STAR WARS
The Day After

Episode IV, A NEW HOPE It is a period of civil war. Rebel spaceships, striking from a hidden base, have won their first victory against the evil Galactic Empire. During the battle, Rebel spies managed to steal secret plans to the Empire’s ultimate weapon, the DEATH STAR, an armored space station with enough power to destroy an entire planet. Pursued by the Empire’s sinister agents, Princess Leia races home aboard her starship, custodian of the stolen plans that can save her people and restore freedom to the galaxy….

THE DAY AFTER

With the Rebel Alliance's first major victory against the Galactic Empire ruled by the power hungry Emperor Palpatine yesterday, and the destruction of Alderaan several days ago, the Alliance has been growing in strength and influence, with worlds across the Mid Rim and Outer Rim declaring open support for the Rebellion. The admirals of the Imperial Navy have been tasked with destroying the Rebel insurrection before it escalates to a civil war unseen in Galactic History. Bounty Hunters and Pirates have taken advantage of the chaos, carving out their own small areas of space at the edge of explored space. The largest organizations such as the Black Sun have conquered entire planets, even as the Rebels and Empire take center stage.

WELCOME TO.... STAR WARS: THE DAY AFTER!

--------------------------------------------------------------[OOC STUFF]-------------------------------------------------------------------------

As you can probably tell, this will be a faction based RP. You can however play as a character running a fleet. Fleets are controlled by Pirate, Imperial, or Rebellion players. Fleets start at 12 vessels of your choosing, and you will need to keep track of them. You can divide fleets, but you cannot multiply them. Construction of new ships requires a shipyard, and shipyards can be found around most developed worlds. The major shipyards of the Empire are located at Kuat, while the Rebellion has equivalent shipyards at Mon Cal. The events of the civil war will change, such as the Rebels loosing the battle of Endor, based on player decisions. Imperial fleets start at Kuat, and rebels at Mon Cal. Please be realistic, and don't imminently go to enemy capitol worlds, follow the Hyperspace lanes in the map. If there is no lane going to a world, just go there from the closest planet with a lane attached. May the force be with you.

Rules:

-I am your God Emperor, OP. Co-Ops are my underlings.

-Super Star Destroyers can only be made with my permission or a Co-OPs.

-Star Destroyers are not Invincible

-In order to construct something, you must say you are constructing it in a post. Recruitment of troops also applies to this, just give some backround.

-Planetary bombardment is allowed if it is done realistically, no annihilating a city to kill one Jedi or Sith.

-No Vong or extra galactic invaders.

-Custom Factions allowed, just send me, glorious OP, some backround story.

-5 TIE fighters=1 X wing

-I will say when the Death Star II is being built

-Separatist and Republic Remnants are allowed.

-Major Sith lords and Jedi Masters not allowed for RP use, but force users are allowed

If you don't know much about Star Wars, I suggest you read some relevant articles on Wookiepedia.

Blaelm was sitting above Kuat when he received the news The Death Star destroyed, Tarkin dead, and Vader Missing. What was worse the news of rebellion rising in the Mid and (especially) Outer Rim, and the Moffs were running around more worried about jockeying for position as the Emperor's new number one.
Looking over the reports one last time Blaelm gave the order to his fleet get they were to leave in two hours

The Plan to get to the Outer rim was simple take the fleet to Fedalle and then take the Hyperspace lane to the planet of Eriadu in the Outer Rim. From there he was going to contact Imperial garrisons in the area and get a briefing on the situation in the area. He took another sip of his drink, trying to calm down but he soon found himself thinking of Tarkin, The Death Star, and Alderaan did the Emperor really order the whole planet killed. All of the Cultural, Credits, and People gone in the Blink of an eye. Shaking his head Blaelm forced himself to stop thinking about it and went back to looking over has Fleet Reports.

Anthem of the Confederacy of Independent Systems

On Hyperspace Route to Geonosis...

After three years of brutal war, the proud and defiant Confederacy had lost. Backstabbed, betrayed, dispensed like the tool Palpatine used them as. But now, they returned, hungry for vengeance. For years they had hid, rebuilding, and preparing to unleash total destruction on the Galactic Empire that had replaced their dreaded enemy the Republic now spread across the galaxy, with so many star systems under their control, some slipped by their watch. They would regret that. In the shadows, the Confederacy has rebuilt, now it prepared to unleash hell upon the Empire....

