UNDERGRADUATE:
For day-to-day informal activities, a black gown is worn over a suit. For commoners, this is short and only covers the jacket and half the sleeves. For gentleman-commoners, it is the same size but trimmed with lace and embroidery. Exhibitioners wear a longer gown and Scholars a full-length gown. A mortarboad is also worn.
Suffuscus, Latin for 'darkish', similar to the Oxford and Cambridge 'sub fusc', is the formal academic dress of a university. It consists of gown, cap and a form of white tie. It is worn to all formal events, such as formal dinners, examinations, collections, chapel, court, matriculation and graduation.
GRADUATE:
Graduate students wear a graduate gown as per their degree.
