Yes.. except they're speaking from their times. Taking a look at the most irreligious countries - and ignoring China because one simply cannot trust that data - and you're practically looking at a list of most to least stable countries. So what’re saying is that in contemporary times, less religios...

Thermometers disagree. Weather and climate are different things. Not exactly, climate is the accumulated average of weather over time, they're an inseparable part of each other. In most places, weather can change from minute-to-minute, hour-to-hour, day-to-day, and season-to-season. Climate, howeve...

I don't see why a specific type of organisation gets to exclusively speak before a council meeting, and I couldn't trust that they're merely prayers for a good meeting over a sermon with specific views. Seems an insidious nurturing of a belief not held by all. Ban them all or open them up. Do you n...

I'd go further to say any non-profit organisation should be invited to speak, shouldn't be limited to religious bodies. An invocation is a prayer to open the meeting. If a non profit wanted to speak before the city council its unlikely unless in very specific circumstances they would be denied. The...

The globe is not warming, it is actually cooling. Carbon dioxide has very little effect on the environment anyway. The sun is in a stage called the "Grand Solar Minimum", which means the earth will be experiencing cooler temperatures. During 2008–09 NASA scientists noted that the Sun is u...

There's quite a good initiative here - https://showyourstripes.info - where you can select your country and see the heat shift over the past 150 years. Add in desertification and pollution and one can well imagine a lifeless planet, which is technically not good even for an unfeeling planet. I mean...

As I've said, HK will be subsumed into the megacity that is the Greater Bay Area. On February 18, Chinese policymakers finally released the blueprint for the development of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area. Much anticipated by real estate developers, industrialists, and investors alike, th...

Take it up with NASA. Governments (and scientists) come to bigoted results sometimes, based on what they were looking for. It happens. The program quickly lays out the essential elements of the story. A 1925 War Department study concluded that blacks were temperamentally and biologically unsuited t...

I'm presenting you with an argument right now. It should be mixed because it is morally wrong to only send a single gender to space-and just making more men doesn't alleviate that. It would be horrendous and tragedy to only take one gender-and i sincerely hope that if our species ever does this, th...
