Moving/Voting equals possible minority empowerment

I was surfing the internet and found a someone speaking on an independent state for African Americans in the US. She used Jewish people has an example by saying that the Jewish people after 4 years suffering under the Germans managed to get a homeland. So why not African Americans who have 500 years of suffering.

I then did a check on the internet and found out there is a site which calls for not so much an Independent African American nation but a type of homeland. The homeland would consist of eight US southern states. They would remain has part of the US but those eight states would be majority African American. Has we all know in a democracy the majority rules. So that is what they seem to be proposing in this site. First, it would call for all US African Americans to move to these eight southern states. It seems they do not want Florida. Second, all would vote in there community leaders into State government positions. This would pave the way for the empowerment part while remaining part of the US.

Instead of waiting on the government, I suggest that we make a modern day mass reverse migration back to the 8 Southern States. There are 45,000,000 African Americans in the USA. We are a nation of people in a nation.

There are under 29,000,000 Europeans living in the 8 State Southern region. There are 12,500,000 African Americans in the same region. By concentrating our efforts and resources on a regional level, we actually have numeral advantage.

The Europeans in the region are much older and their numbers are declining rapidly.

To make a simple majority, we have to move additional 20,000,000 African Americans into the region. to have a Super Majority we have to move 24,000,000 additional African Americans into the region.

I think this plan while seeming simplistic could actually work if all African-Americans moved into one of these eight states. I do know that African Americans from NYC who were middle class were moving to Atlanta Ga. for work and cheaper standards of living.

But this plan could segragate the US by group. It would turn the US into a confederation of States. Seems like that movie about the districts. So what do you say.

I have actually considered this, but I think it is too late for the Black social movement to do it; the community is not as robust or united anymore as it was in the past, and the geographical territory too big. It could have worked to settle the freed slaves and partition Southern states in the past to give them a territory where they would be politically in-power, but, like I said, it is too late to undo what has been done, and it is unlikely Black Americans will ever have a state to call their own.

It never works. For someone to 'take over' a state, you'd need to select a rather small one (Population-wise) and not that many people want to move to Wyoming, especially when said state lacks jobs.

To the OP's suggestion- I've considered similar, not simply along racial lines but along political lines- to encourage blue voters in safe blue states such as California to move to swing states, or states that are close to becoming swing states (like Texas). Or even do it on the district level. If nothing else, it would serve as a counter to gerrymandering. Basically send a message to the Republicans- if you fuckers try to redistrict to ensure that the numbers are favourable to you, we'll just move to unskew your carefully drawn districts.

Of course, the other side might do the same, and not everyone can afford to or would be willing to undertake such a move for political reasons.

Well that has a massive number of problems too. Not least that you'd be tearing the United States apart, and inviting more separatist movements. The last time that sort of thing was tried on a large scale in America, it caused a civil war and over 600,000 dead.

On a more basic level- people have to be able to live with other groups of people for society to function. Even if you divided everything along racial lines (which would then result in people either being forcibly barred/expelled from, or treated as second class citizens in, other races' nations), you would still have other divisions. Religious, political, gender, etc. No matter how much you subdivide, you will still have to deal with people who aren't like you, as equals, for civilization to survive. So why start trying to subdivide to begin with?
