This might be consistent now.

By the way, I've been trying to track down a weird /asnation= bug forever, where sometimes we seem to get nations loaded as strings instead of objects. Have you encountered any strange page errors when using /asnation?

Yep, for sure. I'm still a bit confused as to why you want a definition of a "browser," since this isn't mentioned in the Script Rules. A script isn't a browser but is bound by the same rules as browser add-ons. Additionally, two new Issues scripts (for Cards gameplay) are in development. ...

Okay! Boosting for Factions will be a thing. This can be set by any Regional Officer with Appearance authority.

Regions that have their own Faction can still boost for another Faction as well.

More detail from our ad provider. But basically yes, it's because we use a platform that invites many different ad channels to compete for ad slots, rather than giving all traffic to Google. The number of ad trackers on your site increases as there are more demand channels/ad networks in your ad sta...

I'm not able to reproduce the problem on Chrome/ium or Firefox. Those who experience it regularly, are you able to open a browser console and report any errors? For privacy reasons you might want to send any info to admin@nationstates.net or file a GHR.

Yeah, I use it myself sometimes, like for quickly testing whether the site is up. I just don't want to confuse the issue because I don't think it matters whether we call it a browser or not.

I'm finding this angle of questioning a bit strange. The Script Rules detail what is permissible when interacting with the HTML site. It's very restrictive, because wherever possible, all automated or script-like behavior should be happening on the API, not the HTML site. All tools are treated the s...

Fair question. We use a single ad provider, but they support "header bidding," which is a technology where ad slots are auctioned off in real time to competing ad networks. I'll ask the provider, but I suspect this is why there's a high number of different ad networks detected.

Thank you so much! I will package it with said warning as there is a simple way to run it by pressing enter and having it force the user to wait for the server to be done before sending the next request. Just so we're clear, it's not sufficient to release a tool that can be easily used in an illega...

Brief (10min) downtime ahead AGAIN - 2nd one (all done)

Gameside will be out of action for about 10 minutes after the daily update concludes, i.e. around 10:45pm PDT, so we can replace an aging disk drive. Edit: All done. We'll do another one in a day or two. Thanks for your patience. Edit 2: Actually we have an opportunity to do the next one now and...

I would not consider a headless browser setup like Selenium or Puppeteer to be a browser, as they're not intended for use by humans. We permit tools and add-ons on the HTML site that are basically tweaking the normal browser experience for a person; this doesn't sound like that.

If I understand correctly, then no, it's not permitted, as you're not waiting for the completion of the first request before issuing the second one. A tool may not execute restricted actions simultaneously, but must instead wait for the completion of each command--that is, a complete response from t...

Sadly this is a legally-mandated requirement for European users. It comes directly from our ad provider and we can't modify it. I will raise this with them to see if it's a known case. But it may be caused by a weird interaction with your browser and/or its add-ons - I notice a couple of things in y...

There is no simple way to schedule issues to arrive at particular times. If you really want to do it, you can let them build up until they hit the limit, then answer them at the desired time, which will start the countdown.
