Honestly, I doubt the mods will go that far. Now, if there is another incident they'll probably go zero-tolerance, but for now so many people were involved it seems excessive to DOS them all... especially considering, though they made horrendously poor judgement in trusting a tool made by a DOS'd m...

Before what I assume will be the mod's biblically epic punishment on much of raiding is handed down, I would like to dispel the notion that the raiders who used Predator knew it was illegal. Many well-liked and guileless players have used it since it's inception. Some decently tech wise people thoug...

Please keep in mind how everyone copes with stress in different ways. I'm not saying what he did was okay, but the stress is not in fact, "bull." Please also bear in mind his age, which is no excuse, either, but it is a factor. So immaturity is an excuse for potential criminal activity no...

Nah the defender vitriol was probably real. They don't dare pull that on TITO because they're much bigger than you were and they need them.

I would be surprised if you had the energy for that. In your NS dotage all you seem to do is talk about the long dead past. However if you are in Anarchy by all means stay. Just leave your old war stories from the era of dial-up and MySpace in the "History Questions" thread found somewher...

Nah, it's more like when the Shah celebrated 2500 years of the monarchy in Persia. Sure some historians said there hadn't exactly been 2500 continuous years of Persian monarchy but there weren't a lot of ancient Persians around to really care about such technicalities. Alas these historians were do...

So is the original DEN having a 12th anniversary somewhere that we should know about, one of the varied schisms afterwards is celebrating, is this about the 12th anniversary of the Black Riders, the 12th anniversary of the region Anarchy, or is this the new zombie branding invader group trying to l...

Ballotonia has been working on code for update timers, which aim to make that info available to everyone, not just via API/RSS, but I'm not sure what state it's in. If this is happening soonish then the following has no ill effect because it will be a temporary fix. Technically, it's simple enough ...

Incredibly unlikely wish list: Let's players swap who the founder nation is. Can finally get rid of founder nam...

PS: No one in raiding has complained about California, so no reason not to occupy it. Maybe because the raider(s) who founded it have had their region and history misappropriated by a group of wannabe TBR 'raiders' who feel the need to piggyback on a decade old organisation's reputation and effort....

Why should invasion be so much easier than defense? There are several changes coming that will benefit defenders. There's delegate-elect, update time displayed, custodians (it helps natives remove themselves from gameplay entirely), and the admins are going to change how long player's keep access t...

In this case, perhaps. But ROs give natives more people who might be on around update to stop a raid. Had I not immediately went to dismiss the officers, the current RO could have ejected me. Natives already other options to nullify raid threats including passwording and working to refound the regi...

Because it kind of looks like that region... I dunno, you tell me NS historian. Regale me with tales of the raiders of yore who rode into ...

Give an influence heavy nation, which all regional officer's are going to be, 26 hours to notice there is a different delegate and that's not going to be a fight, it's going to be a knockout blow from the natives. And how exactly is this a problem? If the admins don't want occupations then it's not...

New Delegates should be unable to make any changes at all to Regional Officers for the first 26 hours. This suggestion would destroy raiding occupations. It is hard enough to overtake a delegate, but if raiders have to also think about other nations who have border control, then most targets will b...

I'll just say that a delay in dismissal of regional officers is infinitely worse than the already proposed delegate elect feature. That lends itself to a possible struggle between factions but if you give regional officers in founderless regions 26 hours to reverse a raid that's never going to be a ...

At the end of the day the admins have to decide if they want occupations to be feasible. A time delay/influence cost to dismiss regional officers would give founderless regions nearly the same defense as having a founder. Influence penalties or multipliers on regional officer's actions in founderles...

Defenders manage to get one of their own as an RO... All it would take is one old puppet nation in a founderless region to end any occupation. Founderless regions don't have elections so as soon as a new nation takes the delegacy the natives will know a raid has happened. Then they'll have 26 hours...

The R/D aspects of the game are not generally governed solely by mob rule and players can choose which way I...
