Can I make a thread like this?

Recently someone suggested I make a thread in the general forum asking for political advice. I want to ask for help with learning about political issues that I could address in my factbook. I also wanted to just go on the forum and ask for people's opinions. Like "what do you believe about prostitution and why?", so I could hear their opinion and think about it. Could I do that in the general forum?

Would still be gameplay, I think. Or you can just use the search function in general and look up any threads that might match up to an issue you're concerned with. You should be able to find pertinent threads pretty quick.

Part of what you're asking sounds precariously close to a "homework thread" or "Google thread." There are tools available to you online for stuff like that, and those threads are generally locked pretty quickly.

If, however, you would like to open a thread about particular topics of ideological discussion, that would belong in General. If it's about worldbuilding topics for a factbook, that would belong in Factbooks & National Information - namely this thread.
