If an asshole offers you X amount of his money, take it. That's X amount of money in potentially asshole-ish things that you just prevented.

Accepting a donation doesn't enter you into an obligation not to call the donator a dick.

Definitely. You can easily compensate by getting your news from sources with a different bias and not assuming whatever you hear on any news channel is entirely accurate. When you talk about it, hedge your statements. Rather than tweet "measles cures cancer" say "this news source has ...

Voting here is mandatory, so I always vote. You're always free to submit a blank vote, but I always make a choice. Your individual vote might be a single drop of water in a bucket, but enough votes can fill it up just fine. My vote is worth as much as anyone else's, but if you add them up they can m...

The shooters cited transphobic bullying as a motive and here we have posters calling for validating their grievance further. So, because they were allegedly bullied, it apparently justifies their actions of shooting up a school full of children? That's a might shitty position to be taking Gauth, ev...

Random factoids you can't help but remember

Heya folks. Usually I tend to recall random things. Utterly pointless things beyond perhaps an interesting conversation topic. I'm entirely convinced you lot also have plenty of seemingly useless knowledge sitting up there in your noggin', so I figured we might as well share it with eachother to ste...

People vaccinated against measles can spread measles. It’s a live virus, which means it’s capable of giving the person measles. So even if 100% of people were vaccinated, there would still be measles outbreaks caused by the vaccine. CA has one of the strictest vaccination laws. There are less unvac...

I find the idea bit's the easy part. It's the actual sitting down and writing bit that stops me.

Can confirm. Most of my dropbox is taken up by writing ideas.

There's a lot of underlying factors that's feeding the mindset of these people. For instance a lot of young people today have been fostered to believe they can achieve great things. If that doesn't happen, some turn into whiny cunts and some turn into crazy whiny cunts that want the praise of other...

It's a dangerous and generalized statement to make. I'm sure there are some fringe groups within the alt-right that claim they would like nothing less than to kill a bunch of muslims or jew. A lot of that is peacocking, I believe. Though we shouldn't just brush it all away - sometimes you just need ...
