Topic: Is a Third party/Multi party system better than a two party?

Multi-party system is beneficial, given that it diversifies the political system and removes general stigmas and divisiveness. And we wouldn't have the right calling the centre commies, because they don't need to. However a 2 party+ system is also pretty good (its what we have in Canada) where there...

Likely not, those types will are already pretty hardcore FvD or PVV supporters, and given the statistic Bromelia gave its just a case of a very vocal minority getting mad.

New poll out, and its quite the surprise. It shows a dip for the Greenleft, the VVD is back to a 35 seat prediction, the PvdD has had a huge surge, and are polling at 8 seats! Bij1 has also broke through and may very well win their first ever seat.

I do wonder what happened to Labor though. Has it gone woke or something? Israel needs at least two major parties, one economically left wing and staunchly Zionist and the other economically right wing and staunchly Zionist. As long as everyone agrees that Israel must remain a Jewish and democratic...

my personal view is that if your retired, you can't run. Which means no one over the age of 65 should be able to run for office.

Also, you know what else comes with age? mental illness.

well well well, in a stunning show of events Merav Michaeli was elected leader of the Labor Party, and they actually polled above the threshold! She might actually be able to turn the party around!

Ah yes, the thread I have been waiting for. I wholeheartedly support making Puerto Rico a state, as it has more people in it then 29 states and territories. 29! . And yes, the referendum also gets my full support and I hope Biden will go through with finally making it a state. Though with the Popula...

Should he be released? Yes. Do I support his politics? No. Is that a basis for him getting arrested? Absolutely not. Whilst I don't agree with him on many issues he should not be in jail.

We've got two primaries coming this weekend: Balad, one of the Joint List members, will be voting tomorrow. Party leader Mtanes Shehadeh is running against Sami Abu Shehadeh(no relation) for the leadership of the Pan-Arab secular left party. The party council's 600 members will meet in Nazareth. Al...

Clay gets my vote for sure, simply because he might not abuse Native American rights.

Also voter turnout is just completely collapsing! What is to be done?

Trudeau scrapped it when he came in. ah yes, the Harper Years. *sigh*. An era of so much lost hope...

There were 14,542 gun related murders in 2017. Contrarily there were 169,936 accidental Deaths in 2017. (Car crashes, falls, drug overdose/poisoning, drowning, fires.) Murders? Does that include school shootings, massacres, accidents etc.? and that is quite outdated given that its been 4 years and ...

I ve said this before and ill say it again: The answer to solving gun crime and crime in general is NOT giving people more guns! Honestly I don't see why anyone would think this is a good idea! If someone really, really wants a gun for some reason (maybe for hunting or sports) they should have to go...

I feel like this kind of question should always have the follow-up of 'Are you volunteering to do the abolishing?' Kings rarely resign of their own, free will. 'Abolishing' thus means 'Invade and topple the regime.' Surely everyone who voted 'Yes' is thus ready to volunteer for the army and be firs...
