The People’s Republic of Wintercrest is a revolutionary socialist republic founded in November 2016 as a haven for those seeking camaraderie and peace within NS. Wintercrest is community focused and a culturally diverse society welcoming all NS players of tolerant backgrounds.

Wintercrest is very unique among regions in that it has both regional and local government. Citizens may freely choose to join one of Wintercrest’s provinces wherein they may elect members to a provincial council (separate from the main Revolutionary People’s Congress which sets regional law) to make local province law, RP legislation, create provincial offices to cater to province needs, run their own events, and create their own aesthetics like provincial flags, names, subforums, anthems, etc. A province may be as creative, unique and thorough as the people that reside in a province desire.

Wintercrest, in our strongly held ideals of social and political unity, founded the Workers’ Party of Wintercrest as the sole legal political entity as stated in our Constitution. Graciously granted by our eternal motherly leaders, the people elect a Chairman/woman of the Party to serve as Head of Government, whom they trust enough to form a regional government and administrate with the respect and will of the leaders in mind.

Wintercrest, while still new and quickly building, already has its sights on creating a prosperous region where all avenues of service and interests can be pursued. From serving in an independent military force, running your own news or opinion media outlet, working your way up in either provincial or regional politics, contributing to Wintercrest’s interests in intelligence or abroad in foreign affairs, as well as many other services, or just meeting new people and sharing many laughs along the way. Wintercrest is determined to be a cultural and social superpower where our unity and friendship is our biggest strength and draw.

This forum thread shall be used for regularly updating Gameplay of the happenings in Wintercrest, our progress towards building a harmonious region, and any relevant official government statements as chosen by our revolutionary mothers.

Congressional Elections Conclude, First Term Begins

Glory to the Revolution, glory to the Revolutionary Mothers! At 12am on the 7th of February 2017 voting booths across the Region closed and votes were tallied for Wintercrest’s 1st Revolutionary People’s Congress, the central legislative branch of Wintercrest. After an active and respectful campaign, citizens finally had their say and elected to the Congress four representatives in addition to the already selected representatives from Novum and Turetsk provinces.

Praise the Worker’s Party and her loyal representatives Jone Winter, Lewis Flood, ChaoticGamer, Anarchosia and their people’s mandate to serve Wintercrest and her Mothers. Joining them will be honoured representatives from the provinces of Novum and Turetsk, Malden Atoll and Ekat2468, respectively.

A celebratory concert was aired on Wintercrest Central Television after the announcement of the results.

Under the auspices of the Revolutionary Mothers Piper and Zenny Winter and the mandate received from the people, Congress will set to work to define regional law and cultivate the regional landscape and community for generations to come. Let us all aspire to serve and promote Wintercrest to greater heights under the guidance of our Revolutionary Mothers, and let us all be inspired by the service and devotion of our newly elected representatives!

Wintercrest-Equinox Friendship!



Wintercrest is quickly finding its rightful place among other world regions.

On April 21st the Revolutionary Mothers issued their third decree, passing the Wintercrest-Equinox Friendship Treaty, Wintercrest’s first formal treaty with another region. With this agreement comes the formal declaration that Equinox and Wintercrest are both friends and allies, with clauses specifying cultural and military cooperative endeavours to be pursued jointly. Wintercrest stands in full solidarity with her comrades in Equinox, and look forward to a long-lasting and mutually beneficial relationship together. In all levels of government there is enthusiasm for our newly found ally, with whispers of joint activities to be sought after soon.

Piper Winter was a long standing member of Equinox since 2009, under the name of Silmeria. We quote, “Equinox is a marvelous region filled with good people, like-minded socially, and I am pleased to observe that it has remained so in these trying times. Wintercrest shall always seek friendship with regions that share our values, and we, the Revolutionary Mothers, are more than delighted to see where the future takes us as two communities bonded with a treaty of friendship.”

Province Summit Announced



Wintercrest’s provinces shall shine with exponential splendor and glory with our limitless collective potential.

The great revolution of the people marches on under the love and guidance of the Revolutionary Mothers, Zenny & Piper Winter. Wintercrest, an open society of acceptance, respect, and harmony is the umbrella that protects and harbours the loyal, and beloved citizens. Citizens band together to join hands and in unity create and build Provinces where likeminded Wincrestians can strive to develop a society to uphold, a society to protect, a society built upon the fabric of Wintercrest, her first cloth cut and crafted by the RMs.

