Today was a historic day for conservationists in the Lyrobian district of Rwanda and nationwide. Today ended their decades long struggle to have Nyungwe Forest classified as a national park. The well-preserved montane rainforest, which is located near the district's southern border, is located between the watershed regions of the river Congo and the river Nile.

Since 1972 the area has been recognized by the Lyrobian Forest Service as a national forest. This classification ended logging in the area, which threatened the majority of the wildlife in the highly diverse region. However, loopholes in national regulations allowed for poachers to hunt limited amounts of primates and birds in the area even after its designation as a protected area. Environment groups, such as Conservationists For Lyrobia (CFL) and the Lyrobian National Environmentalist League (LNEL), have been leading the charge for many, many years to end the previously mentioned loopholes and for the reclassification of Nyungwe Forest. A monumental legislative push in 2012, led by then recently appointed Chancellor Vale Cheboi, ended the loopholes, but the two groups still sought the national park title for the area as a consolation prize.

The lengthy process to become a national park began in late 2013 for Nyungwe Forest. This arduous included the presentation of historical, cultural, and environmental information on the area under review by park rangers from Nyungwe Forest. Certain standards are required to be met to prove the area will contribute to all three areas for the entire country. The average report is 65 pages long, Nyungwe's was 86. After several other steps, all of which were passed with flying colors, the motion to level up the national forest reached the Chancellor's desk. The resolution was quickly signed by Mr. Cheboi, who grew up near the area in the northern areas of the District of Burundi.

The ceremony officially transitioning Nyungwe National Forest into Nyungwe National Park took place today, beginning as 11:00 AM and concluding at 2:34 PM. The three-and-a-half hour ceremony included speeches from the park's two chief rangers, a married couple who have both served the park for more than 40 years each, about how this day is a dream come true for them. The Chancellor himself spoke for 34 minutes on the importance of conservation moving forward in the modern era, recounting some of his earliest memories of nature, which took place in the park and how those experiences had a positive impact on him. The speech, which Chancellor Cheboi called "one of the greatest moments of [his] tenure as chancellor" served as the final event in his three day excursion to Rwanda, which included a day of hiking in the park with his wife and two children.

It has been a few weeks in Reserka since the coup in the Assembly that canceled the election of this year. It was after a series of unfortunate suicides and attacks by Bonian extremists, that the Conservative Party and the Isolationist party to unite in a majority in the assembly and pass several bills that boosted their power.

One such bill called Local Social Issue Allowance, which was meant to allow local government to pass laws to help social issues if the federal government has responded to them yet. Previously it was not allowed due to the an Amendment. This bill has done wonders in the south allowing Gay Marriage to be illegal again and allow the religious to follow their be believes in there business with out discrimination by the government.

However this do not work in the northern states of Reserka. As many Bonians have been persecuted in education, law and justice, and in services. This have reserved international attention by yellow journalists who inflate the tensions between the urban and rural state of Reserka. We only hope that this situation will resolve itself soon and not lead to the nation being under a dictator once again, as well as a peaceful end to Bonian discrimination.

Today, a bill was signed into law by President Adelard D'entremont concerning the number of Active Militia forces. The bill was passed by both the House of Representatives and the County Senate unanimously. It reduces the number of active militia soldiers performing maintenance and other essential tasks from 724 to 302. The measure was brought to the county senate after senior military leaders observed that the workload was not enough to keep 724 soldiers on active duty. Those 422 soldiers that are being cut will be transferred to the reserve militia force at the end of next week.

DEFENSE WEEKLY ROUNDUP (WLBZ5 in Rumford)

Bath Iron Works Group today announced a deal has been reached in the construction of eight Arleigh Burke class destroyers as well as two Tarawa class amphibious assault transport carriers. The ships will be built for the struggling Reserkan Navy. Two destroyers are set to be delievered per year for the next four years. Both amphibious assault transports will be completed in under three years. The deal is set to generate billions in revenue for thr shipyard. When interviewed for this story, the CEO of the group stated: "We are glad to have new customers coming in, to order Bath built ships. As they say: Bath built, Best built".

In other news, a new embassy was established in Reserka. This sparked some controversy in certain circles of UCoM because of the security force. Security for the UCoM embassy in Reserka will consist of nine volunteer soldiers from the UCoM Militia Force. This will be the first time Maine military forces will have been deployed overseas in any capacity in history.

