It does not punish those who commit fraud. It punishes those who sell gems not evaluated by an IGA-accredited lab. If it made non-IGA-accredited lab-tested gems sold under the pretence of a gem evaluated by an IGA-accredited lab illegal, then it would be preventing fraud. As it is, the proposal simply squelches economic freedom.

Indeed we begin to wonder what could possibly motivate your Excellency's position on this statute. In what way does Daitru benefit from allowing massive international criminal organisations to reap ever increasing profits from a massive black market gem trade? What does your Excellency's government stand to gain from allowing poor miners, gem processors and a host of other workers in various branches of this trade, amounting to some billions of persons, to have their pockets picked by the most disgusting of criminal cartels and syndicates?

We are quite frankly appalled at what may be the answers to these questions.

Indeed it was a close run thing your Excellency, making such stalwart support as that offered to it by the honoured delegation of Charlotte Ryberg all the more vital, and for that and for similar support offered by other delegations we shall be forever grateful. If your Excellency's government wishes to discuss the terms of a trade agreement regarding gemstones the CSKU will be extremely well disposed towards it.



In the early hours of last night the delegation of the Confederated Sublime Khanate of Urgench went to bed tired by the exertions of advocating for this resolution and despondent at the apparent failure of those exertions. This morning we awoke to the felicitous news that in the final moments of the vote a reverse in fortune had occurred and the resolution had been carried. Not for the first time we were reminded that international politics is an extraordinary and dramatic field of endeavour.


Other than those we have already named, the diplomats of Mousebumples and Krioval among them, there are many other delegations and nations whom it is incumbent upon us to thank for this victory for free and fair trade. Indeed that this resolution is the summation of a long period of drafting it could not fail to have involved the efforts of some of the best minds this organisation has the blessing of being graced with.

To all those who have offered their help, and indeed to all those who voted this resolution in to law, we offer the traditional Urgenchi exhortation to fate, the names of your Ancestors shall be joined in glory by your own, may you be famed for eternity in the honour songs of your people, may your Horde ride swift across the plain, and ever to your banner for all time!

We thank your Excellency, this is indeed a highly useful gift, Bacillus Anthracis was eradicated in Urgench, and indeed the world as we know it many centuries ago and medical advances, in the form of Dew drugs have made Urgenchis impervious to such primitive bacterial pathogens. This sample strain will be added to the sample banks at the Hunduk Institute for Medical Science at the University of the Empire in Khodzhent and will quite likely also be studied by the scientists of the Bureau of Defence Sciences and Military Research and will provide useful scientific information which will doubtless come in very handy when trying to understand the level of scientific advancement of less progressed states.