General Kalani sat in the command chair of the leading cruiser. Providence-class, it was the very embodiment of Confederate might. Followed by other destroyers, they headed for Geonosis, where the start of the CIS would be reclaimed, and its great droid factories turned on once more, to churn the methods of the Empire's destruction. Pilot droids tinkered with the controls as Kalani had pondered how far he had come. From leading a small counter-insurgency on Onderon, he now led this great Confederacy. By his odds he would led it to victory. His Aqualish aide, a weapons engineer, signaled to him that they would soon be exiting hyperspace. He stood, and once he had turned his head to look up, the dusty, beige planet came into view. If Kalani could smile, he would be.
"Prepare the landing party as well as my shuttle." ordered the droid general. The nearest commander B1 nodded and immediately left the room. The Empire would rue the day they forgot and disregarded the Confederacy, and the Confederacy would remember it for all eternity. This is was the beginning, the beginning of the fall of the Galactic Empire.

Geonosis, Surface

Kalani exited his shuttle and got on a STAP, two commander B1s got on the two hovering next to his. They set off across the dusty plain. The Empire had sterilized the planet, and left it to rot. Festering remains of Geonosian bodies lay on the ground, some already just a pile of old bones. The orbital bombardment and sterilization had been catastrophic, and nothing short of genocide. This would be perfect propaganda. Kalani stopped, seeing what he thought to be an entrance to an underground droid assembly plant. Little did he know, one of his inevitable future enemies, Darth Vader, had been captured in this foundry over 20 years before, as a young Jedi. Kalani dismounted along with his commanders and entered. If he could gasp, he would. Seeing level upon level of assembly lines was shocking. But of course battle droids, were no longer smothered across every inch of the place. That would change. Kalani searched the place, before finding a room for battle droid designs. He was surprised to see that the place was still functional, and that it could still produce some battle droids. He inputed the designs for B1 and B2 battle droids. He placed in new programming, similar to the old one is ideology, goals, and motivation, but for more independent thinking, and leadership abilities. He pressed a flashing red button, and one motion of machines, the dust feel from the assembly lines. The arms of the droid making machines swung around, and the assembly lines began to move. Droids gradually beginning to appear. The CIS was returning, the impossible had been achieved.
Kalani continued to search the planet, he found no foundry as large as the one he discovered before, but before long. He had discovered sites of historical significance, the arena in which two Jedi and a Senator had been put to death, the command in which the Great Count Dooku and Poggle the Lesser commanded the Droid Army against the clones, and the site where the the droid army had made there stand against the Republic in the Second Battle of Geonosis. The light of the sun began to wane, and Kalani began to return to his shuttle. He stopped outside the large factory. Assembled on the plain were a few thousand battle droids, Kalani saluted, and simultaneously, they all saluted back. The gave a roar of approval as he waved, and Kalani ceased driving, but remained to hover.
"Warriors of the Confederacy! You will be the method of the Empire's collapse! The last thing their Stormtroopers will see will be the light of your lasers, and the last thing they hear will be the clanking of your feet! Soon we will march upon them! For now we will rest in our foundries and bunkers. But soon, very soon, they feel our rage!" The droids saluted and in lockstep the marched back into the foundry to recharge, where the foundry still produced battle droids. Some Destroyer Droids now. Kalani returned to his cruiser above the planet via his shuttle, as he entered the command bridge, the pilots already knew, and gave him a salute and a round of applause. The CIS had returned.

Mon Cal

Caleb gazed out of the bridge of his command ship at the blue world of Mon Cal below, and at the glistening Shipyard ring around the planet. One of his CR90 corvettes drifted by, and drew him to the matters at hand. His was his first mission as Admiral, and he intended to start with a bang. He had been instructed to support rebel movements in the Outer and Mid Rims. He had charted a course to Columex, going to support the rebels on the surface of the planet, and seize the important trade planet for the Rebel Alliance. He ceased his thinking, and began preparations. Caleb opened up a comma channel with the rest of his fleet.

"Hello, this is your Admiral speaking. We are sent on a mission to liberate the world of Columex from Imperial rule, and destroy the garrison on it. Rebel forces on the planet are being besieged, and they need our support. Prepare for the jump to light speed."

As he said that, the ships seemed to expand into space, disappearing in a flash of light into Hyperspace.

About an hour into the journey, he received a message from Alliance command. Scanners had picked up several ships heading to Geonosis. They were too big to be pirates, and they didn't match known Empire signatures. As Caleb's fleet was the only available fleet, as most others were too far away or on missions, he split a Pelts class from the fleet. The Frigate, destined for Geonosis, diverged from the main fleet about 10 minutes later. Caleb ordered the fighters on board his large Mon Calamari Crusiers, and the A Wings attached to the corvettes, to launch while in hyperspace and move forward from the main fleet to attack as soon as they left hyperspace.

