7:20, January 1, 2016 (2216 PA) - Misurugi City, Empire of Misurugi
The capital of Misurugi was crowded and snowy. It was New Years' Eve last year (2015/2215). The Misurugi Royal Family were awake when this happened.

The Prime Minister of Misurugi, George Takei, steps out in front of the public, ready for an announcement. Microphones are being shoved into his face and there are cameras everywhere, but he keeps his head straight. He stands in front of the bustling crowd of news reporters and curious citizens. To his left and right are royal guards. Behind him was screens showing near view of himself.

George Takei: "For too long, the Empire of Misurugi have gone with many changes such as Mana, MNC and space exploration. As many of you know, I am notorious for my care of genetically inferior beings, global peace and scientific progress. That's why I am officially announcing the creation of the Trans-Genetic Mind Program."

Cameras are blaring everywhere, and voices drown out his own. He waits until the police calms down the crowd.

George Takei: "Leader of this program is professor Hikaru Nash from the Misurugi National University."

He then hands over the speech to Hikaru Nash.

Hikaru Nash: "Greetings Misurugi! I am Hikaru Nash, leader of the TGMP. As its leader, I would like to discuss some of the projects we have coming up in the near future. First off, we have the Manaku Device, which will explore the outer reaches of our minds. This sounds crazy, but worth announcing. Finally, and perhaps a bold announcement, we also plan to manipulate our genes with the Mana Fluid!"

Cameras flash all over, news reporters yell questions out, Hikaru ignores them. After Hikaru's speech, George continued with more announcements. Hikaru went to a Mana-powered taxi.

Hikaru Nash: "Please drive me back home. The MNU is closed today."

Then it took off with him.

7:55, January 1, 2016 (2216) - Neoshima, Empire of Misurugi
The Imperial Rule Management Alliance, a very Manacist, homophobic, racist and ableist party, held an Islamophobic rally in Neoshima. The ralliers were dressed in IJA-styled winter uniforms. On December 18, 2015 (2215), a Managodist priest named Manatron Alvin Sakuragi was stabbed to death by a Maggon of Islamic descent with a knife. The Maggon, whose name is Abu Damul, was pleaded not guilty due to the priest being rude to him. The IRMA ralliers held signs saying "Death to Mussies (an Islamophobic slur)" and "Justice for Manatron Alvin Sakuragi". They would even attack Muslims on the street, vandalize the local mosque and threatening the priest killer Abu with killing him and his family if he didn't confessed to the killing. The police were on scene with riot gears. Counter-demonstrators joined as well, but the police separated both sides from fighting each others. Yet, stones, bricks, bottles and snowballs were thrown. The rally never went anywhere at all with resistance and no sign of Abu and his family.

Morales, Novayan Federal Republic

Admiral Borealis Norsoutha, descendant of the legendary knight Salta Norsoutha and currently leader of the National Council for Peace and Order, watched as the transport plane carrying Matilda Simmons, Inquisitor (title for the leader of the HIC) of the Holy Inquisitorial Council and High Priestess (title for the Ellesian commander in chief) of the Ellesian Theocratic Armed Forces, arrives on the airport. Inquisitor Matilda exits the plane as she met with her Novayan counterpart and friend. "Matilda! You're here. I'm glad you came." He said as the two leaders walked.

"How was your day, Matilda? Mine's got busy." Admiral Borealis asked. "Well, it's been less stressful, but nothing matters." Inquisitor Matilda said. They walked towards a monorail transport and entered it as the transport began to head towards the secret underground metro system, Morales Metro 2. "Have you heard the news?" He asked. "Yes. It's as we fear. The Misurugian government has created the Trans-Genetic Mind Program. I find that like it's as if Science has done something more worst. Only two hundred percent worse." Matilda answered.

"I think Humanity is going down on a dark and sinful path that would result in them going to Hell, but I was curious what will happen if we take either the Mana Fluid or the Manaku Device." She pondered. "If I take any one of those, I'd like for someone to put lead into my brain." He responded to her. "That's just as bad, Borealis! I would lose you as a friend if I or another person did that!" Matilda told him. "Yeah, but it's the only thing." Borealis replied. "Matilda, would you think that a military exercise between the Novayan Federal Republic and the Ellesian Theocratic Republic should help train our troops?" He asked.

"I find that a good idea, but what should we call the binational military exercise?" Matilda asked. "Well, we'll call it the Freedom Turtle." Borealis proposed. "Okay, that will work." Then the monorail transport enters the tunnel.

