They wish to reach this Brave new world, yet they choose to forget their pasts. This is not the case for the Empire.

Parcia. Perhaps the last of the true Dynasties to claim land in this world. Having stood the test of time for so long the reining Emperor grows Ill with age and as with the old traditions, his granddaughter and only heir prepares to take the mantel from her grandfather and carry one the pen and sword of the Empire.

But alas, with time comes change, and quiet a few things about the Empire will soon change, for better or worse.

The USP has finally reached the closest rendition of its utopia, forged in fire and bloodshed. After the purging of millions of enemies of the Soyuza vision of progress, long-term, carefully planned industrialization, and enforced rapid social change backed up by state power and the growing young masses of the country, the USP has finally reached the pinnacle of its potential.

The country is the largest in the world, loaded with coal, iron, minerals and jewels, natural gas, oil, and timber. The USP is heavily industrialized and very urbanized, with ten year plans having been in place since the days of Vladimir Alkaev to forge a new, cosmopolitan country. As a result the USP is as decadent as a socialist society can be, taking great pride in its architecture, healthcare system, transportation network, and cabaret culture.

Though it is a state socialist country, agriculture is privatized, though with strict regulations to prevent overfarming and maintain the USP's chernozem fields, the richest earth in the world besides the Great Plains of North America. Its economy is technically mixed, and small family owned shops are an extremely common city site, making the street scene diverse and charming. The USP takes immense pride in its urban, highly liberal social culture, though the taboo on talking about politics and the ever present absence of any point of view deemed "tyrannical" is a reminder that the USP's revolutionary new future was forged through blood.

The sun may never set on the empire, but the moon shines bright on the republic. The Heavenly Republic of Togeria which has seen much of its cultural changed since the introduction of Islam by the mongols in the 12-1300s has become a melting pot of different ideologies, cultures, and peoples that have entered and left in the nation's long and arguably turbulent history. It's state religion which is officially Nizari Islam, follows a path of human reasoning and practical application that has allowed it to blend well with the second and third most dominant religions in the country. Buddhism and Daoism. These believes have lead to a mix in doctrines that through 1399-1899 lead to the long 500yr period of realitive peace and prosperity for the old kingdom of the Shi Dynasty.

This would come to and end however with the presence of a new rival. The Parcian Empire single-handily disrupted the balance of power within East Asia leading to the current position of geopolitics and accelerating the fall of the old Shi Dynasty and leading to the formation of the Heavenly Republic.

This wouldn't be the last of the nation's troubles however as the growing force of the CPPE to the south has further complicated the delicate balance of power with East Asia to which the nation of Togeria stands center.

Despite being an Islamic Republic much of the empire's legal and social doctrine can be considered more free and left when compared to its neighbors. For example even in the height of Shi power, no presence of a jizya would require anyone of an outside religion to pay tax to the kingdom making the empire for a long period of time more liberal towards its other religions.

Further, to combat the spread of communism and socialism into the country the government decided to out-compete the socialist elements in encouraging and establishing greater reforms in women's rights, minority rights, treatment of military veterans, and establishing better worker rights and condition.

In doing this most of the coast of the country became the economic powerhouse of the nation as capital Toryama(Nanjing) leads the nation in output followed by other cities such as Nazadaki, Razadaki, Pyongyang, and Shiafu. The Yangtze and Yellow river basins provide the vast majority of the nation's economic output and allows the people to live in relative luxury and comfort.

In an effort to further combat any growing influence its neighbor Parcia may have, a dispatch is sent forth to the USP calling for a meeting between the two foreign ministers to establish greater trade communications between the two.

Oh Cascadia, a nation of the Douglas Fir and Carabao. Fits with it's people, a combined culture of the traditional Pacific Islander and Pacific Northwest. It's a rather compact nation, not that large compared to neighboring USP or Togeria, but it is highly dense in population, accounting for nearly 360 million people from the most recent census. These people are hard workers, providing high quality and high productivity, accounting for one of the largest navies and air force on Earth, and locking Cascadia as a major North American power. Being as such due to the vulnerability of the Philippines from the proximity of Parcia and Togeria. The pacific seems of much interest to the great powers of the East, having a considerable spot in the balance of the region. But things may change...

Industrial efforts to make the nation more appealing to trade have gone underway, encouraging an increase of productivity while maintaining quality. The country offers trade to the Pacific ring countries, namely the USP, Togeria, and Parcia.

On the North American Rockies, an unprecedented amount of military force has grown on the border, rumors are spreading that the Cascadian leadership is planning to stretch the borders for such a dense population, as well as more resourcses to maintain an industrious nation. Time will tell, you can count on that.

The USP is lukewarm at best to its southern neighbor, and though it grants its concessions are indeed signs of a reasonable and approachable government, the bold Alkaevist tendencies of the country lead to much awkwardness in regards to international relations. The USP is reluctant to play at geopolitics for anything besides its direct interests in energy trade and the support of Alkaevist groups.