Over Columex - One Hour later

An Alliance Quasar class carrier squared off against 2 Imperial TIE fighter transports, each launching fighters and attempting to fire upon the others fighters. The Quasar, with its slightly outnumbered but superior T-65 X Wings about to begin the battle with the TIE fighters, maneuvered away. It was at this time that Caleb's force dropped out of hyperspace, the X Wings at the front of his fleet immidiently opening their S-Foils and starting to fire. The Tie Figjters, with their sides to the new ships, attempted to outmaneuver the X wings, going vertical. The X wings, with their superior speed and maneuverability followed. The battle was intense, with several X wings being lost because of a group of TIE interceptors launched from the planet's surface. Eventually the anti fighter defenses, with the help of the X Wings and A wings, destroyed most of the TIEs, several escaping to Columex's surface. The fleet then turned into attention to the fleeing Imperial Transports, easily destroying 2 and disabling the third while recalling the fighters. A shuttle was sent over to the disabled ship to capture it, but not before it sent a distress signal in the direction of Eriadu. The tide of the battle on the surface was turning in the Rebel's favor, new troops and supplies from the orbiting Rebel ships demoralizing the enemy while motivating the Alliance troops to go on.

OOC: have OOC permission from Orostan to RP some of this

Anthem of the Confederacy of Independent Systems

Above Geonosis, Onboard the Providence-Class Restoration

General Kalani stood on the front of the command bridge, watching as his fleet's transports took some of the new droids to be on the ships, while leaving some behind to monitor the production of new droids and protect the planet. Kalani observed with satisfaction, but he also pondered something else. Before long, the Empire or the other rebels fighting them would know. Kalani was not yet ready to show himself. He turned to the Blue-painted pilot droids and said "Contact Admiral Hendricks, tell him to construct a dock in this area and guard this system. This will be the backbone of Separatist military production." The droids nodded and pressed a few buttons, sending off the message to Hendrick's fleet. Kalani watched as the last transport connected with his ship. He was about to go to recharge himself when one his pilot droids spoke.
"General, we're getting a frigate-sized ship coming out of hyperspace. Does not match Imperial or Republic traces."
"Is it Hendricks already?" asked Kalani.
"Does not match Confederate traces either." replied the pilot droid. Kalani was furious, he would have to reveal himself now, flee, or destroy the ship.
"All ships prepare to make the jump to light speed!" thundered Kalani. The hyperdrives of each ship hummed to life. But right as Kalani was about to give the order to jump. The Alliance frigate emerged. Kalani pounded his fist upon his command chair. "Fire a warning shot across their bow! Make them flee!" The pilot droids saluted and began pounded the touchscreens. The mighty turbo lasers of the cruisers swung up, and came to life. But only the forward cannon of the Restoration fired one mighty shot across the other ships bow. The ship wasted no time in fleeing to rejoin it's comrades above Columex. Kalani made a noise resembling a sigh, before ordering his pilots to enter in coordinates to head to the lava planet of Mustafar, among other worlds to secure old Separatist held worlds.

Caleb's Fleet

Caleb's fleet began to depart the system with it's new Quasar class carrier and captured Imperial Transport. A new alliance fleet replaced them over Columex as they jumped into hyperspace. They would pick up new supplies and ships at Lantilles, 3 Nebulon B Frigates joining Caleb's fleet. The fleet then continued on to Kashyyyk, preparing to liberate the orbit of the planet and secure the area for further Rebel attacks into Imperial space. While in Hyperspace to Columex, the Rebel fleet was wrenched out of hyperspace by an Indictor Class ship, with 2 Victory class star destroyers nearby. The Rebels, unprepared, lost a Nebulon B before they managed to get into formation. They immidiently began launching fighters, striking at TIE Fighters and TIE Bombers. The fighters took less losses than last time as a result of excersises conducted over Columex. Flights of Y Wing bombers pounded the Hulls of the Victory Classes, with the Indictor being struck with a hail of blaster fire from Caleb's major ships, swiftly disabiling it. The Victories meanwhile, each with just 24 TIEs, were quickly destroyed with Capitol ship support. Shuttles were sent over to the damaged Indictor, with troops taking as much Imperial equipment and supplies, including a Lambda Class shuttle, before the Ship blew itself up. The Rebels continued to Kashyyk, this time taking on an Imperial II Class star destroyer, coming out of hyperspace behind it and using its weaponry blind spot to their advantage, the Mon Cal built Rebel ships out maneuvering it and firing into its hanger bay before it could launch more than a third of its fighter complement. By the end of it there was wreckage of a Star Destroyer, and minor damage to a rebel MC80 that was repaired in a small orbital dock above Kashyyyk. His Corvette deployed to Geonosis had reported that a Munificent Class with CIS markings had fired warning shots at them, and that they had swiftly retreated. CIS ships over Geonosis meant that some droids must've survived the war, and there were probably still active factories. But knowing that the new CIS Remenant could not have many ships, they had probably fled the planet. Besides, battle droids would make a ground invasion of Geonosis extremely difficult. Caleb ordered the fleet to the Alliance held Sluis Van shipyards to prepare for an attack on the Strategicly important world of Eriadu, and cut off the Empire from a large part of the Outer Rim.