UKRAYIN TEMPORARILY OPENS BORDER TO BONIANS

The government of Ukrayin, in a move perhaps geared towards easing the burden on Reserka playing host to the general bulk of the Bonian populace, has announced that it will take in a number of Bonian "refugees" that have recently campaigned to be allowed into the country. President Havryil Kedzierski appeared on national television yesterday to make this move clear to the people of Ukrayin, but also took the time to assert that his government remained in complete solidarity with Reserka, describing his actions as "ultimately easing the ethnic tensions already present" within the borders of the neighboring country. It is expected that all Bonians entering Ukrayin will undergo strict monitoring and background checks until it can be determined they are not a threat to national security.

Ever since the coup in Reserka, Ukrayin has gone to great lengths in order to step up its border security and instate tighter restrictions on who can and cannot enter the nation. In the last two weeks alone, the number of border guards has almost doubled in number.

In the ongoing fight against Daesh the Krakosivan Ministry of Defence has deemed it necessary to deploy one battalion of Airborne troops with support from BTR-70 APCs and a number of T-72S tanks, alongside units of the Krakosiva Spetsnaz. These units will be operating in support of the Kurdish Peshmerga forces of the YPG and YPK. Further troops may be deployed from the 1st Airborne Brigade and the KPAF (Krakosiva People's Air Force)

It have been a long time since the last a Bonian hit the top charts in Reserka, that would be the case if it wasn't for the fact that the committee that ran the chart took the infamous band off. Harley's Peacekeeps is that infamous that was taken off, but not for the reason you may think. The band is composed of three people. The unknown gender neutral person named by the public Harley, their wife Ciel, and a man named Houla. The band hold open concerts in the streets that attract many people. There song are about the strife of the people of the world and the things that the government has done to the people of Reserka specially the Bonians. Multiple time that police have interrupted these concerts and tried to arrest the band members, but they always kind a way out. These illusive people have started a new fire in the young of the Reserka, a fire that wants to stop the government from there abuse of the people and the mistreatment of all.

During the week of these events a young man named Vincent Rou have risen to mayor-hood in a city in Southern Reserka he has convinced the Socialist-Unity Party to back his plan. He has cleverly used the powers given to threaten the government to rise the militia against them. The only 28 year old Vincent cried out to the neighboring countries and state government to back the Socialist-Unity Party in a mass collective protest against the current government.

Only yesterday, as the news was let out. The government started to censor the news, but as social media flared with the tension of the situation people in Budapest and from all over march to the capital building demanding a new election for the assembly and the Conservative and Isolationist alliance to stop. As this happens the Alliance is struggling to decide as the Conservative want to keep Reserkas world imagine clean, the other side doesn't care and wants to stump this to stop.

The Presidential Election got underway today as polls around the nation opened. Turnout is expected to be high, particularly in Seaguard and in the capital Longshore. Polling will last until Saturday, with counting commencing once polls close at seven pm. Counting will pause on Sunday, before resuming in the early hours of Monday. A result is expected by Monday lunchtime.

An eve of election poll conducted by YouPoll on behalf of TRR placed independent candidate Patrick Collins firmly in the lead amongst voters, with the PN's Mícheál Ní Dhubhlainn a distant second. FG candidate Geroid Ní Conghaile trails the two frontrunners badly amongst voters who had made up their mind last night, but had the highest favourability rating amongst undecideds.

ELECTORAL CONTROVERSY ARISES

The Presidential Election campaign has taken a nasty turn, with a foreign government seemingly trying to subvert the election.

The Government of Nova Yorke has seen fit to interfere in the election by giving an official endorsement of PN candidate Mícheál Ní Dhubhlainn in what is a clear violation of their own laws and of electoral standards here in Rocal.
Speaking in a press conference at a PN campaign shop in North Cobh, Mr Ní Dhubhlainn refuted claims that he and the PN government had sought out this intervention.

"I categorically deny that anyone from the Oifig Coigríche, the Oifig an Taoiseach or indeed my own campaign team has been in contact with anyone from the government of Nova Yorke. I spoke with Taoiseach Donnelly this morning, and she assured me she nor anyone from the Government has attempted to court foreign support for my campaign."

