonable cause for such a vote, and another honest thing, the proposal seems very reasonable, especially in light of 'new' evidence).

"After reviewing the resolution very carefully and with due consultations with all my advisories, I recommend Her Majesty's Government to vote against the said resolution. While I agree that the Kingdom of Yohannes has been one of the respected allies of our country and deserves commendation for various purposes, this resolution simply does not get into the heart of it.
The first clause of the resolution mentions Yohannes maintaining various "overseas territories" (which is a fancy term for colonies). This clearly implies imperialistic tendencies and ideals of this nation which totally oppose the principles of the World Assembly. May I remind you that opposition to imperialism is one of them? If the members pass this resolution, they would once again prove the hypocrisy of this organisation.
The Mizia foreign policy also discourages wars and so does that of many peace loving nations. I hope that the members need not be reminded that commendation is given to nations that have truly jetted out - many of the WA members have foreign policies which is against war but they are not being commended for it while Yohannes is. Yet another example of the hypocrisy and favouritism that prevails here.
If Yohannes were to be commended simply for "opposing slavery" and being a signatory of the Amistad Declaration then all such opposer and signatories are worthy of a commendation. Furthermore, I would like to remind the members of the crime Yohannes has been guilty of in the past - primarily related to apartheid and imperialism. This resolution, if allowed to pass will merely add to the already proven hypocrisy of the W.A.
Finally, I believe that this commendation is a mere attempt to block the controversial Liberate Haven proposal. This is intolerable misuse of the S.C. and waste of its precious time. Therefore, I request all members not to follow the crowd, to think out carefully and then exercise their choice. Every vote matters - we request members to use it responsibly."

Her Majesty's Government periodically donates money to charities. A significant portion of our GDP is given out as aid to developing and under developed nations. Yohannes simply does not stands out in this sphere.
