It is the early 21st century. The USA federal government shot a cruise missile at a prominent building within American territory, and used holograms to make it look like a hijacked passenger airplane. Then they accuse your nation's government of having links to the terrorist organization that they framed for this terrorist attack. They also accuse you of several human rights violations and building weapons of mass destruction. They assemble a coalition of the willing and then send you an ultimatum to give up power or face liberation. All protests to international organizations have been in vain, for the true owners of the American federal government are hell-bent on liberating your natural resources.

How would your nation react to this American invasion? Would you fight back and face the full force of the US military (and if so, what are your chances of surviving)? Would you voluntarily give up power and face a peaceful armed occupation? Would you attempt some sort of non-violent resistance?

La Cosa Fedora, having already infiltrated America, would already know of these "secret" plans. At this point, our /Pol/itburo would make a decision.There are several options to consider:

1. The lazy solution: arrange a repeat the ending of the JFK story with all members of the American leadership. This means thousands of "lone gunmen" taking the lives of American politicians simultaneously within the same sixty second period while leaving no trace of a conspiracy. The ones that get caught will be shot by "vigilantes". The downside is this might not actually stop the wicked USA federal government from carrying out its aggressive plans beyond the short run.

2. The "just for the lulz" solution: actually carry out the attacks that the wicked USA federal government intends as a false flag, but perhaps do so on a grander scale to actually weaken the wicked USA federal government's offensive capacity. Practically guarantees war, but against an already weakened USA federal government, it should be a cakewalk.

3. The greedy solution: carry out a false flag attack against ourselves and blame the CIA. Invade the USA and exploit the conquered areas for natural resources and labor. Getting in will be easy, but maintaining a regime of occupation could present problems. It is likely that in this eventuality we would have to divide the USA into different countries, probably along racial lines to take advantage of pre-existing racial tensions.

4. The risk-averse solution: support a friendly regime and have them cause a serious incident somewhere else which would distract the Americans enough to convince them that the time is not right to carry out the false flag attack and the invasion. The downside is that this would be that it could also prove to be a short lived solution, but perhaps when carried out in combination with option #1 it could be viable.

Whichever we decide, there is a good chance that we will win. America has lots of fundies, and fundies cannot STEM. As a consequence of this, American equipment is exceptionally shoddy, as is the training and propaganda of the American manpower.

We on the other hand are euphoric not from the existence of a phony god, but because we are enlightened by our own intelligence. This enables our IQ in STEM to exceed 9,000, which means that all our weapons are far superior to the Amerifat junk, and our forces are elite gentlesirs of honor who have trained with blade and gun and memes while the Amerifats were smoking (not vaping like a true man of the enlightenment!) and making teenage pregnancies. Our foe is such a puppet of the Wall-Street Feminazi-Judeobolsheviks that many of its own citizens will abandon their evil federal government to serve as our fifth column, emerging from basements all over the nation to strike at critical points of infrastructure. Since neckbeards always seem to be on the internet, it will catch everyone by surprise. As a result of our location in the Congo, whose resources cost more than the entire GDPs of Europe and US combined, we have managed to monopolize most resources, including uranium (used for nuclear bombs and energy) and coltan (used for cellphones, tablets, computers, etc.), which we have an abundance of. Fadriotho has successfully utilized its own resources, as well as its massive population, to create the equally massive industry that rivals China today. If the United States 'liberates' our oil, we will immediately stop all sorts of connections with the outside world. The global economy will plummet and important companies like Apple will most likely die off, which will upset the entire world. All because of a greedy action committed by the United States.

We're not sure, but possibly a yes. The USA did exist in Rebirth Union's alternate timeline, but CTE in 1961, splitting into smaller nations north of Rebirth Union.

However, 21st century USA like it is today might be harder. Being where real timeline USA's Mississippi and Louisiana states are, cotton is the biggest natural resource in Rebirth Union. It could turn out with some similarity to the Civil War. Unlike the CSA though, Rebirth Union embraces experimental weapons development, especially space and the development of alternative handguns and rifles, such as the "Flash" series of plasma handguns and prototype Burner plasma rifles. They use argon gas as a way to shoot concentrated, lethal bursts of hot plasma but aren't long-range and are expensive. Rebirth Union heavily supports the development of these weapons as a way to defend Rebirth Union as well as the use of orbital weapons.

Rebirth Union would most likely warn the USA that any liberation attempts will not be tolerated. The two orbital weapons Rebirth Union possesses is the Unitarian Heliobeam Satellite and the Atomship, a large satellite carrying four 18 Kt atomic bombs that are capable of being shot in a location at an extreme velocity. Although they are weaker, the speed of the "slingshot" that throws them out allows them to bomb a destination in ~6.45 minutes.
The Heliobeam Satellite is basically a giant magnifying glass, ran remotely by Rebirth Union. It can concentrate heat on a certain area to cause fires and rapid death, but hasn't been fully tested.

