Further more, there is no guarantee that the region's occupants will move back or attempt to make it an active or productive community. At the very least, the Black Riders have established an embassy, banished the troublesome occupants with little to no resistance and are in the midst of transforming the region into something more feasible to the World at large. The stronger opponent won, the land should be theirs. I vote AGAINST.

Do you know what TBR wants to do with RORMS? They want to refound it. Any community there is better than none.

no.

And once again, I point out that the community has since happily moved to a foundered region. Its doing just fine.
Never underestimate the power of cynicism, pessimism and negativity to prevent terrible things from happening. Only idealists try to build the future on a mountain of bodies.

The Thing to Remember About NationStates is that it is an almost entirely social game - fundamentally, you have no power beyond your own ability to convince people to go along with your ideas. In that sense, even the most dictatorial region is fundamentally democratic.

While I might not agree with the opinions of the natives of Region of Reunited Muslim State posted, as posted on their region board, I would hesitate to say that the motivation for this invasion was spurred by morality, given that Nazi Europe is founderless but never seems to be a target of these same invaders.

Even if you dislike Region of Reunited Muslim State and all that they stand for, by voting for this liberation you are protecting other founderless regions. If these invaders are allowed to hide behind password protection to victimize this region, they will be able to mobilize elsewhere faster to destroy other founderless regions. If on the other hand this liberation resolution is passed, you're making it harder for invaders to destroy this region and refound it as a prize.

In effect every day you pin down invaders in Region of Reunited Muslim State it's another day of freedom for founderless regions elsewhere (except for the tiny, inactive regions that are constantly hit by tagging regions, where in some cases the region is only being kept alive by discarded invader puppets).

No one is paying attention to the fact that the community has happily Relocated.

And this liberation won't help other founderless regions. Just Region of Reunited Muslim States

Eh, we just voted for the liberation due to the fact thats its being held by TBR. Ever since they raided our Region and vandalised our Factbook page & flag (the horror, the horror) it has been standard policy for us to vote for any proposal that liberates a region they hold.

We don't care if the natives have taken their ball and gone to play elsewhere, we believe that TBR shouldn't be allow to own the ball court without a challenger (New challenger! Fight!).

Since when does one liberation help multiple founderless regions?

Not every native has relocated. If that were entirely true, then TBR could just refound the region now. There are still natives they have to eject that are staying in their home region.

The point isn't to stop raiding. Raiding is part of the game. The point is to give the natives of regions which have been occupied by raiders a chance to regain them, or more to the point, give defender/counter-raider forces an opportunity to push the occupiers out.

Well, we can stop them sometimes, but not always, of course.

We may not be able to stop the riders from raiding but we can always force them out of the regions they have occupied. In order to do this I have founded the region of The Stalwart Army of Old RORMS. This region will attempt to raise a large enough number of dedicated nations in order to eventually kick out TBR and give back the occupied region its independance.

it will take time of course to raise a large enough force to accomplish this but I am optimistic.