Surprise front-runner Patrick Collins stated he had 'deep misgivings and concerns' regarding this intervention, but that he believed there was no evil intent on the part of the PN.
"I worked with Mícheál Ní Dhubhlainn on a number of committees back when we were TDs in the Dail, and I worked with him during the PN-OP coalition government in his first term as Taoiseach. He always struck me as a man of honesty and integrity, and I do not doubt him. This intervention was clearly as big a surprise to him as to anyone."

Gavin Farrelly, Chief Executive of the Coimisiún Toghcháin, which oversees all activities pertaining to elections, has suggested that there may need to be an official CT inquiry into this incident.

A spokesperson for the Oifig Coigríche stated that "The Foreign Minister has written to the government of Nova Yorke demanded an explanation for the input from the Chief of Staff. We are in close contact with the Coimisiún Toghcháin, and we will help with any investigations they enter into."

Well, this is truly extraordinary. The independent candidate Patrick Collins has swept to victory in this election. He received seventy six percent of the popular vote- that is the highest ever received by any candidate in any Presidential election in this country. We understand that none of the candidates will be making a speech from the counting centre, but that the new President-Elect will be addressing his supporters later today in Seaguard.

Recent polls conducted by YouPoll and the Rocal Mail show that between eighty and ninety percent of Rocallians wish to see an end to the Carmonian occupation of Ireland and the restoration of Irish independence.

Speaking on the ocassion of the Emperor's death, Martin Ó Maoilriain of the "Rocal Friends of the Occupied Counties" group stated that "it is disheartening to see yet another foreign Queen claim the allegiance of the Irish people and exercise dominion over them. We want to reassure our brother and sisters in the Thirty Two that we support them, and we are encouraging the government of Rocal to exert pressure on Carmonia to scale back its occupation." A war of words has errupted over the RFOC's comments concerning the centuries old Carmonian occupation of Ireland. Carmonia's state broadcaster accused Rocal as a nation of an 'insult' at a time of great mourning, with the new Empress now making her way to Longshore for a state visit.

A crowd of protestors estimated to number around four thousand has gathered at Longshore Airport to await the arrival of the Carmonian ruler. The area is awash with Tricolours, green Irish Republic flags and banners reading 'Give Ireland Back To The Irish'.

The protest has been organised by the RFOC's leader Martin Ó Maoilriain, who has said that the President Elect has been in contact.
"The new President will not be here as part of the protest- he is coming on official business to welcome the Empress to Rocal. But here we have four thousand men, women and children here to remind the Carmonians that Ireland is not theirs. A foreign King conquered the island in 1171, but since then the Irish people have on five occasions exercised their right to nationhood in arms. They refuse to submit to any rule but their own, and we commend them for that. We shall stand with them, and they shall overcome."

TRR understands that the new President has drawn up a number of proposals for the future of the island of Ireland he intends to discuss with the Carmonians, and that he has the full backing of the Taosieach and the government. A spokesperson for the Taosieach said "we of course support the right of the Irish people to self-determination. I would like to congratulate Your Majesty King Andrew II upon your accession to the throne of Nova Yorke. Should there be a coronation, I very much wish to attend. My condolences about Her Majesty's passing.

