There's no substantial proof that they do exist. The way I see it, the only rational camp in this topic, is the one that says that they might or might not, only time will tell. And even then, I hear time is great at keeping secrets.

No, I don't think they're hiding them from us. The only reason they would hide it is to keep citizens from freaking out. And as long as the government acted appropriately, I honestly don't think anyone would freak out, at least not in the, "Hey! We're not alone in the universe! Let's blow shit up!" kinda way. Not to mention, whoever was president during the discovery of aliens would almost certainly be reelected. So someone would've blown the whistle to further the popularity of their political career and party. And finally, the government can't even keep their own programs from being discovered. I really don't think they're capable of keeping knowledge of another intelligent civilization quiet for very long at all.

Probably. I mean, all it takes to be an alien is to be an organic creature not from earth. Even bacteria could be considered aliens. So yeah, I'm 99.99% sure aliens are out there.

Of course. Given the infinite vastness of the known universe, I wouldn't be surprised if there is some form of extraterrestrial life form in existence, even if it's microbes.

I don't think there is concrete evidence to prove that aliens exist, but neither is there proof to disprove the evidence of aliens existing. Besides, the Milky Way is so big, and so is the universe, thus we can conclude that we are not the only intelligent life forms in the entire universe or the Milky Way, and there is a high chance of aliens existing.
