Oh, didn't see you there. Hello, I am [CLASSIFIED], really, I can't tell them my name? Fine, I was sent to tell ya lot bout this new RP from the mind of one [CLASSIFIED], or known to ya lot as Faal Lot Himdah, Faal, FLH, and/or Merlin. Anyways, in this world, we call.... Earth, or Midgard, or whatever makes ya boat float, there have been many religions. Some more, well, how to put it without insulting anyone.... Viable. And here come the hate comments. Hey, haters going to hate.
Anyways, heres the big bomb. All these religions, such as the Hellenistic, Roman, Egyptian, Norse, Catholism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Daoism, and many more, are true. By that I mean, all the gods of them, are real. Even Buddha is real and chilling up in what we call the Realm of Big G's. Though you can call it Heaven, Paradise, Asgard, Olympus, or whatever. So, all these Big G's, they are chilling up in this realm of existance. The Realm of Big G's is really the combination of many home of gods. Except the underworlds, and other realms of Norse myth. While every Big G that has a known helper being (ie Angels for The Big Man, and Odin has the Einherjar), they also have lesser known beings serving them. Meet the Guides.
Guides are spiritual beings that exist for the sole purpose of feeding the Big G they are under more power. All Guides are the spirits of former mortals, but are never the spirit of famous folk. The Big G's get more powerful when more people follow them or are connected with their Guides. So, the Big G's send their Guides down to the mortal world to find a human who is in need of guiding, or just to find a human who they could trick into guiding. Oh, perhaps now I should tell ya that not all Guides work for peaceful and nice Big Gs. Some Guides work for less polite Big Gs and are often instructed to eliminate other Guide-Human pairings. Ya can call it a shadow war. All the Big Gs know its happening, but since it isn't in their realm, they turn a blind eye.
Guides have three forms. The first two are the only forms that Guides can consiously switch between. Their human form (all Guides also have the ability to change what they are wearing instantly, and each have a unique armor they can equip for battle) and animal form are the only forms that a Guide can switch between consiously. Their third form is a form that they turn into when they sleep. Yes, even Guides need sleep (not every night, they can go much longer than a human without sleep), their powers aren't infinite and they often need to recharge. When in their third form they become a simple object or symbol (ring, totem, rock, if it ain't alive, it's fair game), and the only thing that can force them out of it is, the human they are guiding. What the form of their third form is depends on the human they are guiding. Oh, and the only way a Guide can be "killed" (they just return to their Big G) is when they are in their third form.
I should also mention that all Guides have a single unique power. That said, two Guides can have similar powers. By unique I mean that the Guide has that power plus all the normal powers that are associated with being a Guide.
For a Guide to start guiding a human, a contract must be made. A Guide can only guide a human if the human agrees. That said, some Guides trick humans into signing, and the terms might not always be fair for the human. But somethings that are constant, are that the Guide and Human share a mental link and that Guides can not kill the human they signed with. Oh, and Guides often make contracts with teens.
Now, I think I told you everything.... Oh, just one more thing.
This will be mainly a slice of life esque RP (with grimmark welcomed) where some humans have discovered some Guides and now must learn to live with them, taking place in the small (fictional) town of Acton in England. So small that it doesn't have any big name grocery stores or supermarkets. Its most notable feature is an old castle that over looks the town.

So, I encourage you to find someone you wouldn't mind RPing with, and then the two of you decide who will be a Guide and who will be human. Or you can create both a Guide and Human, but I would prefer you don't have your two characters pair up.
