That seems very reasonable to me. It would give Walmington a significant power base for colonisation and makes sense from a historical point of view. I also like the idea about a last Ditch (heh) defence of "England" against the Norse, even though a large part of their army would likely h...

Only a quick response from me for now, Transport and reconnaissance America and California seems like the most likely sources for those. Luckily, the P-3 is made by Lockheed, and if California is amenable to exporting to a fellow liberal country... /EDIT: And as for the Harrier, I have no problem w...

I was going to suggest dividing London on the Thames and sending the population from south of the river to the north, but if you, Cass, are willing to send the whole city to WoS (while you retain the population) that would also be agreeable to me. Though I admit to initial scepticism about ...

Only a quick response from me for now, since I've been working through the night and will be for some time. I'm happy to see we might just find a way to accomodate everyone with this switch. WoS, your ideas seem eminently reasonable. Now, to address at least a few of the more pressing topics: Englan...

@WoS, I have also assumed that Walmington and the tentatively named Danelaw will be rivals, both in Europe (the Baltic Sea and maybe England) and as rivals over colonies. Although, with most of Britain having been Norse for around a thousand years, it might be that the rivalry is somewhat one-sided ...

So far, the only thing that stands that TCB has graciously decided to let me inherit Sweden and Norway, as well as a Norse treaty port on Hong Kong. I've drawn up a preliminary list of possible colonies as well, which won't interfere with any existing claims. Anything beyond that is subject to Chrin...

If there were a coalition, we could essentially have our Napoleon and Waterloo, with a fascist Roman Revolution. Neat ;).

Hum... I've been trying to catch up on AMW developments even during my inexcusable CTE (I swear, that doesn't happen to me usually!), but I'm still not up to speed. Suffice to say that if you'll still have me, I'd be happy to reclaim my old spot, if it's not too much of a bother. I'm stil swamped wi...

Already tried that, but I couldn't get imagine a nation surviving between those two empires, so I scrapped the idea. I think Chrin's taking the place under his wing now. Not to mention the claim itself is weird, with half of it rugged mountains and half of it flat as a pancake. Well, Switzerland is...

SO, last night I was talking to Beeg in the IRC discussing about whether we have an AMW-equivalent of UEFA Europa League. We probably do behind the RP scenes and all. But, what it got me thinking was if, maybe, we could have an annual football RP doing the knockout stages and culminating in the AMW...

Alright. I neglected you guys shamefully, and as far as my defence goes, I can only say that I had a few weeks full of both personal and work-related* problems coming up, with uni as the finishing touch. I *am* sketching out bits of my replies whenever I can, and I will post as soon as I can. Tentat...

Well, not strictly true. I have a document open at home all formatted. There's just no content in between the spoiler tags. ^ This, I'm afraid, is a pretty accurate description of the situation on my end, too. I have a bunch of notes, but still need to form a coherent post. I hope to have something...

I would say, though, is that strikes attempting to hook around Amberland would still face at least some opposition from AWACS-controlled interceptor squadrons, though nearly all long-range SAM equipment has of course been concentrated to cover the border zone. That's definitely reasonable, and the ...

Sorry for being so late in posting my reply, I’ve been rather busy these past days, albeit with mostly very agreeable things (such as organising and hosting a party and going to a medieval market). No worries about godmodding, TCB, I think this is a reasonable adjustment given the changed geographic...

This is absolutely the result of sloppy map-making on my part, but I'd just like to point out that the Gandvian 2nd Division along the River Bug is supposed to be heavily attacking the Nibelung 2nd Panzeraufklärungs Brigade, aiming to overrun its positions or force it back, rather than engaging in ...

Well, Nibelunc's opening moves are posted, apart from Weshield, which is coming up, and it's only slightly over a week late ;). I hope it makes sense and doesn't go into godmodding - if you see something you think is wrong, goes too far or simply looks like it's been written by a sleep-deprived stud...

Munstra, Nibelunc Alderman Ahler had spent the last days before the Gandvian attack trying to prepare his country for the greatest contest of arms since the Great War. The Heerbann had supported the Parliament of Nations during the Dra-Poel wars of the 1980s, and the Nibelung military had conducted...

Excuse the double-post, but I forgot to add a bit about Nibelung wartime production. Losses of armoured vehicles, except for Fafnir 2s, during the Desert War were significant, but have been replenished from reserve stocks and the original disbandment of divisions. Nibelunc still has a sizable fleet ...

Thank you, TCB, I actually cribbed the TO&E's design from you, but didn't get around to write in-depth descriptions like you did ;). Interesting point, BTW - I mixed West German and American OOB elements, similar to the Bundeswehr's Heeresstruktur V. The West German divisions of the 1980s were d...

That looks good to mean, Ian, as I said on the IRC :). Now, something that has been lying around on my desktop for weeks. This is preliminary and doesn't include high-level formations, but it should give some idea of what exactly is opposing Gandvian forces. I will be prone to reworkings of individu...

I'm working on a reply-slash-wrapup post for the last days before D-Day now. Let me grant you a little glimpse in both my and the average Nib soldier's reaction to the artillery bombardment, though. https://lh3.ggpht.com/-KFTAGKIVqHw/UcvgqjXhz1I/AAAAAAAAJCE/Rd__PLpPwIU/s1600/89-funny-pictures-486.jpg

I can work with that. I'll try to post soon, and if it's the same to you, I might include retcons for one or two political details (such as foreign reactions to Nibelung requests) later. I don't think that would impact the first days of the war anyway.
