While they're certainly dangerous in a fight, I'm really not too sure what mechs can offer that tanks cannot, given that PMT level railgun tech and fire control systems could very easily negate any perceived mobility advantage. Okay, but ricochet-flying tho... /skipme Excuse me, but what the hell i...

Thirdly, if the previous two aren’t evidence enough that some sort of reality-Bending is at play, they’ve somehow got supersonic sonar. God knows how that works, it sure isn’t stated in the factbook. Sonar is technically already supersonic, as it travels on average at Mach 4 (speed of sound in air)...

Anthrax.

That does have its advantages; deadliness, low chance of friendly fire, ease of production-- but it doesn't spread at all behind enemy lines. Is there a more efficient means of dispersal than the good ol' sealed anthrax envelope?

So I was reading about the AN/MPQ-64 Sentinel radar, and it states that the system is anti-radiation missile resistant-- how is that possible, considering if the radar outputs radar waves, the passive systems of an ARM would track it? Does that mean it just is able to turn itself off quick?

AN: That [/hr] sure does seem spooky. AAN: Synne's air force is something to behold. Their so-called third generation (looking at the cursed, deal-made-with-the-devil variant of the F-4 Phantom), if it's even legal to compare it with the third or even fourth generation of real life, shoots so far be...

How are SLCMs guided to their targets (ship-borne, for example)? Of course, I know about their inertial guidance system and terminal guidance but what I am asking is how does the submarine cue the missile onto its target while submerged, then update it via data link?

Is everything alright with this write-up for a diesel-electric sub? Any typos, missing details, or major flaws? I feel like I might've phrased or understood the propulsion system incorrectly. Also have no clue how a torp tube-launched cruise missile gets out of the water.

Alright, I guess what i was asking was what modern submarine warfare looked like; because it seems to me that once a submarine gives away its position by firing a tomahawk or torpedo it'll be cucked by maritime patrol aircraft or the like. How stealthy are torpedo tubes? That is, if a single or a pair of ASW vessels were on the prowl for a hypothetical attack or ballistic missile submarine, would it be better for it to completely remain silent and still, or could it hazard firing torpedos or Tomahawks given they were sufficiently far ...

I know this is going to sound cartoonishly villainous, but that's the point: would a nuclear-powered, radioactive paint-coated HGV with a CHAMPS-like EMP payload work ? I know it wouldn't be the most combat effective or even cost effective, but would any of the components create any major problems? ...
