About half a year ago, Ostehaar produced 8 nuclear warheads for Vancouvia. One of the warheads was tested in the far eastern portion of the Eterna Sea. Oster and Vancouvian officials were quick to blame New Aapelistan for the test.

This is an OOC thread for a possible sequel, involving Ostehaar, Vancouvia, Realm of Councilry, (Skaitsya? New Aapelistan? Eutriston?) and perhaps other nations in TWI. Feel free to suggest your ideas here.

The leak in Van's Congress can somehow get to agents or informants from your nations in Vancouvia. That's how you can start investigating (assuming one informant wouldn't be able to learn the entire chain events).

Sure, if you wish. What's your motive, though? Our nations don't have a history of hostility, so I assume it would be some higher moral agenda, like letting what is secret turn un-secret, and preventing nuclear weaponization? Either that, or your nation is trying to get on Ostehaar's bad side. :P

Skaitsya would be on Ostehaar's side. Ost, that RP I discussed with you could happen at the same time, shifting our allegiance? If it's too much a workload (which it probably would be for me tbh) then we can just leave me on your side, but it could cool?

No, we don't have a bad history, we just have a better history with Vancouvia than you. And most of my populations ancestors came from around Vancouvia, or at least where it is now, and feel a closer tie to them.

So to sum what we have in the moment:

It's been several months since the incident, all the while bits of information about the Vancouvian nuclear weapons program (along with Ostehaar) leak within the Vancouvian Congress. An independent research by an accountant leads to his demise in the hands of black-ops mercenaries (sounds right, Van?) - an event which raises concerns in the Congress and makes some people there want to expose the details of the nuclear deal.

From there on, there are several ways in which this can unfold:

1. The black-ops mercenaries can be from another nation, as a favor to Vancouvia (Councilry? During a trip outside Vancouvia?). Oster intelligence services can learn about the incident and start investigating to discover what information has leaked and to whom, thus putting Vancouvian Congressmen on their sights.
2. Intelligence agencies from Skaitsya, NA and Eutriston can also find out about the indicent and start trying to find more information by actions such as: talking to Vancouvian Congressmen, investigating people who were involved, sniffing around in Ostehaar... I don't know, be creative. :P
3. Eventually some outside entity (one of the nations mentioned) and\or some Vancouvians find enough information to make the story public, and Oster and Vancouvian espionage agencies can try to shut these people up.

My country has a mercenary industry, so maybe the mercenaries are from Skaitsya? It would either be our largest company, which is (secretly) government controlled, or from a smaller and free company.

There's not a "Vancouvian side." Both people against it coming out and people who are in favor are active in all levels of Vancouvian hierarchy. Plus people who just don't know and will initially be in shock.

I don't. I'm just not home at the moment so I'll be able to post there only tomorrow. If you want, you can go ahead and further the plot in the meantime.

Okay, I got some story arcs going.

I'd like if Caprice got kidnapped in her apartment. I'm gonna have her be about to send an email to her superior to discuss the weird entry when someone bursts through her door. She'll end up sending a half finished email that will lead off to some other people getting involved (plus her disappearance suddenly).

If someone who wants to take the role of kidnapping her can make a post just about the setup/preparation of that, that would be great, and then I'll do the post at her apartment itself when she actually gets kidnapped.
