Read an interesting article a while back where someone said that Chamberlain's "appeasement" of Hitler was the only sensible option at the time. Chamberlain knew that war was ultimately inevitable but his actions gave Britain the extra time to have the chance to rearm properly and prepare ...

It's certainly on the way to becoming a police state. Mind you, we have had a police state for years here in the UK.

I am in favour of full independence for England, Scotland and Wales. Not sure about what that would mean for Northern Ireland though, whether they would then become part of a united Ireland or not.

This vile man should have been given the boot ages ago.

But even if he does he no doubt will have a job on Sky TV doing the same thing on an even bigger salary.

Clegg will wipe the floor with Farage.

Whether you like the LIb Dem leader or not you have to admit he is good at debating, remember his performances in the run up to the 2010 General Election. Farage on the other hand has a habit of losing his temper in interviews.

Bear in mind it is the party members who have the vote on who becomes leader.

And these are the people who chose Iain Duncan Smith in 2001... A man who had as much chance of winning the next election as I had of winning an Olympic Gold medal.

I really like Matt Smith as the Doctor, he's got excellent range but he's being let down by some pretty bad stories. Good comment... I thought he was excellent in the first few stories he appeared in but things have gradually deteriorated since then. Last night for me was a disappointing episode, o...
