Point of advice: if you want the admins to pay attention to you, at least attempt to hide that you're trying to get us to endorse your position that the GA is superior to the SC. I'm pretty sure that for Todd and me, at least, that is not the case. I don't view the GA as superior - the SC is the bo...

It'd probably lead to too much spam. Being featured region boosts a region's profile, which may help slightly with recruitment, but I can't see how there'd be any benefit for a nation to be featured.

I'd agree with all of Todd's points, except for lowering thresholds (with my already mentioned proviso that membership of the WA stays as it is). I think we've had a reasonable number of C&C resolutions/repeals taken to vote, and considering there'd probably be more of them around if the SC/GA w...

With regards to the 'time honoured tradition' clause, to explain better why I'd ignore it (aside from the fact that it would otherwise invalidate the WA), you just have to look at other passed WA resolutions to see that the WA is obviously not neutral on nations/regions (eg especially "Condemn ...

The only pressing question here is, will [violet] be willing to listen to players' concerns this time? Seriously? I doubt it. And you're right (and so is Todd), the sensible solution would be to separate the SC and GA entirely so that they don't interfere with one another in any way. So long as the...

Plus its illegal, as you can't condemn a region that is already commended (and vice versa).

I didn't "run away", I've been busy the last few days. I'd be more than happy to have a debate on griefing, but as its not entirely relevant to this resolution, I'd suggest you start a thread in the gameplay forum, and we can have it there. As for this resolution, the essential points are ...

I like their ballads and their piano-based pieces. Being featured on a Twilight soundtrack makes them lose some respect points, but I understand that they haven't been selling much records. Haven't or hadn't? If its the latter, they were doing extremely well before Twilight. They probably agreed to...

"cultural belief system, religion, or tradition" can still support racism, gender inequality, genital mutilation, murder of the first-born or pretty much anything you care to name. I'd suggest removing part II c. in its entirety.

This resolution is nothing more than a luddite attack on scientific and social progress. The Sedgistani delegation believes that it can benefit hitherto isolated communities by sharing with them its superior technologies, and introducing them to such novel social concepts as gender equality. These c...

The WA isn't supposed to be an impartial base, or we wouldn't have it voting, and thereby expressing a collective opinion . 10KI isn't being commended just for being a defender region - its being commended for being an exceptional one. The WA can commend a region for whatever aspects of it that it l...

@Segistan: I am not talking about the WA voting one way or the other. That is none of my business. But what I am against is favouritism written into resolutions. For instance, this is akin to saying in a tax resolution "This tax resolution exempts all nations with the letter "o" in t...

To be clear, I am not working on behalf of 10KI (as they have asked others to in the past) to assist them with repealing this Commend and then writing a new one. I am writing this one solely because I believe that this resolution is a poorly written one that show significant bias in the WA. A very ...

Their latest album has been their most successful, so if they are showing off, it's working. Maybe their musical taste changed? Few bands have remained popular singing the same shit over and over and over and over and over and over. See it's even boring reading the same thing over and over again. I...