12:50, January 1, 2016 - Spolingrad, Sovanian People's Republic
"What the hell!?" General Vladimir Kravchenko said after seeing the announcement of the TGMP. "This is genocide! Warn the General-Secretary and the rest of the Sovanian People's Army!" A message was sent to the communist government of Sovania and the SPA would close borders with the Empire of Misurugi to not let the MDs and MFs into Sovanian citizens.

13:00, January 1, 2016 (2216) - Misurugi City, Empire of Misurugi
"PM, the whole TGMP is a mistake! International outrage!" Deputy PM Rodrigo Yagura said to George Takei. "They think we are Manacist maniacs!"

"Calm down" said George to Rodrigo. "They are just misunderstanding the whole program. It is just domestic in Misurugi, not elsewhere."

Meanwhile, anti-TGMP movement called for an end to the TGMP.

The Novayan citizens talked much about the TGMP until the public address systems throughout the nation was then turned on and the radios changed from music, newsreports, and songs to Admiral Borealis' broadcast. "Attention, fellow citizens of the Federal Republic of Novaya! Admiral Borealis Norsoutha here, and I'd like to address what's going on in the world: Reactions to the Trans-Genetic Mana Program. Even though it would change us, I'd believe it's only for the Empire of Misurugi and Misurugi alone. Now, calm down. ALL OF YOU." Borealis spoke before shutting down the systems, returning the musics, newsreports, songs, etc. to the radios.

The Amanian Communion, a small state in southwestern Eporlon, florished despite heavy poverty and lack of technology. The state needed help.

He didn't care if he caused the second fire of Romana, he could just bribe the witnesses and rely on the protection of his gang for the rest. "Shame. I wanted to make this piece of shit suffer for what he did to Joey." He pulled his phone from his white trowser pockets.

"What if the Corelonas find out? Won't we be screwed?"

Franky chuckled. "You worry to much. And too late. We're already neck deep in this shit." He tapped his phone a few times, dialing the number. He frowned as he noticed blood on his sleeves. His knuckles still hurt. Say what you would about Pissaso Corelona, he was one tough bastard. But magic doesn't bring it's user back to life. "He may be a Goodfella, but Pissaso will still sink if we tie bricks to his ankles. No one will notice another corpse in the Tabir river."

World News
Another surprising development in the Maremaian Gang Crisis. A wedding in Maremaia was suddenly attacked by unknown assailants. Luckily no one was killed, however the wedding was between suspected members of two of the most prominent gangs in Maremaia, the Corelona and the Sytines, and both gangs leaders supposedly were in the line of fire. The Groom of the wedding has also gone missing, the heir to the Corelona family fortune Pissaso Corelona, eldest of Julio Corelona. People are already predicting a gang war will break out of this.

Romana Capital Building
"This is bad. Very bad. End of everything bad." Muttered the Head of Public security. "I knew this would happen. Let the gangs run riot and we get gang wars."

"What were we to do? The President himself is taking bribes from gangsters." The Romana police cheif spoke. "We can't make any move against them without putting our necks on the chopping blocks. He's fired anyone on his staff whom has had any anti gang sentiments. We can't even impeach him because half of the senate is in the pockets of the crime lords."

There was a pause as both men look to the special inteligence branch leaders: Leonario Devancino. Perhaps the last hope of the anti-gang underground movement.

"Gentlemen. Do not panic." He spoke. "This war may be just what we need. The Gangs only have any influence in the senate because they work together when it comes to blocking legislation that may hurt them, but if they are distracted by the war, they won't think nearly clear enough to stop all the legislation we may be able to get through." He spoke, a charming smile on his face as always. "Legislation we can use to leverage against the gangs. Wartime, my friends. may be the perfect time to sow the seeds of their downfall." He paused, allowing them to mull over his plan.

"Imagine it..." He spoke. "A country without the gangs. We may be able to beat them once and for all here."

January 2, 2016 - North Haziristan, Islamic Republic of Takistan
4th Infantry Regiment and 5th Infantry Regiment of the Misurugi Army was having a firefight with a local Taliban brigade in northern Haziristan. The Taki military was late, so the two regiments had to fight on their own. They can't use Mana due to excessive shots from the Taliban side, making communication impossible in such an extreme shooting.

January 2, 2016 (2216) - Misurugi City, Empire of Misurugi
The Misurugi government was prepared for the visit from Novaya. They order soldiers to stand modest and well-armed when the delegates arrived.

