Last I checked, no one has managed to destroy the World Assembly over something like this...

The last transmission from Automagfreek has given us even more reasons to support this resolution, as a deliberate act of defiance and resistance to diehard (in this case paranoid) authoritarianism.

Should we be attacked by Aytomagfreek, the so-called "warlord" should be prepared to annihilate us all, both us and the countless other powerful comrade nations and regions, as well as all the thousands of nations in the WA, even the cowards, as they too will have to fight, for their very survival -that's the only way he will succeed.

Herb, Nigel's 97 year old dementia riddled, father-in-law/United States of Philimbesi Security Council representative stirred in his sleep. 'Where are my pants?!" He screams. Papers start to fly as Herb begins to look for his pants. Then after a moment or two he falls back to sleep, his head smacking down on the Against button.

“Captain” Wylie Mooney and his first mate, Rigel spanned Lake Security Council with the view from their collapsible spectacle. On the horizon of water and fog there appeared to be nothing but the Security Council Headquarters – a prismatic glass-structure, glistening in the distance.

Mooney and Rigel stood on the deck of the Olontana, a relatively large brigantine, worn and aged from combat that flew the Jolly Roger on its ragged and faded, black sails. The Olontana, Mooney would tell you in a red-faced rant after a hard day of rum, was named after the “Goddess of the Sea” according to the tribe of the rain-forests of Senzerya. The Senzeryai had captured him while he was still an Arartisean naval officer and permitted his life only on the sacred vow to Olontana: to pillage and acquire all of the possessions of the sea. The legend was a cock and bull story that he devised during the court-martial, but nonetheless, the name stuck.

Yarh, any sign of him?” asked Mooney.

Not yet sir,” said Rigel staring into the distance with the spectacle.

An alarm in the distance sounded as one of the top windows of the Headquarters smashed into glass confetti; a body emerged out of the window with the confetti and it drifted quickly into the depths of the Lake below.

WHUUUSHHHH

Eduard found himself doing a summersault underwater, he let out of breath of bubbles and was utterly disoriented trying to find which way was up in the darkness of the sea till before he knew it, gravity had already pulled him to the top of the lake. He spat and gasped for air, spinning around till he saw the Olontana in his sights – he smiled. Before he knew it, he was climbing a rope ladder onto its deck after it was precariously tossed out to him. Heir stepped onto the deck, soaking wet and still dressed as a custodian – Mooney walked over and shook his hand.

Quite a fall you took there, Eddy; you’ll alright?” asked Mooney.

Yeah…yeah I’m fine, I’ve been defenestrated enough times in the General Assembly to know how to handle it, how you doing Mooney?” said Eduard, clearly out of breath, he was leaning against the railing.

Not bad, yarh. We’s were just on our way to Ethand; were you thinking you’d like to go to Ethand – I know it’s a shithole and everything bu—“ said Mooney before Eduard interrupted.

Thank you for doing this and everything, Mooney, but I’ve got to get to the World Assembly Headquarters, I’ve got a shuttle mission to attend,” said Eduard.

Anything for one of the best smugglers’ in the history of Port Cordlow, what’s ye plan, Eddy?” asked the Captain.

Well, you see things have changed,” said Eduard with a sigh. “The original plan was to have you get me there, but WA security is out now and looking for me… and under GA#20, you could be severally punished by the ICMP. Hhhm… Rigel, do you mind if we switch outfits?

Rigel nodded and stripped, Eduard did the same as they exchanged attires. Eduard put on the torn pants and ripped, stained fluffy shirt and turned to look as Rigel, dressed as a custodian and leaping off the boat’s plank, already swimming to shore.

Actually, that wasn’t my plan...” said Eduard to himself.

Don’t worry about him, Eddy. He’s not the brightest chap in the world, yarh, we’ll pick him up later,” said the Captain with a toothless smile.

A gnome official was taking a smoke-break on the docks of the Security Council Headquarters, he had just lit his pipe as he saw Eduard out of his corner of his eye. Heir was padding his way to the dock in a small rowboat, his hair messy and dry now, his clothes ripped and torn. The gnome’s pipe dropped out of his mouth as he stood up in concern.

Are you alright?” called out the gnome.

Eduard continued to paddle, groaning in pain. “I’ve been travelling for days… I’m a refugee… am I out of the country yet!?” said Eduard with a scratchy voice.

The rowboat hit the dock and the gnome helped tie Eduard’s boat up; Heir began to drift in and out of consciousness.

Just hold on a second, I’ll go get help!” said the gnome as he swung around and began to run down the dock looking for anyone. As he did so, Eduard opened one eye and spotted a clear entrance back into the headquarters. He knew he needed to get to the ninth floor, where he could catch the monorail to the General Assembly from Topid Station. Heir crawled out of the rowboat and began to run, he had little time.

Col. Benjamin O'Hara, the Hillian Ambassador to the World Assembly, cleared his throat before speaking into his microphone. "While it is true the Hills have been at a peace with other nations, we have, in the past, aligned ourselves with the Freekish Empire. Even if we have remained neutral in almost all conflicts as of late we still offer our political support to our old friends. This resolution is a childish attempt at a slap in the face of Lord Dreadfire and an embarrassment to the Council it self. It is not our place to pass judgement upon nations who have never had any involvement in this organization.

O'Hara looked around the council chambers, took a sip of water, and continued, "The Grand General of the Hills has asked me to inform you all that should this resolution pass, the Hills will remove themselves from the World Council."

Disgusted by Automagfreek’s “Flesh for Fuel” program that used dead enemy soldiers to fuel Automagfreek military vehicles,

"Zarkanians hosts a similar program, using the corpses of all dead men and women. It does not see why this is considered a problem."