On the day of the Coronation, Luna XI enters Christ Cathedral wearing the crimson surcoat and the Robe of State of crimson red.
Luna XI takes her seat on the Chair of Estate, the Garter Principal King of Arms, the Archbishop of Artemisium, the Lord Chancellor, the Lord Great Chamberlain, the Lord High Constable and the Earl Marshal go to the east, south, west and north of the Cathedral. At each side, the Archbishop calls for the Recognition of the Sovereign, with the words,
Sirs, I here present unto you Luna XI, your undoubted Empress. Wherefore all you who are come this day to do your homage and service, are you willing to do the same?
The people acclaim Luna saying "Hail Imperatrix!" at each side. The Archbishop administers an oath to the Sovereign.
Artemis returns to Chair, the Archbishop standing before him administers the Coronation Oath, first asking the Monarch:
Madam, is your Imperial Majesty willing to take the Oath?
Luna answers, "I am willing."
The Archbishop ministers these questions; and the Monarch, who has a book in his hand, answers each question:
Archbishop: Will you solemnly promise and swear to govern the Peoples of the Britannic Empire of Carmonia, the Kingdoms of England and Ireland, and of your Possessions and the other Dominions to any of them belonging or pertaining, according to their respective laws and customs?
Luna: I solemnly promise so to do.
Archbishop. Will you to your power cause Law and Justice, in Mercy, to be executed in all your judgements?
Luna: I will.
Archbishop: Will you to the utmost of your power maintain the Holy Laws of God and the true profession of the Gospel of Jesus Christ? Will you to the utmost of your power maintain in the Holy Empire of Carmonia the Christian Faith established by law? Will you maintain and preserve inviolably the settlement of the Holy Church of Christ, and the doctrine, worship, discipline, and government thereof, as by law established in Carmonia? And will you preserve unto the Bishops and Clergy of Carmonia, and to the Churches there committed to their charge, all such rights and privileges, as by law do or shall appertain to them or any of them?
Luna: I will.
An ecclesiastic presents a Bible to the Sovereign, saying:
"Here is Wisdom; This is the royal Law; These are the lively Oracles of God."
The Bible is presented, the Holy Communion is celebrated, but the service is interrupted after the Nicene Creed.
After the Communion service is interrupted, the crimson robe is removed, and the Sovereign proceeds to St. Artemis' Chair, which has been set in a most prominent position, wearing the anointing gown.
Once seated in this chair, a canopy is held over the Luna's head for the anointing.
Handel's "Zadok the Priest" begins to play. The Dean of Artemisium pours consecrated oil from an eagle-shaped ampulla into a spoon with which the Archbishop of Artemisium anoints the Empress on the hands, head, and heart.
The Lord Great Chamberlain presents the spurs, representing chivalry. Luna is then further robed, this time receiving bracelets and putting the Robe Royal and Stole Royal on top of the supertunica. The Archbishop then delivers several Crown Jewels to Luna. First, he delivers the Orb, a hollow golden sphere set with numerous precious and semi-precious stones. The Orb is surmounted by a cross, representing the rule of Jesus over the world; it is returned to the Altar immediately after being received. Next, the Sovereign receives a ring representing the "marriage" between him or her and the nation. Then, the Sovereign recieves the Sword of Artemis III, representing their duty to defend the Empire. It is then returned to the Altar. The Staff of the True Prince and the Sceptre with the Cross are delivered to the Sovereign.
As the Luna holds the two sceptres, the Archbishop of Artemisium places the Crown of St. Artemis on his head saying, "I crown thee Luna, Eleventh of your name, Empress of Carmonia, Queen of England and Ireland! God Save the Empress, God Save the Queen! The nobles and distinguished guests all shout the same.

UNITED COUNTIES OF MAINE DEFENSE NEWS WEEKLY

(Bath, UCoM): Today, Bath Iron Works Group announced the completion of three destroyers and a helicopter carrier. Two of the destroyers and the helicopter carrier are bound for Reserka to be commissioned by the Reserkan Navy to rebuild it's naval forces. The third destroyer is bound for Marzagrand.

Reserka is to be delivered another helicopter carrier and six more destroyers sometimes in the next 3 years. Marzagrand also has a substantial order for four more destroyers.

In other news, the UCoM Navy announced that the Pegasus battle carrier group has left for a standard patrol and training in the Gulf of Maine. The two destroyers, Jeremiah O'Brien and Benjamin Foster plus the battle carrier Pegasus replace the Galactica battle carrier group for patrolling Maine waters. The patrol hand-off comes on the heels of multiple incidents in the past six months with Massachusetts lobstermen and fishermen illegally fishing in Maine waters...

The Ministry of Defence has today announced a joint venture with the Ministry of Trade which aims to bring closer economic and military ties with Maine.
The two Ministries are currently lobbying the UCM government in the hopes of gaining a trade and defence agreement between the two nations. Under the agreement, an order of 4 Carraig-class small defence frigates for the Naval Service would be contracted to Bath Ironworks.

This would form the foundation of a wider defence agreement between the two nations.
In return, the Ministry of Trade hopes to secure a deal which will see 2 offshore defence vessels modelled off the Niamh-class constructed for the Navy of Maine at Seaguard, with an eye to furthering economic cooperation in the future.

A TRR source in the Ministry of Trade said that they were "very confident" of being able to reach a settlement.