Bakura, Space

Admiral Hendricks was above the world of Bakura when he received his message from Admiral Kalani. He thought to himself that this could be the turning point in the war for the Sepratist movement. He quickly then commanded his pilot droids to prepare for the jump to hyperspace. As they race off the Geonosis.

Geonosis, Space

After exiting hyperspace at tatooine and making the quick travel over to Geonosis. He saw his friends Fleet and before getting into a defensive position around the planet.

He quickly wished Admiral Kalani fair well on his travels.

After he left he ordered droids on Frigates 5&6 to begin construction of a small Shipyard as it would be nessasary for the upcoming events..........

"I've waited so long for this moment, to finally see my army come back from the ashes once more......", he quietly thought to himself.

Geonosis, Planet

After the Frigates got started with their building Admiral Hendricks got in his shuttle to visit the Dessert Planet and its factories as he had never seen it before. Just heard the stories that of the 2 battles in the clone wars and the total bombardment by the empire.

When he got their he was not surprised by what he saw, he knew how the empire worked. Relentless and merciless.

When he got to the major droid factory still running he was overjoyed as he knew it was true, his movement after almost 20 years the Sepratist were finally ready to make a come back.

Hyperspace Lane to Eriadu
Blaelm was sitting standing on the bridge, so far the trip had not run into any delays at this pace they'd reach Eriadu within the hour. He read the reports, the Outer, and Mid Rims were breaking down. The predators smelled blood in the water, the Empire had expanded too fast, wasted too much on super weapons. He sat back down in his chair on the bridge and began to think

Space above Eriadu
Eriadu was still stable somewhat, whatever unrest their was ended when an Imperial Fleet appeared overhead. It remained the people that whatever the Empire lost it could still enforce law and order. Blaelm had taken over the Planet's communications systems and issued messages to all Imperial outposts and fleets to compile reports on any rebel or pirate activity. One thing he heard but dismissed out of hand was reports of CIS ships, just pirates who found outdated ships in some abandoned hold-out if they really existed at all.

Eriadu

The regular activity in orbit, including the newly arrived Imperial Ships, was disrupted by Squadrons of X-Wings, Y-Wings, and A-Wings dropping out of hyperspace. Star Fighters were followed by Caleb's ships, arranged in a neat firing line. His Carrier began launching fighters, and his ships began to shift out of the firing arc of the nearby Imperial Star Destroyer, ducking below the middle of it and under the relatively lightly armed underside of the ISD. Star fighters swooped in past the Imperial anti-fighter ships, Y Wings striking at the hanger and destroying as many TIEs as possible before they could launch. X Wings focused on already launched fighters while A wings battled TIE fighters launching from smaller Imperial ships. Rebel capital ships targeted the backside of the Star Destroyer, with one MC80 striking at Imperial frigates. Fighters from the Nebulon Bs reached the battle, and Y wings swept in from behind, attacking shield generators on the bridge. More Y Wings and other star fighter ran the gauntlet of Imperial Frigates, Rebel CR90 corvettes providing anti fighter support and deploying their several A Wings. The Superior firing arcs of the Mon Cal ships were being taken full advantage of, with one MC80 staying below the Star Destroyer and shooting directly into the hanger, while X wings took out the few weapons mounts on the underside of the Star Destroyer. The Quasar class, besieged by TIE fighters, began to maneuver away to serve as a retreat destination for damaged fighters. The Alliance fighters deployed from the Quasar did an admiral job of protecting it before clearing the TIEs attacking it and setting course to the main battle. Caleb's command ship, the MC90, was pointed vertical, the heavy turbo lasers firing at the engines and shielding systems of the Star Destroyer with 2 MC80s and 2 MC80As

Space above Eriadu
The Admiral had didn't have time to react to the new arrivals attack before the first wave was over. "Get the Cruisers to form a Fighter Screen around the us top and bottom. Get the frigates and one of the Tartans to escort the Quasar out of the range of the enemy ships, so it can launch fighters safely. "And move us down the we can't hit the enemy if our weapons can't aim that low, And get those Nerf Herds i put in charge of communications on the planet to send out a distress signal to any other Imperial fleets in the area". Blaelm said finally taking the time to stop and catch his breath, He looked over the damage reports, the main thing to worry about was the Hanger his fighters in the Destroyer were grounded till the enemy fighters and bombers could be dealt with.

