Yeah, I’m gonna have to downvote this. Not that I’m particularly against it. But rather that this article seems to force a liberal agenda. It is going after a great cause. But any conservative nation would be forced to bend their own wills for this proposal. For that I’m gonna have to downvote this.

This entire thing is great and all, but with the repeated attacks against only Right-winged areas you would begin to doubt that the WA is neutral in political opinions. I respect that the Security council is doing something, but I also fear that these actions may be trying to shun out the Right, cre...

The promotion of Neo-Nazi groups is of course wrong, and anyone willing to promote the genocide of innocents should be condemned but remember that Fascism isn't an ideology about killing, it simply is just an ideology, and the people have a right to believe and promote what ideology they believe is ...

We are voting against this ban, as we do not find the proposal's arguments convincing or reasonable. We would be more supportive of a proposal to reexamine and limit the death penalty, however. Yes, I would agree on terms that restricted or banned the usage of more torturous executing methods. Thin...

I am voting "For". Human dignity an rights is above all. Okay... but why should you apply that to those that most certainly didn't for others, 'treat others the way you want to be treated' is a real moral y'know, and if their going to kill people you should be allowed to return the favor ...

Why do that? Simply leave like the rest of us are proposing, if the WA is going to control our governments for us then let us show them how divided they are when over half of them leave. Don't wait for the impossible, as the a controversy such as this would only mean that those that were in the maj...

Compare this debate to the current EU crisis.
Giant intertwined economy attempting to force those that came under it's wing to adopt it's policies and accept it's rules, completely ignoring the traditions and what most people think.

OOC: I only just joined NationStates and the World Assembly very recently, and this happens. How am I supposed to condemn errant dictatorships and liberate oppressed regions now, not to mention endorse and be endorsed by other nations in my region? Great to hear you voted nay!

I recently sent out a telegram to all World Assembly member nations outlining why they should vote no. If you have not yet, please read it.

Oh I have, I actually replied as well :P

Why I went Nay.

Dear members of the WA, I for one, am strongly against the banning of Capitol punishments. Several ideas that I am talking about below support why I chose this. 1. The first argument made is that you can't undo the deaths of someone that was innocent, while yes, I agree to this, framing someone that...
