They do more than go bump in the night, they attack and feed off man. They pursue and terrorize him. The monsters of the night see man as nothing more than food and a playthings.
Well, people got tired of the things bumping in the dark. Man Grew tired of the fear, of the death and destruction. So Man gathered its courage and girded its lions and decided to bump back....hard. Over time man learned how to kill the monsters through various mundane and magical means and in time The monsters of the night were defeated and forgotten pushed out of the minds of man.
Today, science scoffs at the ideas of these creatures of the night. Bad ergot, hallucinations, swamp gas and all other kinds of excuses are used to explain away the unknown. Though science has remained skeptical about monsters and the supernatural, you know the truth. As do many like you, you fight, fight to break the status quo that has been held for so long with the cost of human lives and those of other beings.
In America, there are three main factions involved in this fight. Battles and hunts take place outside of America of course but we will mainly be focusing on and in United States of America to kelp keep things focused.

Rules:
1. OPs and CO OP word is law word is law.
2. Do not be a jerk in OOC, if character is a jerk then by all means jerk it up IC but not OOC.
3. A little over the top is fine but not to much.
4. No over powered characters. They suck all the fun out of the Rp.

6. Monsters can be on the side of man but not too often please. (list faction as human in the app in this case.)
7. A more traditional view of monsters is what I am basing most of the monster and there weaknesses with a few slight adjustments.
8. Magic is the only kind of superpower allowed.
9. This Rp will be PG 13 ish. If you do stray into r rated territory it will NOT be Because of Sex PERIOD.
10. Three (3) character limit please. It cuts down on confusion.
11. Banned Powers: Absolute teleportation (must be heavily limited by something), Mind control (unless agreed upon to be plot relevant), Cosmic Awareness( to compensate raise characters IQ and tactical ability), Omnipotence.