Over Eriadu

The Mon Cal Cruisers behind the Star Destroyer kept with it, maneuvering all they could to keep out of the Star Destroyer's firing arc. The Mon Cal ships not attacking the Star Destroyer began to fire on smaller Inperial ships, preventing them from interfering with the Rebel bombers and fighters swarming the Imperial ships. A group of A wings, having dealt with much of the TIE fighters began to close on the Imperial Carrier, striking at TIEs as they left their hangers. The A wings began to fire at the Imperial ship, aiming to disable it. TIEs, being vastly inferior and few in number to the large number of X Wings attacking the Inperial ships, were overwhelmed. Y Wings closed in on the Inperial ships, navigating the smashed arrays of anti fighter weaponry, firing Proton torpedoes and dropping bombs despite some Y wings being shot to bits as their pilots and Astromech droids ejected. Caleb's MC90 operated a signal jammer, jamming the Imperial distress signal. The MC80s and MC90 attacking the ISD began to wear down the Sheilds of the Star Destroyer, focusing fire on one spot of the Sheilds. Meanwhile at the Quasar the A Wings had called in an MC80A to assist in destroying the escaping Imperials. The Patrol craft and Frigate protecting the Quasar could not fight and beat an MC80A. Meanwhile on the surface, the battle was watched intently, and rebels on the surface thought it the time to act, storming Imperial armories and using their own weapons against the Empire.

Tera Cyrus
Command deck of the "Jade Fire"
Vicinity of Eriadu

The reports of Imperial distress calls came as a bit of a surprise to her as she lounged in her chair. "Origin?" "Eriadu system ma'am, our access to their system hasn't been terminated yet, message says a Rebel strike force jumped in system and is attacking, local forces already recording losses." Hmm..maybe our newfound employers arn't as inept as I thought. She thought to her self.

"Lay in a course for Eriadu, ready weapons and have our fighters ready to launch when we exit, its about time we announce our change in alliances." Her deck officer nodded and went to work. Getting up from the chair she strode back to her quarters. Checking twice to make sure the door was locked and their weren't any bugs in the room she retrieved the small wooden case from under her bed. It was black, its original brown coloration lost to the years and sands on Koriban.

Despite its extremely advanced age, it had stayed sealed and kept its contents safe from the elements. She recalled the words from the holocron.

A ghostly image of a young man in grey clothes had flashed alive above the ancient recording devise.
"To those who watch this, I congratulate you on finding it, as only a member of my blood could do so. I am Ziam Cyrus, the legends your other family has no doubt told you about through hundreds of different stories and tales over the years. First, I am and was vary much real. I fought in the war under the Jedi Master Jula Acurren and became one of her most trusted friends...and even more. As for you, you are watching this because you have had a set of dreams, dreams that scare yet mesmerize you. This is my doing, for you see those of my blood are particularly powerful with the force and as a result we produce powerful users, both Jedi and Sith.

I have walked both those paths and have found a third as a result. I warn you now, if you choose to not embrace your potential and stop watching, I will not judge you, some just aren't cut out for power, but you may be the last of the line if you do so." He paused, as if to add effect. "To those who do, well, your in for an experience unlike any other." With a smile the image flickered and disappeared.

She reached in to the box and took out the Data cards. They were old, far outdated by today's standards, but still in working order. Her slicer had managed to rig up a patch for her personal terminal for it to read them properly and she planned on doing so after this skirmish. Putting both down she held up the long, cool shaft of curved silver metal. Finding the switch she flicked it on and the light violet blade hissed to life.

A lightsaber, a real lightsaber! She began to think of the money she could have made off of selling the thing but stopped her self. "This is a family heirloom, one that has seen battle at the hands of my family...it wouldn't be right."

That didn't stop her from swinging the blade around a few times and even turning it off just to see how it hung on her belt. It looked nice, even felt light on her hip, but it would draw to much attention. Sighing she set it back down in to the box and stowed it under her bunk. A beeping noise drew her to her comlink on her wrist. "Ma'am, we are about to leave hyper space." She smiled. "Good, will be here shortly."

