Apparently saying anything that doesn't pleasure GenSec is an accusation of abuse. Splendid.

It's not. If you feel a member of GenSec if abusing their position, report it in moderation. If not, don't.

Cesnica was implying that my lack of admiration toward GenSec was an accusation of abuse. Any other interpretation makes their post nonsensical.
While she had no regrets about throwing the lever to douse her husband's mistress in molten gold, Blanche did feel a pang of conscience for the innocent bystanders whose proximity had caused them to suffer gilt by association.

Which resolutions? The one that ensures those with disabilities have all necessary assistance in voting? The one that outlaws forced marriages? The one that stopped corporations from profiting from the exploitation of poor farmers? You know he's never passed an abortion resolution, right?

And even if you disagree with his work (although I suspect you are unfamiliar with it), his contribution to the game from an OOC perspective is substantial and commendable. This vote is a sham.

Wallenburg wrote:That is, until Moderation throws it back to this thread.

If your complaint is that GenSec is abusing its power, it belongs in moderation. If you're just whining, then it will be sent back to this forum.

I'm not voting against this because of his resolutions or GA work, I'm explaining how his resolutions and GA work can lead to a non-small minded reason to oppose his commendation. I'm voting against this because every interaction I've had with CD has been profoundly unpleasant.

Also, it isn't for lack of trying that he's failed to pass a WA resolution on abortion.

There are many groups and people who have contributed greatly to the game from an OOC perspective who would never be commedned (See: most condemned GPers and GP regions, most condemned RPers..., etc)

The Greater Libertalian Islands will be voting FOR being in favour of commending the Christian Democrats. We believe the aims and actions of the CD align much with our own beliefs and so will throw our blind but ever strong support behind them.

Honestly, I can't recall ever interacting with you. I know a little bit about you as a player* -- founder of Kantrias, runs around in some raider-monarchist circles, recently came out as genderqueer/questioning -- but I don't think I've ever talked to you.

* Just as I know a little bit about most of this game's prominent players.

Or she could have assumed you were talking about GenSec misconduct, seeing as you were responding to a post that said "If you have an accusation of GenSec misconduct to levy, the place to do it is in Moderation or by GHR. This is not the proper venue for slinging unsupported allegations around."

I assumed and continue to assume that Cesnica is capable of more than kindergarten-level reading comprehension. For that reason, I consider your interpretation improper.

We've engaged in passing discussions here, in GP and in Technical, and every single one has been profoundly unpleasant, especially your peanut-gallery bomb throwing in Technical.

Certainly one person in this interaction has been unpleasant to deal with.
