In space quite easily. A single one of our heavy fighters significantly outmasses their fairly small (by FT standards) fleet, and packs enough firepower to kill all of them with under half a second of lasing from the phased array given the listed shielding joule numbers. On the ground, eh. Synthmorp...

(On a secondary note, d'you think it'd be feasible for a very small light-gas gun to be used in a military capacity? I doubt it simply because ye olde "tiny projectile going f a s t" wouldn't be effective against thicker armor just based on my admittedly lacking knowledge of physics, but ...

OSA-001 has a top speed (is that delta-V or just cruise velocity?) of .25 c. At that velocity, a 450mm round will, assuming a mass of 1 ton, impact with approximately 700 megatons - there's little point to a 75 kiloton warhead at that velocity for directly inflicting damage (though it could still be...

The Rockhound's more of very heavy infantry than an armored vehicle role wise - HoT also has more conventional armor and aircraft as well as smaller support drones which I'll try and write up before my guys land (they also won't be using the Xiphos - that was purchased for deniable operations on NSE...

No, because any such "war" would be Baudrillard's The Gulf War Did Not Take Place x 1000. Even if one of our clades did want something out of a modern day US-esque nation for some reason the ensuing events would not meaningfully be a conflict.

OOC: Mach 3 bombers are fine for 1968, but true stealth aircraft won't be practical without 1975+ era computing tech, while supersonic stealth aircraft are even harder.

They're an interstellar civilization large enough to pose a threat, but we still outnumber them by a large margin, their ships seem rather undergunned relative to ours, and their infantry are mostly biological. They're large enough that we'd likely need to pull in the full force of Moria, though.

lol no they wouldn't. Even without shielding the total dose on a Mars round trip using Hohmann transfers is within NASA limits, and you can cut that significantly with shorter flight times and shielding. Microgravity time on a round trip is comparable to longer ISS stays and micrometeorites are a n...

I would think that by the time we have the technology to sustainably maintain a large population on Mars, we could just live in space. It's big and empty, much better suited to spreading out our eggs. Living in space long term is nonsensical if we can colonize other planets. Further, candidates suc...