Today was going to be fun.

Kuat, spinward edge of the Core Region

Blaelm's fleet had departed recently, leaving the Crimson Fleet as the sole Imperial naval presence at the shipyards. Recognising the pivotal role Kuat would play in the growing civil war, Admiral Cambrius Winterborn ordered the fleet into defensive formation. Within hours, his personal Lambda-class shuttle was landing at the headquarters of the Kuat Drive Yards corporation.

After three days of negotiation and signing contracts, the shipyards stepped up production on the three Imperial I-class star destroyers currently underway in the drydocks. Those would take time to construct. In the meantime, Cambrius ordered one of his star destroyers, Luminous Rage, to Corellia. Escorting would be two corvettes. The mission Cambrius gave to Captain Gage Serran was simple: acquire more corvettes and Gozanti-class cruisers and return to Kuat post-haste.

Cambrius stood at the wide porthole on the bridge of his flagship, watching the task force leap to hyperspace. He considered the successes of the Rebellion - capital R, this time - and the losses of the Death Star and of Grand Moff Tarkin. This was a serious insurgency, one that could spread and possibly even rival the old Clone Wars. Emperor forbid, he thought.

For now, it was time to shore up the defences and ensure Imperial assets remained secure.

Eriadu

Both fleets were somewhat surprised when a group of Venators exited Hyper Space. The Rebels didn't call for reinforcements, but the ships had an Alliance IFF, identifying them as mercenary ships. Caleb decided that these were probably mercenaries that were hired by command. After all, Mercs were powerful when employed in large numbers. Caleb hailed the lead ship, registering on scanners as the Jade Fire.

"Hello. This is Admiral Caleb Webb, onboard the MC90 hailing you. You are the Mercs we're looking for, right?"

Outside the view of his bridge behind him the backside of a Star Destroyer could be seen, with blaster bolts hitting it and minor explosions going off on the surface. A flight of X wings flew by, perusing several TIE Interceptors. Uneseen in the image was the continuing space battle below the ISD and the battle near the Imperial Quasar. A Pelta class, small enough to fit in the hanger of the Star Destroyer, was attempting to disembark boarders inside the ship. Meanwhile on the surface of the planet, the Tarkin family compound was under seige. Angry populace armed with stolen blaster rifles from Imperial armories began to overwhelm the poorly trained storm troopers at the gates.

Eriadu
Blaelm Looked at the Fleet that had just exited out of hyperspace they didn't respond to any hails, he looked at the system reports of his fleets and the reports coming from the planet, he looked up and began to speak
"All ships prepare for a jump to hyperspace I'm sending the coordinates now."
The plan was to jump to Sullust then to Thyferra in the Inner Rim to gather support from the other admirals, and report to High Command the presences of a Rebel Fleets in the Outer Rim.

Eriadu

The powering up of the Impeial hyperdrives alarmed the Rebels. They had taken out some lighter Imperial ships, but the Star Destroyer was the biggest prize. Caleb ordered the ships hitting the engines and backside of the star destroyer to focus all firepower on the back of the bridge, severing control cables and damaging subsystem controls. Other Imperial ships tried to jump, but as many as possible were stopped. Weapons fire intensified as bombers focused on the same spots that the large Rebel ships were targeting. Concussion Mossiles, Proton Torpedoes, and just plain old Blasters slammed into the hull of the Star Destroyer. Caleb sent a message to the ship as boarders disembarked from the Pelta class in the hanger.

"This is the Rebel Alliance Admiral Caleb Webb. You are attempting to retreat, and I hope not to let you. As the Rebellion is based on compassion, I am giving you a chance to surrender, and save the lives of both our men. Make the right choice."

Turbo laser fire kept on striking other Imperial ships, and on the planet the largest Imperial based and armories were under seige, with the populace in full revolt. The Tarkin Family compound was being looted despite efforts by storm troopers on the site, with weapons and expensive furniture even being taken by the people. A Rebel flag was raised over the largest city on the planet, as the Imperial one fell.

Eriadu
Blaelm had heard the offer broadcasted across the frequency, looking at his reports he knew many of the cruisers would not make, and the Star Destroyer would be destroyed before its engine could start the jump. He knew what standard doctrine was in this situation, either scuttle the fleet or go out in a glorious last stand taking as many enemies of the empire down as he could. Funny thing about last stands their only really glorious to the people who don't have to fight them.