Unwilling to be drawn into the superpower deadlock of Asia, and providing a Eurasian balance, the USP hesitantly denies closer trade relations with Togeria.

Being declined by the USP doesn't present any setback to the Togerian aspirations of a stronger trade base and in favor of new markets the opportunity of trade is taken up from Cascadia with a delegation being sailed from the capital of Toryama to Seattle to discuss partnership details.

The military of the nation since the republic's founding has always been in an odd position. Being heralded as a defensive force only to act in the case of the defense of the Togerian nation as well as Togerian interest, the Inagu Zhengiang ye Tzai-Zengoku(Defense force of Togeria) has seen a increase within in the passing decades with many in the country heralding it as the largest defense force in history. With a population of 1.2 billion the defense force of country is standing at 1,000,000 men and women strong active and 2,300,000 in reserve.

Many in the nation feel the military is too big for a defensive force and only aids to increase tension within Asia. This is however countered with the views of many who believe this force is big enough to act as a deterrent against any aggression from Togeria's neighbors.

The city of Pyongyang has been seeing an increase in its infrastructure. The Trans-Togerian road systems which is planned to stretch from Pyongyang down into Tibet and Xingiang is expected to increase trade among these areas and further aid in internal development. The city itself has adopted the creation a more stable banking sector designed to bring in investment from both foreign and domestic companies to aid in the cities developments. Other projects being pursued is the creation of several town centers, a bigger downtown area with a designated red light district, and the creation of more vertical apartment complexes to encourage immigration. This is done in an effort to turn the city into a bustling service center designed to give a ride arrangement of opportunities from gambling, education, banking, etc.

Sensing the ever increasing tensions of the Asia the Princess, still under the title of princess until her coronation, invites representatives of Cascadia, Togaria, the USP, and the CPPE to a open trade conference in Tokyo. On the matter of the Royal family, the Emperor unofficially stepped down from formal seat of ruling leader due to his increasing health concerns. While his grand daughter is still too young to accept the throne by royal law she is given the privileges and responsibilities of said office.

The elder Yoshida takes to his summer home in the mountains of central Honshu to live out the rest of his days in peace while still teaching his granddaughter the ins and outs of royal leadership. The sudden change of leadership has alarmed quiet a few of the older members of the Civil council due to the rather largely different styles of governments that either of the Yohidas.

The IPN begins its annual summer exorcises in the Sea of Japan (Sea of Parcia?) in conjunction with Imperial Ground and air forces stationed din the Korean peninsula. While Not as large as its mainland neighbors the Imperial army and air force both pride them selves in their long standing traditions of military prowess and experience. The government of Togeria which prides itself on being a representative democracy with a wide arrange of outlets for the people to discuss their concerns as well as a bustling population of people willing to participate in the political process makes sure the most passionate and able to lead the Committee of Peoples or Ren-Weyshu. The Ren-Weyshu is based slightly anarchist in its structure with guidelines of the republic being "No Ruler Shall Have or be Allowed to Have Control of the People Without the Consent of the People." This tying in with popular anarchist believes in 18th century of a nation governed without rulers. With Togeria, Parcia, and the CPPE all major rivals in the region, the USP seeks to at the very least maintain its status as a northern cultural anomaly. Its avante-garde culture is a staple of Soyuza social life, with cabaret shows, nude art, art film theaters, and art deco and socialist realist architecture, and it seeks to increase tourism as it has always branded itself as a radical and often deeply troubling nation to the vast majority of societies - however it offers itself as a radically different cultural experience complete with train rides across the country, showcasing the most prominent aspects of Soyuza culture.

Seeing Global Tensions rise up, funding goes into developing newer Air, Sea, and Land capabilities, finding itself vulnerable to lagging behind in military technology. Efforts go into Long Range systems as well as Defensive Systems, due to the Philippines' spot on the map as well as the geographic isolation of much of Cascadia from the Eurasian Continent. She sternly warns that though she has no desire for an international conflict, Cascadia should be careful not to overstep its bounds, as the USP mans ballistic missiles in Arktika Oblast, well within range of Cascadia itself. She emphasizes that these are only for deterrence purposes, and to protect the USP's socialist culture.

India has no need of dynasties or cosmopolitanism; for we have a world to dominate.

Ever since independence, rapid population growth and industrialization and modernization have made India an integral part of the global economy, and optimistic economists predict that India will soon overtake even the behemoth of the USP in economic and perhaps even military terms. However, the conservative Parliament knows that idealism is a dagger which shines the brightest, and carefully regulates economic and military growth so as to not create any bubbles or make the military too small at any given time (what with the Togerians to the north, in the middle of a territorial dispute in the Arunachal Pradesh. The current population is nearing 1 billion.

The government also invests heavily in the sciences and the navy, hoping to build up a significant presence in the scientific community and on the high seas.

To further show its military superiority has called for a tank platoon numbering 45 tanks and two divisions of 40,000 men to enter the Arunachal Pradesh.
