LAND: This Mediterranean state is 56,501 square miles in size and comprised mostly of both high and lowland areas. The highlands tend to be temperate and cool years-round while the lowlands are arid to semi-arid and consist mostly of deserts. Along the coast, the climate will be tropical to sub-tropical depending on whether it is in high or lowland areas. A few volcano can be found along a plateau range that passes through a few lowland deserts. Most of these volcanos are not long active, though the increased amount of quakes found here often leads to small eruptions on the few remaining active volcanic plateaus.