Blaelm looked at the men and women on the bridge looking at them, how many of them were fathers, mothers, brothers, or sisters to someone out there in the galaxy. How many more were on his ship, or in the cruisers trying to jump out of the system. No he couldn't let them all die.

"This is Admiral Blaelm speaking I am giving orders to all imperial ships to stand down, power down your engines and weapons. I would advise all imperial forces on the planet to do the same, the battle is over no one else needs to die here today." he said as he tuned to the frequency of this Admiral Clebb

"Can I assume my men will be treated humanely Admiral?"

Over Eriadu

Cheering erupted on the bridges of the rebel ships, as turbolaser fire stopped and small craft broke off their attack. Boarding shuttles began to launch to the ships, and began to board the star destroyer. Caleb sent his response.

"Thank you for making the right decision. Your men will be kept onboard a station in orbit of Mon Cal or Another world. They will be provided all the basic necessities for life, as well as access to the Holonet. The captains of your ships and their command staff, will be taken to Mon Cal for trials. You will be coming onboard my ship. I want to talk to you."

X wings flew through the atmosphere of the planet, dropping leaflets notifying the populace of the victory. The Rebels has won the day, and the population was jubilant, and Impeeial holdouts began to surrender. A notification of the victory was sent to Silus Van, and several new ships were sent to help secure Eriadu. Three more Nebulon Bs, two CR90s, two MC80s and 40s, and last but certainly not least one more MC90 and replacement Fighters. Thanks to smart planning, only one Nebulon B and one CR90 corvette were damaged, with only 8 fighters total being lost thanks to the prevention of the main force of TIEs leaving the ISD's bay. The Quasar and its heavily damaged escorts were being boarded, and the Rebel pilots had smiles on their faces.

Corellia, Core Region

The star destroyer Luminous Rage sprang out of hyperspace, flanked by the two CR90 corvettes Starhawk and Firestorm. Captain Serran immediately opened a comms channel to the Corellian Engineering Corporation and arranged a meeting. Corellia was a loyal world of the Empire, and the famed CEC would agree to ramp up their production schedules for the customary Imperial contract. Captain Serran was authorised to invoke the war time clause that permitted an increased pay schedule to the CEC in exchange for accelerated and expanded production. The arrangement was win-win and the meeting did not take long.

In stock, the CEC had four Gozanti-class Cruisers and six CR90 corvettes. An excellent first installment that would be ready to set course for Kuat within the week. The Imperial Academy was set to graduate a class in a month, and all of them would be sent along to crew the vessels made in their home system.

The next step was a contract with Seinar Fleet Systems for TIE fighters. The Imperial fleet at Lothal in the Outer Rim should be able to ensure the fighters reached Kuat safely.

Eriadu
Blaelm was looking at his uniform in the mirror, This was how his military career would end, Not with a wealthy retirement, Being appointed a Moff, or Grand Admiral, but in disgraces. He couldn't go back to the Empire after this, he knew what they did to those who surrendered to traitors. Now he would be be taken to a court and be tried, but first the leader of the enemy had wanted to speak to him.

The Rebels had boarded the ship and disarmed those on the ship and started to take his staff onboard to the enemy fleet. They walked through the door and ordered him to come with them. He did walking though the ship, the men of his on the ship saluted him as he walked by, he did the same to them. Soon their were in the hanger and boarding the shuttle that would take him to the Rebel Flagship.

As the Shuttle began to take off and leave the Star Destroyer he begain to think about what the future held, and about what type of man this Clebb was.

Pride of Corellia - MC90 Cruiser

Caleb sat at a small coffee table in his cabin. A glass of Corellian beer sat on the table, with 2 cups, the one on his table full of drink. The room was furnished in a simple style, the walls decorated with simplified schematics of his MC90, and a picture of Caleb's parents, and the young him outside a medium sized dwelling in Rural Corellia. Another picture was on the wall, a drawing of Caleb leaning on an A wing, with the name "Biggs" signed in one corner. At the farthest corner of the room there was a medium sizes bed, with simple pillows and sheets. The disgraced Imperial admiral was ushered through the door by two rebel troopers, the door closing behind him.

"Take a seat"

Blaelm sat down.

"Hi. I'm Caleb Webb. As you know, we recently attempted to kill eachother. I am sorry for all the loss of life that my crewmen and I caused. Would you like a drink?"

Pride of Corellia
Blaelm sat down and looked and the Caleb Webb, to the cup in front of him, to the drinks, then back to Webb. Was he really being serious here, he heard propaganda about what rebels did to captured Imperials, especially to the higher ranking ones. Not like any of that mattered now.

