You are surprised people are concerned over thugs with guns? I am always concerned, that even criminals on the prohibited persons list can buy a gun. It is far too easy to buy a gun without taking a background check, and anyone who says otherwise must explain why "criminals will always have gu...

Calling it mandatory buy back doesn't change the fact that it's an unconstitutional confiscation. Illinois Representative Sean Casten feels deeply that “we have too many guns.” His innovative solution to this pressing problem: a buyback. But not just any ol’ buyback. Illinois Rep. Sean Casten: We N...

Pope Saint Peter the Apostle wrote:One could, of course, also prohibit judicial review.
Art. 120, Constitution for the Kingdom of the Netherlands wrote:The constitutionality of Acts of Parliament and treaties shall not be reviewed by the courts.

That just seems stupid. What's the point of a constitution of one can simply pass whatever paws anyhow.

I’m more talking about the libertarian cases that Goursh seems to favor. Gun rights cases would be decided 5-4 . But certain civil rights cases could go the other way with Goursh voting with the majority. God I hope this new court lineup strikes down Hughes. I'm ready to dump thousands into support...

So just how much of a threat is Barrett to civil rights progress? Quite a big one, apparently. She’s right though. The courts shouldn’t be where we get our rights but from legislation. We should stop acting like our rights are set in stone because a judge said they where. We should be codifying tho...

They aren’t going to overturn either of them. Roe isn’t going to get overturned but the court won’t defend it either. Basically they’ll allow the states to put more regulations on abortion without any check, effectively making the case toothless. Though that plan could go to shit if Roberts resigns...

Therefore him saying someone is guilty of a crime is utterly meaningless. Just as meaningless as anything else on this site...

And how many of those 52% are trump voters who will switch to Biden if republicans push it through. How many people who would have voted for biden are going to switch to trump if he pushes it through now? Nearly all of them. Biden is up 50% nationally. So it’s not hard to see 2% more for Biden. The...

There is no precedent. The GOP controlled the senate in both cases. For a party to block their own president's nomination to wait for an election is unprecedented. Additionally there's the strategic reality that in both cases the democrats benefited from waiting, since doing so was a political issu...

Attempting to forgo a democratic process just so Trump can have the last laugh when he loses the election. SCOTUS appointments are no laughing mat...
