What does your country think of anime?

Postby Cromasia » Wed Aug 24, 2016 1:38 pm

It is as the title says. Just state your country's opinion on anime. For example, anime is very popular in Cromasia. It has whole channels dedicated to it.

positive. the community of anime, alongside other related aspects of japanese culture, are rapidly growing due to the cordial economic relationship between japan and caragandy and the promotion of japanese culture to caragandy by both otakus, weeaboos, and japanese people combined

All anime is banned

Any show not related to government propaganda is banned from broadcast on our televisions. We sometimes allow foreign shows but we twist the plot to include our ideology of Bountyism.

Our favourite show is "Anything else" It's about a traitor who begs for more Civil Rights and Political Freedoms. At the end of the round he is shot.
SARBY TV : Stay indoors or in the nearest shelter. Do not interact with foreigners. Our great nation is definding itself from attack. -Stay indoors.....

Anime has a cult-like following among gentlesirs of honor. Only normie scum disdain anime. Reeeee normies get out!
Ask us anything!

Join MENINFORM today! Or that's not your style, issue a formal condemnation!

Our state, the League of the Six Free Peoples, is actually controlled by a cartel of neckbeards known as La Cosa Fedora. Members of the cartel are known as Honorable Gentlesirs. Citizens who are not members are known as normies.

Our armed forces are armies of the radicalized romanceless.

Do you fear us yet? If not, have some anti-neckbeard propaganda!

The American Continental Republics has a large trading relationship with Japan and Korea. Thus Anime gets imported in bulk to large audiences. It has a very cult following among mostly younger audiences. Most tend to stick to tradition in Hollywood for their entertainment needs.

Japanese Animations are usually seen as distractions from the true American way of life, American animation is way more popular.
Please be nice and refer this country as "America", or "United States" when in IC.

It's generally considered a good distraction from the ennui of daily life, but those who take it to the extreme are looked down upon severely.

For some reason, only harem animes are popular. No other form of anime is. It's... well... we don't know why.

a large number of younger Ruvians (including King Yoshio!) enjoy anime quite a bit. Older Ruvians mostly just think it's kinda silly, our government has no opinion on it.

We are our setting's home of Anime; it's a given that the popular opinion is positive.

(Though, if the OOC real world was acknowledged, I will want to rant all day about the status of the current Anime industry.)

There's good anime... like "Vampire Hunter D" and other similar titles of its quality.
And then there are malignant-tumors like.... all the others.
So its more like... it's allowed on a title-by-title basis.

Loreaver accepts anime as a viable import, a good 37% of the adult population and an astonishing 61% of teenage and pre-adolescent seem to enjoy it. Conventions on anime pop up every few months across the nation, and does wonders for business. The two most popular genres are Slice of Life and Science Fiction.

Most of the Soadinan population looks as anime negatively because it's foreign. It is not banned or blocked though.

Anime is very popular in Yannia. Thousands of titles are produced annually, and almost all are shown on various TV, and internet channels.
Yannia's nation page contains an error. The population should be in millions, not in billions.
