I'm perfectly fine with TCB's proposed changes, and would have no problems relinquishing the rest of Belarus as long as you take Bryansk oblast as well. I don't think I could take the map's look otherwise. ;) And hey, everyone loves a long, narrow country, right? That would leave us with ~107,828,89...

¡Vamos California! I've always imagined los Osos as a bit of an expy of el Tri , perhaps minus the homophobic chanting. Lots of dominance in non-world-cup events combined with boisterous marches through the group stages and either oh-so-close or downright embarrassing exits in the single elimination...

I will honestly say that I had not read the last few posts in the thread having focused on the initial posts. thus I did not realise I was making a rival claim until the application was already made. If the group chooses to accept San Hieronymi into AMW I am willing to find a new location but would...

Also, if he would like to stay in Europe, I'd be willing to pull the Shield out of the Czech Republic and Poland (except Podlaskie, since I want to keep a WoS border). I know the Baltic and central Europe isn't exactly the French Riviera, but it's something. ;)

Argh, so you want me to actually enumerate my vague thoughts on export restrictions??? ;)

No worries. I'll have to do some thinking on it myself. I'll try to hang around discord and hook up with you there for some real chatting!

Only a quick response from me for now, Transport and reconnaissance America and California seems like the most likely sources for those. Luckily, the P-3 is made by Lockheed, and if California is amenable to exporting to a fellow liberal country... /EDIT: And as for the Harrier, I have no problem w...

Super late responding to TCB's excellent post. The Jaizar is indeed the Shieldian name for the Volga. The River Mans is their name for the Dnister, and the Daldan is the Dnieper. Certainly, any animosity from Gandvik is matched by the Shieldian state, which sees itself as an embattled state on the v...

It perhaps seemed strange that here the Gull Flag should be so still when back on the Shield everyone was waving it with an exaggerated fury. The last week had featured a brawl in the National Assembly, as debate over the fate Citizen Callahan, the ci-devant High King, had reached a crescendo. The M...

The bow was good, Jessica noted, thinking that perhaps she had finally found a country where the lower classes knew their standing. It was customary in California to treat everyone as equals, from the richest tech billionaire to the most recently arrived economic migrant, a culture clash which grate...

Marimaian Embassy California Some might have shied away from the presumption of arriving at another nation's embassy and declaring it an official state visit, of inviting oneself over. But the Callahans were not the sort who balked at things like the feelings of others. Three hundred years ago, Eur...

California For as crowded as the house seemed, there were never enough people around for the tasks that needed doing. Jessica had to wait until Weathers came off duty as the Boy-King's guard for him to drive her downtown. And she couldn't even complain after the fight she'd had with her sister and ...

Barony of Gurdesteppe Southern Weshield The blast on a whistle was so brief and abbreviated that the players for a moment were unsure of whether or not a penalty had been called. The infringement of the line of the ball was flagrant, but the perpetrator was the High King of the Shield, whose infrac...

I had thought that, in the discussion with LRR, most of Belarus (all except Vitebsk) and the Russian oblast of Bryansk went to the Shield. I might be misremembering, or or he might have changed his mind -- either of which is fine with me! :)

I like this application a lot. There's a ton of information, it's uniquely presented, and the nation described has a distinctly AMW feel to it. It has my vote.

I'm still here, just haven't been able to motivate myself for much in the way of posting lately. I don't have too much relevant to add, except that I vehemently disagree with any description of the Great War era Shield as a powerhouse. "Net liability or "the albatross around the Oakist nec...

Ian runs in with a fistful of F-104s to sell LRR. He sees Mod with all his flashy shit and his bottom lip quivers ever so slightly. As he lets himself back out, he kicks a can and wonders out loud how Paristan intends to make widows without him. More seriously, I'd say the F-5 is probably available...

Wassat? Someone wants lawn darts? Just let me know who I need to bribe! For what it's worth, California doesn't use a numerical designation for aircraft. Since el SUD was introduced, fighter-types receive a Spanish-language name starting with the letter 'C' (from caza). The F-104 saw (fairly brief) ...

¡Vamos California! The news cycle in California has been obsessed lately with drought. No, not the on-going water shortage afflicting farmers and homeowners across the Republic: a far more important drought. The World Cup is rolling around once more and the white-and-gold clad supporters of los Oso...
