The Republic of Korea (ROK), commonly referred to as Korea (KOR), is a democratic presidential republic composed of over 8 provinces, a Special City namely known as Seoul, nine direct-controlled municipalities (Pyongyang, Busan, Daegu, Incheon, Gwangju, Daejeon, Ulsan, Wonsan, Kaesong), and 1 autonomous region of Jeju Island and various possessions.
