A History of the People's Federal State, 1926 on

    Foreword
It should be noted that no project of this exact scale and specifications has been attempted before in the academic community - namely, a history constructed by multiple authors focusing on multiple topics throughout the entirety of the history of the People's Federal State. Such projects may have been planned out, but there have been no major and serious attempts for such a project from our relatively extensive research into the matter.

Indeed, this history was completed in such a short period of time (less than a decade, compared to some histories a period of time that merely flashes by) due to this projects willingness to welcome multiple authors from both the historical academic community and outside of the historical academic community - we have invited both informal and formal specialists and those knowledgeable on topics we are dealing with in this history, both known and unknown, to provide their own additions to this history. There will be sections where this aid will be noticeable, while others would as a standalone work have been written solely by those from the historical academic community.

We therefore give our credit to various authors and writers who added their own pieces to this history at the end of each volume, perhaps as the equivalent of the credits in motion pictures - where readers will be able to appreciate the full list of authors and writers after having enjoyed a full or even partial read-through of the history. Authors and writers will of course be listed on the pieces and additions they wrote/added to the history in addition to the list at the back of each volume.

A notable thanks goes to the State Office of Education and the Federal Archives for their constant and willing assistance with this history.

Continental Congress (Kontinentalkongress)

It should be noted to readers that while chronologically the Revolution takes place before the Continental Congress, with the Continental Congress a conference of delegates from the individual provisional governments that had been set up by the revolutionaries, the Continental Congress is the foundation of the modern Bican state and therefore comes first in this history.

    Prelude to the Conference
The Continental Congress was determined upon by the individual provisional governments in around early August of 1926, although the basic set-up and the proposal for such a conference had been circulating between the provisional governments since the Revolution. Announced on the 14th of August 1926 with the date of the conference set for the 15th of September 1926, the location and objective of the conference was also determined upon - Geiselstadt, at the time [1] a relatively small city in the middle of the continent situated on the Imperator's River, a major waterway that has since been renamed to the 'River of the Workers and Peasants' (Fluss der Arbeiter und Bauern) to remove any monarchist influence. Geiselstadt had previously served as a location for the seat of the Emperor during the medieval period.

[1] - It should be noted that today Geiselstadt is the capital of Bica, a major industrial city with millions of inhabitants as well as an intricate and bustling railway network. Essentially, Geiselstadt serves as what could be called the heart of the nation and has been that way for less than ninety years.