Piper Winter has called for the first official Province Summit for all citizens, new or old, past, present, and future, to come together and build the foundations for success. Together as one, the people of Wintercrest shall discuss the themes and types of provinces they wish to partake in, build the executive and administrative structures for each province, and work together to be not only be a loyal citizen of Wintercrest, but also to have a hand in building a home of their own, a province to call home within the greater society of Wintercrest. A home in Wintercrest, free of hate, and bond shattering division.

In Wintercrest, the community comes first, before greed and personal ambition at the expense of others. With friendship and trust the pivotal fabric of our region’s bonds, and under the guidance of the Revolutionary Mothers, we, the people of Wintercrest shall see our hard work come to fruition in an ever growing community where one can expect friendship, respect, and peace.

If you are not yet a Wincrestian, there is no time like the present to be part of the vanguard and foundations of a region.

Red Guards Keep Watch



Holding the red flags of our region and party, Red Guards stand vigilant against all threats.

All across Wintercrest, admiration and affection turn into spontaneous cheers and praise for the Red Guards, Wintercrest’s internal security force. Founded by the Great Leaders with the goals of internal peace and safety, the Red Guards monitor all public internal communications including Wintercrest’s RMB, Skype, Discord, and other various social media platforms. They are the enforcers of Wintercrest's strict respect and anti-hate policies, quickly disposing of reactionaries spreading content that is fascist, homophobic, transphobic, and all other hateful and backwards ideology. With their rifle in one hand and the Zennyist-Piperist manifesto in the other, our Red Guard agents are the most ideologically driven and dedicated among Wintercrest, only selected on an invite basis.

Among their other duties are vital party positions, including the nurturing and education of new arrivals, taking on volunteer roles in various ministries, and reporting all minor or major infractions to an internal database. The Red Guard of Wintercrest is truly the safeguard of our grand paradise, where the people are cared after, respected, and their selfless aspirations and wellbeing are above all else.

Special Statement on 1st Foreign Update

We thank you, on behalf of the Wintercrest Foreign Affairs Ministry, the Diplomatic Corps, and the Revolutionary Mothers, for taking an interest in Wintercrest and reading our first foreign update. Let this be the precursor to furthering our acquaintance with you, as we exchange friendship and news between our regions.

The following was an internal dispatch posted regarding the WRA's recent maiden operation in St Abbaddon on April 30th, 2017.



DISPATCH FROM THE WRA
Operations in St Abbaddon - A Glorious Success


In its first experience of military combat, Wintercrest has shown itself to already be among and cooperating alongside some of the most experienced and tactful forces on the world stage.



St Abbaddon, for all intents and purposes was a largely abandoned region turned somewhat warzone with a long history mired in mod influence, revival, and the slow march towards regional asphyxiation and a mere puppet storage site.

The operation was conducted with the utmost secrecy with a total force of 20 soldiers, including 2 from the WRA - Supreme Commanders Piper and Zenny. This would mark the first time the WRA has worked with the Augustin Alliance, a coalition of regions with the bulk of the force made up of its own soldiers (the JTF) and allies like the WRA. In total, a coalition of 9 military forces made the initial attack which ended in a Glorious Success. Soldiers from a NationStates defender coalition arrived to take the fight to us but were beaten by our forces resulting in the allied capture of St Abbaddon.

The Wintercrest Revolutionary Army aims to be a trained and prepared bulwark to all foreign aggression and strongly united in its fearless defence of the Supreme Leadership and revolutionary homeland.

The next round began in earnest some 12 hours later in the next update, with the Defenders pouring in with everything they had. Eventually they managed to take control of the region which prompted a long 12 hour period of Raider and Defender alike pouring in to join what was a tight and pitched battle across St Abbaddon.

Alas, the day ended with the defenders winning through sheer numbers (approximately 88 endorsements on the defender side, vs approx 60 on the raiding side).

It was a glorious day for the WRA and her allies, we praise our allies for their bravery and dedication to the fight!

Glory to the WRA for its first major operation being both a successful hit, and a major battle involving major players across NationStates. Wincrestians! Praise our soldiers! Support the WRA! For those able - fight for your comrades in the WRA today! Seek the WRA recruitment office at Fort High Castle for further details as we spread the revolution across the globe!