The ambassador from The Asylum Manager addresses the council via his aide, since the translators of this SC seem to be unable to ascertain which peculiar dialect it is meowing: "We are confused after reading the press release from Automagfreek's government. The nation who submitted this resolution indicated it was with the consent of Automagfreek but now it would seem that was not the case. Therefore we will refrain from voting on this issue."
The ambassador and his aide yield the floor.

Stephanie sits and listens as the telegram is read aloud. She raised an eyebrow; Horgen told her about the last time the Headquarters was destroyed: the multiversal surge, the loss of many lives, including those of many gnomes, and the appearance of the strange device in a ditch outside of Triolin. Now it seemed it was going to be destroyed again, this time by something—or, in this case, someone—very much of this world.

She stood, very solemn in her mood.

The most recent threat, made by the leader of the nation in question, have only served to solidify, in my mind, the necessity to condemn this nation for its violent and barbaric actions. I maintain my position.

Stephanie takes a seat again, then turns to one of her aides. "Phone the Damanucan Armed Forces, tell them to prepare for an invasion. And call the Damanucan Space Agency too, get them scanning the world for any signs of extra-dimensional activity. Use the hotline for them both."

The Federal Republic of the Allied States of Demokratia vote to condemn Automagfreek, as the history of this vile nation is too great to ignore. We wish nothing but the harshest of punishments on Automagfreek.

OOC: The Federal Republic of the Allied States of Demokratia issue this vote to in a way commend Automagfreek, as the history of this great player is too great to ignore, with his services to newbies on the board being noted as stellar. We wish nothing but continued success to Automagfreek.

The Right Honourable Gentleman James Heather CBE and Stevidian Representative to the World Assembly stood to voice his, and by extension the Holy Empire's, response to the proposal.

"The Empire must say to the international community sat before me that the Empire expresses its deep and profound relief that Automagfreek's crimes have been brought before this Security Council. It is now up to us, the esteemed members of this great organisation to vote for the complete and utter condemnation of this disgusting nation. The Holy Empire will be voting for this legislation to pass and to hopefully forever label Automagfreek as an enemy of the world and of humanity.
"The crimes committed by this horrific state affects the Empire very deeply indeed, particularly the well known facts that Christianity is subjugated and purged from within their boarders while the priests are mutilated and killed like nothing more than foul rodents. The people are are victims to mass human sacrifice as are nations that cross swords with Automagfreek. Culling humans in the name of some 'Blood God' is detestable at best and, to the Empire at least, heresy. While the fact that they are pagans is an issue that does not affect the WA, it is an issue when people are sacrificed. However the pagan issue and ritual sacrifice of alone is enough to get this Holiest of Empires to vote for this proposal; let alone the persecution of Christianity and other religions.
"The Empire also feels that the unique method of warmongering that Automagfreek exhibits to the world is one that truly represents a huge threat to international peace and security; and if it were within this Security Council's power to destroy Automagfreek by military force then the Holy Empire would surely be at the forefront of any attack."

Mr. Heather then raised his voice almost to a bellow as the issue at vote seemed to affect him quite personally. Delegates to either side of him tried to appeared unfazed by this tirade that had started relatively quietly.

"It is also my government's wish to reiterate what Automagfreek probably already knows: That the New Gothic Empire of Automagfreek will forever be an enemy of the Holy Empire of Stevid for as long as either nation remains on God's green Earth."

Mr. Heather took a slip of water to calm his hoarse throat as hundreds of delegates applauded in support while others looked on in bemusement that someone would dare say words like that about the most powerful member of the Gholgoth region. The Stevidian ambassador collected himself and sorted out his paperwork as one random ambassador came over to him and whispered in his ear.

"Does you country have a death wish. Why say such things? Simply vote and be done with it."

"It's an open forum." The Stevidian smiled. "Here is the perfect place to voice our concerns with Automagfreek. And our customs are those of saying it how it is. Never sugarcoat an issue. AMF and the Goths will look over this vote as pathetic and simply laugh it off as a ridiculous accolade they're been awarded by the WA. We shouldn't worry ourselves with the possible response - the Empire certainly doesn't."

While Automagfreek's actions may be seen as excessive by some member states, the honorable chairman of Manor feels that the WA has no right to impede on another nation's sovereignty through such an escapade.
Voting, even in an international setting, often gets in the way of rulers rights, and should be avoided when pertaining to the limiting of one nation in particular. Therefore, the honorable chairman of Manor finds that they cannot support this piece of legislation.

This we can support.

Yes. The practice of "region crashing," where a group of nations all move to a region with the aim of seizing the WA Delegate position, is part of the game. Certain groups within NationStates are particularly adroit at this, and can attack very quickly.
>Once I've taken over a region, can I eject everyone else?

You can try. Invader Delegates tend to have very little Regional Influence, which makes ejecting long-time residents difficult. But Delegates can be as kind, generous, evil, or despotic as they wish. It's up to regional residents to elect good Delegates.

Then there is no point. This assembly is either pointless bureaucracy or a violation of nations sovereignties. Its policies need to focus on maintaining stability without limiting the capabilities of strong willed leaders such as the honorable chairman of Manor. The assembly must facilitate the existence of an international community where leaders are free to rule their nations as they see fit, and outcompete weaker, more democratic nations. In this way, Natural selection will provide for a community of stable, strictly governed, and prosperous nations unimpaired by WA legislation.

That's the point C&Cs, yes. To express one's opinion. Only redundant paperwork. Futile. Just let it be.
