Been talking with a bunch of my Muslim friends about this (note: I'm not Muslim but my paternal side is). Their seem to be two camps and an extra mini-camp, at least for the under 35 crowd. The first and more common view seems to be "it will probably amount to nothing but I trust Hamza Yusef an...

Re: Oppose the Unification of Europe?

I am Scottish as well and understand exactly what he means. The English dislike the Scots, the Scots dislike the English, the Welsh probably weigh in hating people as well. Why are we a unified country? We all live on the same island? We share a language? 1707? The fact that we've dominated you for...

I have an odd, disabling phobia of zee greys but I am pretty sure it's because of a TV movie I saw on UPN when I was 12. Still, I doubt aliens have been abducting people.

But I choose option 2 just in case they are watching. I like mine organs.

WHY DO YOU TORTURE ME!?!?!? tHIS SHOULDN'T BE THAT DIFFICULT! :palm: Well, I'm sorry, but it's actually very easy for a person to trigger my lunge-with-fork reflex. I'm just trying to save the planet here -- according to YOUR rules, I might add. You don't want me to stab the guy, do you? Then we ha...

We Have a Winner!!!!! Eh...don't get ahead of things. I might have to think about it overnight. Wayne was a big supporter of McCarthy and the HUAC. The more I think about him, the more I feel the urge to lunge at him with a fork. Only his size might save his life, as he could easily bat me away. Bu...

I honestly can't remember much about Islam, so correct me if I'm wrong... Isn't one of the caveats of Islam that life is of tantamount importance and that certain rules may be broken or "ignored" so that a follower may live? I assume this is correct since the same caveat exists in Judaism...

I would have gone for Meghan McCain... but we are both 'prosex' and thus share at least one view point. A3. David Horowitz, Sarah...

About $250 during my last semester, though most of my textbooks were anthropology paperbacks bought used online. Best thing about anthro and religious studies is that the traditional textbook dies after the basic courses and afterwards it is all market paperbacks and course readers. :D ... not looki...

I do it because it is kind of a fun challenge and I can give mine lunch money to charity. Don't really care about the religious aspect but I have always like the idea of fast-a-thon.

U-571 was pretty horrible in its distortion of reality and I can see how some people would think the events were at least some what based on reality. Inglorious Bastards... if anyone thinks this movie is historically accurate... then I... will be... sad. It is pretty freaking clear by the end.

As the agnostic child of an ex-Catholic now Deist mother and a Muslim Father, I have to say those parents are tripping balls. Honor killing aren't a part of Islam, though the murder of apostates is part of very conservative understandings of Shariah. There are plenty of authorities that would argue...

Having just seen the movie with a German-American guy and Jewish Russian-American gal and having to sit through a very annoying conversation on the drive back... Sounds like your "America" needs to get its priorities straightened out. Support the America for heartless jerks! Don't help anyone unless they're in your group! Reject people of some creeds/colours entirely for no particular reason! Heartless jerk, that's a new one... Its nothing group r...
