News Channel interviews the Queen
After a revolution in 1965, Carthage took back control over Tunisia and parts of Libya and Algeria. A King of Carthage was made by tracing ancient ancestry, although royalists elected the first King through tests of intelligence as well. This as to ensure only the smartest of ancient royal blood would be deemed modern royal blood. One of the things the King did was close all borders to preserve culture.
When the old King died, his daughter took over. Queen Elissa had kept the closed borders but overtime had combined modern technology with the fashion, art, language, and architecture styles of ancient Carthage. (Language was a difficult one though, while the majority of the population can now communicate in Punic, more people still speak Arabic.) Only now has she reopened borders. This is a strict border though. Only tourists staying for up to a week and those willing to accept what is now called, "New Carthage Culture" are allowed inside the country.
Carthage has officially invited all world leaders to Queen Elissa's palace in the capital city of New Carthage. The marble building has rooms for those wishing to stay in the allotted tourist time.