"Yes I think I would like a drink very much, and about my men they were soldiers they knew the risks when they volunteered to serve in the fleets" Blaelm said.
My name is Blaelm Cappeac former commander of the Imperial Star Destroyer Coruscant's Fury, and if I may ask what exactly is this conversation all about, if its information you want, I probably don't know anything you don't know already." Blaelm said looking at Webb.

Pride of Corellia

"I'm not looking for information, Blaelm. I wanted to ask you some questions about why you fought for the empire. We all know what they do to planets like Lothal, Tatooine, and many other Outer Rim worlds. Why would you fight for a... Thing like that, Blaelm."

Caleb said as he poured a drink for Blaelm, then took a sip of his own.

At the edge of the planet's gravity well, rebel reinforcements arrived, bolstering Caleb's fleet. In the surface a new Planetary administration was being set up, and elections were set to take place. At the Tarkin residence, rebel troopers were securing the area, and going through data banks. In the area around the system of Eriadu, popular revolts were occurring. Planetary despots were being toppled, and planetary defense forces couldn't take the sudden influx of Alliance ships into the area. Entire sectors in Open revolt. A recruitment increase had also been reported, with new ships in construction to use it. In orbit of Eriadu however, the broken Star Destroyer, damaged by Rebel forces, was being staffed with new, Alliance, personnel, and repaired in an orbital repair yard. Much of the damage had been superficial except for the engines, which would require significant work. Former Imperial ships were also being added to the fleet in orbit.

Tera Cyrus
Command deck of the Jade Fury
Eriadu

"Hello. This is Admiral Caleb Webb, onboard the MC90 hailing you. You are the Mercs we're looking for, right?"

She answered him. "Aye, Captian Tera Cyrus, commander of the Jade Fury and CEO of Cyrus Security Company, we picked up Imp distress calls and put two and two together."

As this was said, the Z-95s and ARC-170s were launching, armed with anti ship weapons and ready to add their own fuel to the fire. The three Venator class cruisers had already spun up their guns and had acquired a firing solution on the ISD and her escorts before firing.

Que Force magic...

As the battle waned she gave the order for the Troops to depart for the surface. Unlike the Rebels on the planet already, her troops were there to seize ships worth it in the space ports. Her contacts had told her of a pair of CR90s that had been repossessed and retrofitted as light escorts for the local governor that were left un-crewed as of late. Securing them would be easy, crewing them would take a few weeks to recruit those needed.

The LAAT transports, like most of CSC's equipment were of older Clone Wars era make that had been heavily retrofitted and refurbished over the years. The engines and flight systems were overhauled to meet modern standards and the two side mounted beam turrets were stripped off and replaced with a set of remote controlled heavy blaster cannons instead to cover troops as they landed. The troopers them selves were clad in Katarn class armor of the Mk. V designation bought from the Empire in bulk to equip her troops. Armed with A280 rifles, DLT-19 heavy blaster rifles and DL-18s the troops resembled a uniformed military unit, which is what CSC was.

She sent a message back to the Admiral. "Cyrus here, i'm informing you that i'm sending a contingent of men to secure some ex-imperial assets for the sake of company interest." tapping the console she couldn't help but think of what could happen. The troops were vets and well trained, many of them ex storm-troopers looking to earn a little more cash while not having to adhere to the empire's rules. Part of on the job training was a 7 week training coarse for her new employees and it was harsh to say the least, but it made for good and competent soldiers who could think on their feet.

While they would resemble storm troopers at range, the armor was painted a darker slate grey with the company logo painted on the right shoulder. It was this resemblance that worried her.
So apparently Cobalt has named me a Cyber terrorist, I honestly don't know to be Honored or offended.

Pride of Corellia
"Why do I fight Admiral, to answer that I'll need to talk about before the Empire, I fought in the Clone wars and do you know what I saw. Worlds that were supposed to be protected by the Republic, under the control of people like the Hutts, or the black Suns, I saw Planets that were untouched by war but lived in such poverty that it sickened me. The Republic left those worlds to die, and they left them long before the Separatists started the war. I know the Empire is far from perfect, you just have to look at Alderaan, or what's left of it to see that. But don't sit there and try to tell me the Republic was better, If you weren't from one of the Core Worlds or the Inner Rim the Republic didn't care if your planet was ruled by a madman, or if the Hutts were killing your people. I fight for the Empire because I believe despite its flaws it is the best hope this Galaxy has of finding peace and order, Mr.Webb.
Blaelm finished his rant, and waited for a response from Webb.