3 Hours Later

"Attention, tower! This is Kestrel 15, Admiral Borealis Norsoutha's personal aircraft. We're going to land." The pilot of Kestrel 15 said as it began to head towards the Misurugi City International Airport runway. The aircraft began to land on the runway. Inside, Admiral Borealis Norsoutha waits for the whole plane to stop as he plays his PlayStation Vita. Once the whole thing stops, Admiral Borealis Norsoutha saved his game and turns it off before heading towards the plane door. A Novayan Marine Corps officer salutes as he opens the door for the Admiral. Admiral Borealis, inhaling and then exhaling, walked out of the plane as he makes a salute. Walking down the escalators, he would expect to meet a Misurugian government official for the purpose of a few things he had in mind: strengthening relations between the Novayan Federal Republic and the Empire of Misurugi, the signing of some pacts between the two nations, and plans that would benefit the two nations.

The Internal Affair Minister Gendo Henderson and MCPD officers arrived and greeted the Admiral.
"It is great to have you here in Misurugi" said Gendo. "It is a huge power, right?"

The 23 year old Admiral nodded. "Yeah. It's quite a superpower, I see." He said. "Well, I'm Admiral Borealis Norsoutha, 23 year old Mana user and leader of the National Council for Peace and Order. Glad to meet you, Interior Minister." Admiral Borealis shook his hand. "Well, I came here for the purpose of strengthening the relations between our nations and present some plans that would benefit the Novayan Federal Republic and the Empire of Misurugi." Admiral Borealis said. "And the Ellesian Theocratic Republic, also." He added. "But I will disclose the plans once we're at the capital building or the Misurugi Royal Family household or something."

While the Internal Minister led the Admiral to the car that ran on Mana, a huge anti-Novayan protest by IRMA broke out outside the Misurugi Royal Airport. The protesters burned the flag of Novaya and demanded that the Treacherous Admiral should go home to his Treacherous Homeland. The police that blocked the protesters consisted of the Misurugi Royal Guard with Mana shields, batons, pistols and rifles.
"Ignore the protest" Gendo said to the Admiral. "They are just on bad mood when you arrived."

"I see. I might bring in a company or platoon of heavily-armed, heavily-equipped, and heavily-armored troops to escort me if the IRMA would try harming me." Admiral Borealis said. "What? My train of thoughts' like that." He told him. "No offense, comrade. And also, please tell the IRMA that Novaya has fought against Nazi Enderant. We hated Nazism." He added.

"I see. I might bring in a company or platoon of heavily-armed, heavily-equipped, and heavily-armored troops to escort me if the IRMA would try harming me." Admiral Borealis said. "What? My train of thoughts' like that." He told him. "No offense, comrade. And also, please tell the IRMA that Novaya has fought against Nazi Enderant. We hated Nazism." He added.

"Okay" the Internal Minister said. "But we need to get to the car now."
Both stepped into the Mana-capable car and it drove away with the IRMA ralliers left behind with the blockading MRG.

"So, may I ask where are we heading?" He asked as he turns his PS Vita on to continue playing his favorite game.

"We were going for the Misurugi Royal Palace, but IRMA is quietly not friendly towards you and your people, so they are constantly protesting for you to leave Misurugi or they uses violence" Gendo said. "However, police and military is still countering the protests with success."

"Why is that? Do they think we're Nazis even though we actually thought against Nazi Enderant?" Borealis asked as he continued playing his game. "They need to lay off their stuffs before they do more harm than good." He added.

"I see. I'll prepare an army to overthrow the IRMA if they dare to even lay a finger on the Misurugian government." Admiral Borealis said, saving his game again.

General-Secretary Imran Zakhaev was prepared to leave for the Empire of Misurugi when Vladimir Kravchenko showed up.
"My Secretary, are you going away to our enemy?!" Vladimir said.
"Yeah, it's a diplomatic mission" Imran said before entering the Mana-capable VTOL.

"So, may I ask who got the idea for this Mana-capable vehicle?" He asked.

"I see. So, what do you think of our aircraft?" He asked. "We have the X-02 Wyverns, ADFX-1 Morgans and its variants, and the CFA-44 Nosferatus." He told him. "You can go thank some Sovanians who left their nation to stay in Novaya since the UPR fell. And don't tell the communists, okay?"

"I see. So, what do you think of our aircraft?" He asked. "We have the X-02 Wyverns, ADFX-1 Morgans and its variants, and the CFA-44 Nosferatus." He told him. "You can go thank some Sovanians who left their nation to stay in Novaya since the UPR fell. And don't tell the communists, okay?"

"Sovania is still both communist and hostile to Misurugi" Gendo said. "Sovania never fell."