So the likelihood of Rebirth Union winning a war against the 21st century USA and its willing allies is not completely a certain victory, and it may be due to the size of Rebirth Union compared to it. With the use of experimental weapons (which is a recent war tactic for Rebirth Union), it's not sure whether they will prove to be useful in war or not.

If some still-existing USA threatened us from some other timeline, our response would be simple:

1) We would hijack their airwaves just so they could all hear us laughing at them for thinking they could liberate the oil of a nation several lightyears away, when they can't even manage to get a manned ship to Mars.

2) We would show them our technological superiority - by FTLing to their Earth in swarms of millions.

3) We would then liberate all of THEIR oil! Oil raiding is what we DO. They have the right idea when it comes to oil raids, but they're far too inexperienced - and prone to making everything like that into a needlessly complicated mess - to match the efficiency of even one of our decent-sized raid gangs, let alone our serious forces.

4) We would give them a permanent dose of FREEDOM™, Decepticon style! They will be free from having to worry about voting, alternative philosophies to ours, having to concern themselves with where to work, and even from concerns about wages. We will provide the permanent government, the One Approved Philosophy, and the lifetime labor sites where they will work without pay, that will free them from all of those concerns!

Our old Grand Duke(who occasionally pops in even though he's dead just because I don't like his successor) would wage war on the U.S. and start drafting millions of brainwashed men into the military; bringing our invasion force up to 12 million as opposed to 2 million Americans(and 6 million of those are regular troops, hardened veterans). We'd start by blasting the States with a few thousand missiles, shattering military bases and buttering up the coastline for a quick paratroop drop behind enemy lines in D.C. followed by a grand amphibious invasion of millions of men which would quickly fan out and capture much of the Eastern Seaboard. With D.C. gone America's national morale plummets and additional paratroop operations in major cities like Los Angeles, Houston, Chicago, Miami, New Orleans, Mobile(historically important to us- not gonna go into it here but let's just say that was our Dunkirk), and Seattle hammer the final nail into the USA's coffin. Millions more troops are shipped into captured major ports and fan out, securing deserted territory for Capile. In addition, hundreds of thousands of heavily armed military policemen are sent to America to keep the peace in major cities.

Whatever's left of the disjointed American army would quickly be dispatched by blitzkrieg offensives in every direction to secure the Midwest; we expect the remnants of the US military to stage one last stand in either the Appalachians or the Rockies, both of which would be grueling but it would just be a matter of time until the forces were surrounded and captured. During all of this the main Capilean battle fleet, while powerful, recognizes the American navy's initial superiority and thus stays in port, sending expendable but vicious submarine wolf-packs to hunt down juicy targets such as aircraft carriers and powerful cruisers until the US Navy is ground down and vulnerable. Then our navy strikes, hopefully scattering the enemy fleet with a resounding victory by correctly utilizing air power and the super battleships we have at our disposal.

The American air force would prove pesky but easy to overcome, as thousands of Capilean aircraft pour into the States. The main obstacle would be supplies; with the enemy fleet initially in control of the Atlantic(the Pacific could be easily wrested from them due to Capile's proximity to that ocean) Capilean supply shipments would be few and far-in-between, so we would have to rely on airborne supply drops, which is risky but could do the job, provided they were properly escorted. Once all of this was complete, America would be demanded to surrender with generous terms, and a new Monarchist puppet regime would be installed. All captured equipment would be funneled back into America's new military while the main force of Capilean's would withdraw, leaving large garrisons at military bases to ensure that the new monarch obeys the Duke's every whim.

Considering that many of our facilities are inside the US and exist with the US government's permission, this would be a rather strange move on their part, to say the very least. If the US government were to be stupid enough to want to take military action against us (the organization that, long story short, works 24/7 to prevent Eldritch abominations and unspeakable monstrosities from turning the entire planet into a festering, non-Euclidean hellscape), we'd simply pull some strings within the government, and, if necessary, give some people amnestics while also reminding them of how bad the FBI is at doing our job.

The Dominion is generally peaceful and welcoming unless threatened. Herulijan wrath is legendary, which is precisely why most people just prefer to keep their distance and leave us be. We welcome visitors, we play hard and laugh at the bruises and cuts, and we are known for hospitality and brutal, unabashed honesty-- you simply do not piss us off... ever.

- Herulija is known to be a neutral country, so their accusations would be ill-founded; anyone dumb enough to believe their story would be, by proxy, too stupid to live.

