Today, at officially 6:30 am, the Federation of Foederatarum Americae, or the Federation of United Americas, annexed their larger but far less powerful neighbor, the Tenochtitlan Republic. Foederatarum Americae, founded earlier this year during regional economic troubles, has gained massive ground and currently controls all of South America. Their annexation has gained them much more ground and they now control Central America and the Federation now enjoys unrestricted access to the Panama Canal Zone. The nation of Promethia to the north has deployed troops to the border of Tenochtitlan, and appear to be constructing defenses and even preparing to mobilize their own forces. It appears Tenochtitlan had heavy influence and support from the Promethian government, and the Pronethian state is very unhappy about the annexation, calling it illegal and demanding repatriations from the Foederatarum Americae. However, the Federation claims they went in at the invitation of revolutionaries and some government officials. Only time will tell of what will become of the situation.

"General Sanchez, our troop garrisons are in place and the geological survey team is searching for the silicon deposits now. Civilian workers have already been sent to the existing natural resource mines, extra troops have been placed along the border and canal zones." A federal soldier delivered his report to the commanding officer of the Federal Army in Tenochtitlan, General Miguel Sanchez. Sanchez read the typed report and took a second look at the objectives of his army: they were to secure the silicon deposits, as well as any other natural resource collection facility. The second objective was to install a more fed friendly government, and the third, classified objective was to provoke a war with the Promethians in the north. "Alright," Sanchez said to the soldier, "let's go to the Canal Zone, I wish to review our defenses."
