Stephen Hawking warns we should 'be wary' about answering alien signals, and suggests an advanced civilization could attempt to colonize Earth

After visiting the deep super massive black hole, Sagittarius A*, Hawking travels to Gliese 832c, which he says is the most Earth-like exo-planet in the universe and the best place for potential extraterrestrial life.

‘In recent years, we have found thousands of planets outside our solar system’, Hawking says during the film.

Do you think Stephan Hawkings is right? I think there is enough of a basis to make a good argument that aliens are quite possibly dangerous to humanities future, we should be wary if we come in contact of aliens, we are horrible to other species so I wouldn't be surprised if aliens are horrible to other species as well.

Therefore I agree with Hawking, if aliens do indeed exist we should be VERY wary. Safest thing to do is not even respond back if they message us until we are 100% which is practically impossible. Therefore contacting aliens? No Discovering if there is life outside our planet? Yes

I certainly believe that any alien species we encounter will make attempts to settle on Earth or be harmful in some way to humanity's collective interests. And we should always have a plan should they turn hostile or threaten our existence. I think we should look to colonizing our own solar system and constantly updating our technology first, so we will be ready should they come here like how the Europeans came to the Americas. This is our solar system. Here, humanity comes first.