- Under the circumstances described, Herulija would be insulted at being falsely accused, which in itself is a dangerous thing to do, and since an overt threat of invasion is declared, there is no turning back for them. If we are going to be given the name, then we will play the game. The Dominion has a scorched earth policy: we would immediately attack and exterminate the entire country for such a provocation. If that means global holocaust, we're fine with that, but you WILL pay.

Going up against modern-day USA, the stakes would be high and would probably be decided by variables that would shift frequently. The outcomes of individual engagements might decide the course of the entire war. The Victory Corporation possesses superior technology, and any one soldier, armored vehicle, or aircraft could 90% of the time defeat any US counterpart in a one-on-one engagement. However, we have much lower manpower and resources in general. If the US rallies allies against us, very likely we would be cut off from essential resources needed to build and maintain fighting forces, not to mention civilian infrastructure.

Where allies are involved, the Victory Corporation will attempt to make political deals and, where necessary, bring about an early regime change so that a more favorable party has the deciding vote in whether to aid the USA or not. This would make the war survivable, a bad war for the Victory Corporation probably resulting in a cease-fire and years-long cold war. A good war would likely result in the Victory Corporation costing the US a great deal in manpower and military resources, with the Victory Corporation denying all attempts to gain a foothold on our land.

In the case of the invasion being declared, the first act of the Victory Corporation would be to locate military bases where the USA is preparing its forces and destroy, disable, or damage them in whatever ways possible. An early strike will cost them valuable manpower and time spent preparing, and will hopefully be a blow to morale. But once the US offensive is on, all forces must be pulled back to defend, as we don't have enough to extend too much with the shadow bearing down on us.

Presumably, the Victory Corporation is far enough away that it would be impractical or impossible to attack by land, so sea and air engagements must occur first. The US has a very strong sea capability, but here the superior technology capability of the Victory Corporation will prevail. With much longer range, better stealth, and better defense, our small navy can hold out against US battle groups for a decent amount of time. We can establish air superiority and nullify the primary advantage of US aircraft carriers, with anything they deploy being shot down within minutes, and harass guard ships with ease. When the US moves in landing craft to deploy troops, their guard ships can also be harassed and destroyed while mobile land forces move to resist the troop deployments. With much longer range than the US, our artillery can pick off many landing craft before they reach the shore, and with superior positions can repel multiple waves of landing craft with vehicles and infantry.

If the USA has not had enough yet, they will eventually get troops in and fortify their positions in our land, at great cost. At this point, both navies are devastated and Victory Corporation air superiority is fading as craft are shot down and airfields destroyed. The Victory Corporation is mostly harassing with long-range artillery, and denying advancement into key positions with tank positions. Aircraft should still be able to make strikes against ships near the shore, preventing the US from establishing more fortified positions with naval support. Infantry are skirmishing, striking forward bases and disrupting back lines where possible. The navy has withdrawn, harassing if possible and defending additional landing locations, but depleted from the sheer weight of the US forces thrown against it.

In land warfare, the outcome really depends on how many troops the USA is able to bring to bear. Victory Corporation assets are effectively able to deny any form of US armor, with airborne strikes and armor of our own. Railguns on our tanks have much more stopping power and range than the best US tanks. But with a much lower infantry manpower, it is possible that US infantry could resort to guerrilla warfare tactics and cause severe damage while sustaining few losses, in a worst case scenario enough so that the US offensive can begin again. In that scenario, Victory Corporation air support would be on even ground or a little behind US air capabilities, so both sides can make effective air strikes now. The Victory Corporation navy would be completely nonexistent, having been wiped out by US forces long, long ago as they surrounded and denied any places to hide. Our armored assets would still be strong, but would have taken the brunt of the US troops' guerrilla attacks, as those troops saw how effective our tanks were at stopping other armor dead in its tracks. With US tanks actually coming into play now, they would be much more effective than infantry at taking out our own tanks, putting the Victory Corporation at only a slight advantage in that area.

Finally, the US would have enough of an advantage to push into our cities, and thus would begin a long back-and-forth costing both sides many vehicles and infantry, a war of attrition that the Victory Corporation would eventually lose. With a quality-over-quantity strategy, we cannot afford to lose too many troops and vehicles, while the US is huge and can keep sending in troops to continue the fight. The Victory Corporation has cost the US billions or even tens of billions of dollars, not worth it at all considering that we have only moderate oil reserves and few natural resources. However. If they took our scientists and were somehow able to reverse-engineer our technology, within the next twenty or thirty years of fervently mass-producing new designs they could start world war 3 and have a good shot at winning it due to the sheer technological advantage.
