That was the phrase that an agent codenamed Agent Spider would tell Finchman. Agent Spider’s real name was Alexander Jacobs a Siberian native who was sympathetic to the communist government of Wasabiton and was assigned to infiltrate the capitalist rebels in Washington DC. He was here to tell Finchman his new assignment. They entered the secret safe house where Jacobs spoke.
“ Hello Agent Tropic, I have here your new assignment.” said Jacobs with a calm and smooth voice
He then handed down a folder containing all the details of the mission.
“ At about 3:00 pm tomorrow the leader of the capitalist rebellion himself Jake Manley, the son of Former leader Dackson Manley will be in an alley behind 34th street to make a deal with a local arms dealer. I want you to assassinate him and the arms dealer. There is no better person for the job than you good luck”. Explained Jacobs.
Jacobs then left the building and went home. After that Finchman went home and thought about what would happen the next day.

History: After the regaining of independence in the 19th century, the nation rose to power and prominence in Europe. King George V rebuilt the Greek military and modernized it with British and French weaponry. Later, in 1913, Greece, with the help of its Balkan allies, managed to retake a large amount of Greek land, taking much of the territory west of Constantinople. Current leader Julius Maximus has set his sights on retaking the Christian city.

Goals: Conquer Constantinople, Greek empire.

The Experiment

Daniel Shays' protests recently violent. He and his supporters attempted to once more shut down the courts, this time in Springfield, Hampden County. The Federal Government and the State Government both lacked the power to react. In a preemptive move, the local militia, headed by General William Shephard, organized outside the courthouse. When Shays and his supporters found this, they chose to demonstrate instead of violently react. The court, despite the protection that Shephard's 300 men force provided, adjourned and heard no cases. Shephard later withdrew his militia, which at this point is estimated at 1,200 troops, to defend the federal armory, a rumored target of seizure by the Shays activists.

Similar protests occured throughout Massachusetts, including in Great Barrington, Concord, and Taunton. All of the aforementioned protests were succesful at either forcing the court to adjourn. Although larger towns such as Worcester and Boston have still been able to meet, all of their court hearings required substantial protection by the militia.

The Continental Army leaders were shocked at this violent farmer resistance. Samuel Adams has declared that foreigners are "instigating treason," while James Warren declared "We are effectively in a state of anarchy and civil war." Governor Bowdoin and the legislature attempted a serious of reforms as to appease the farmers. The legislature lowered taxes, allowed taxes to be paid in goods instead of currency, and offered pardon to protestors swearing oaths of allegiance. This did not help

In the east of Massachusetts, more forces were organized. Continental Army leader Benjamin Lincoln organized a 3,000 man privately-funded militia.

General Shephard and his forces disobeyed orders from Bowdoin and took control of the Springfield armory. This proved to be the right move, as a Shephard spy intercepted a message from co-conspirator Luke Day, stating that Day was not ready for the planned attack of the armory. This prevented Shays from receiving the message, and thus, Shays and his rebels attacked the Springfield armory without the knowledge that they would lack support.

The fight was quick. Shephard's forces first fired warning shots over the rebels, and fired a short burst of grape shots thereafter. This killed about 20 Shaysites. Afterwards, the rebels fled in disorder. This effectively ended Shays's forces.

Meanwhile, General Lincoln after receiving notification of the Springfield incident, marched towards Luke Day's camp at Pelham. According to Lincoln, his forces surprised the rebel camp so thoroughly that they scattered "without time to call in their out parties or even their guards."

Constitution

Seeing how powerless the federal government was to stop the Shays rebellion, the leaders of the American Revolution have met to draft a better form of government. The rebellion has helped many small government supporters join the sides of the Federalists, supporters of large government.

Federalists have used Shays Rebellion as an example of the weakness of the Federal Government and of the necessity of more power. Oliver Ellsworth of Connecticut has claimed that the rebellion shows why it is necessary to have at least one congressional branch elected by more rational state legislatures.

Alexander Hamilton, John Jay, and James Madison, all Federalists, have begun writing The Federalist Papers, a series of documents that reason for stronger government and ratification of the Constitution. These documents are in circulation in large numbers, and have little real competitors from non-Federalists.

Yet at the same time, many still see the rebellion in something of a positive light. Thomas Jefferson has stated "A little rebellion now and then is a good thing. The tree of liberty must from time to time be refreshed with the blood of tyrants." This has led to debate over how many rights should be given to the people, and how powerful those rights should be.

Federalist James Madison has proposed the creation of 10 amendments, known as the Bill of Rights to the Constitution, which would guarantee the rights of each and every citizen. These amendments would stand the test of time and provide basic freedom to each citizen and would effectively be everlasting.

The constitutional convention has also created a new article (Article 8, Section I) which states that Congress has the power to coin money. This new money, however, cannot be over inflated in the way the Continental was, and has several restrictions on it specified in the document.

Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

Amendment II
A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

Amendment III

Amendment VII

Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.

Amendment IX

After two more civil wars and an constitutional revolution in 1850, the articles of majeste and legislation were thrown out and replaced entirely with the nation's first Constitution,which established a Congress along with the Parliament. the nation now has an Emperor, Prime Minister and President. There is now constant debate between allowing several amendments to the Constitution, such as an abolition or limitation of slavery.

Goals: To attempt to balance the needs for the two sides of the civil war, segregate military units according to political affiliation on the amendment issue ( pro amendment go up north, anti amendment head south) and to expand the armed forces.
