Although the LISA is tackling the issue of homophobia in schools head on, which is a great thing, it goes just a bit too far in some of its sections if you ask me.

Just so you know, I really don’t want to argue with you, but you did just proclaim yourself as better than us “in almost every way.” This forum is being used as a way to help LGBTQIA+ people and treat them equally in schools, it’s almost hypocritical of you to go ahead and make my people feel lesser than yours.

"Yes, it is of international concern, Ambassador. Homophobic bullying in schools certainly has a significant impact; hurting the mental health of victims, forcing others to stay closeted and preventing victims from receiving a productive education experience; schools permitting homophobia also causes homophobia to extend beyond merely the school grounds. Again, this Assembly's motto is "Improving the world one resolution at a time", and promoting inclusiveness of LGBTIQA+ in schools will improve the world."

I actually did inquire as to why you made such a hurtful and offensive statement, or at least the first one you made. You responded by calling it a dumb question and therefore shut the question down before moving to make another offensive comment. I’m past that now, I clearly have lost the argument, but it was never my intention to start one either.

This is against the free market.
If you let a private school do this on their will, that's fine.
But as i see this... That is for ALL schools compulsorily.

Create an private "only for LGTV8K+" school* then all of the students can live in a bubble, soo then can be treated as superiors and not equal to the rest of the population.

Yes please, teach then everything you want, but don't teach about inflation... Or else...
I only disagree on the private part,i think this should be on all schools to distract the population and to pass more money to my accou... i mean, the state, indeed.

Inclusiveness in School Act

Postby Amatheia » Mon Feb 21, 2022 3:15 pm

So back to the issue of homophobia in schools, the fact that this is being bought up concerning. The purpose of a school is to educate children, so sexual education is paramount, in understanding the fact that there is many different kinds of people people are attracted to, whether it is a gay relationship between females or Transgender persons. I am only going to speak about these two because, I do not understand any of the other terms.

Whenever something says inclusive it is pretty clearly divisive, I have not read read the act but I dont need to, it's all in the title. Inclusiveness in Schools Act.

This is clearly inferring that a specific group has more rights over another, in a place of learning. Which is disturbing and wrong full stop. This is divisive and does not address the core issue at hand.

Children in schools, should be taught whatever race, creed, sexuality or religion, including any other differing view points, political affiliations, should be respected and seen as we are all humans, on this beautiful planet.

Final thoughts, this Act should be scrapped in all entirety, it is divisive and problematic.

Thankyou for you time on reading this.

So... because it's not an omnibus it should be scrapped? That's a ridiculous statement, especially since you haven't read the legislation at all, as you've said.

Beyond that, humans aren't the only species and Earth isn't the only planet.

Beyond that, the points of your argument are either wrong or moot. It seems you are rather tuned out of diversity and inclusiveness and hide behind a shield of "Oh well trust me this is a total truth right here" when you see something like inclusiveness. Peh.

Beyond that, I'm going to address your points.

This is clearly inferring that a specific group has more rights over another, in a place of learning. Which is disturbing and wrong full stop. This is divisive and does not address the core issue at hand.

In some nations, the situation may have it that homophobia is rampant and certain people do have rights above others, which is exactly why other civil rights legislation has passed here before. It's not wrong, and while it's disturbing, that's why we have this legislation. It's not divisive either.

Children in schools, should be taught whatever race, creed, sexuality or religion, including any other differing view points, political affiliations, should be respected and seen as we are all humans, on this beautiful planet.

...See above point on not using "humans" and Earth as terms here, then realize that the intent of this legislation is to focus on sexuality and gender discrimination, thereby fulfilling a portion of this point, and leaving more room for other legislation.

"Without getting too far into our respective views of the international society, Ambassador, I think you're limiting yourself by viewing this as a question of a specific policy, which might best be left to domestic legislators, when it more properly -- to my mind, at least -- should be viewed as a question of a specific sapient right. This chamber will, with some regularity, set out to limit the ways in which mostly governments but also society at large can oppress, exploit, or harass some individuals. This is one such case. We both recognise that some governments will not adhere international norms with regards to other sapient rights, the recurring debate over women's right to control their own bodies as just one example, so the World Assembly sets out to guide those governments with a resolution or three on the topic. The rights of people with oppressed gender identities or sexual orientations have been established in some general ways, but governments can still oppress them by, for instance, telling them through mandatory schooling that they are wrong, sinful, or somehow illegitimate, or by inducing the public at large to harass people of these minorities. It is my belief, though I acknowledge that I am an universalist in this, that it is the duty of the international community to uphold sapient rights despite the efforts of backwards governments, and I view this draft resolution as expanding on sapient rights for an oft-oppressed group. I dare assume, Ambassador, that we agree on the former, and I would like to ask why we apparently disagree on the latter."

Reread my post first, there's a great new myriad of content.

How am I off-topic? I'm addressing what you said and pointing out a falsehood that you had in your post (and now I've pointed out another, in an edit to my post).

I feel like this "keep on subject" statement is trying to pull me away from debate with you because you're scared of it...
