(The link to the IC thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=374860)

The universe began as a vast expanse of nothingness. There was no black void, for black in itself did not even exist. It's something that is hard for a mortal mind to wrap around, but then again, the first beings were not mortal. In the never ending nothingness, there was a bright orb, a collection of a fine gold powder which was no larger than an eyeball. For reasons unknown, this ball orb, and the powder, heavily condensed within it, was blown across all corners of this new existence. The process was a long one, it took years, centuries, millenia, a period of time so long that even beings of immortality would find themselves long since withered away. Yet, whenever this dust managed to group up within the infantile void of space, it created something miraculous. A god.

Not just any god, but a wise, sagely being who knew how to manipulate the dust around him and with it, create. Stars, planets, and even the swirling vortexes of a black hole were all birthed from the elder's fingertips. However, for all of his wisdom and knowlege, the Great Sage knew not how to create one thing: Life. It was this flaw in his being that drew the Great Sage to madness, and eventual suicide. He drove a blade into his heart, and from his wounds, the same Stardust of his creation began to leak out into the void.

These clouds of dust floated around a blank planet, an unfinished grey sphere floating around in space. Some were faster than others, but eventually, the clouds began to condense. When they did, new beings were born. New gods, none of them even a fraction as powerful as the Great Sage, but gods with the power of creation all the same. They met around this blank world, which was dubbed Canvas. Together, they discussed what would be done with it. That, is where our story begins.

OOC
Hello everyone! So, as you can tell by the introduction, this is a roleplay where you players will be taking up the roles of gods, yes, gods! Your jobs will be to work together to craft the world of Canvas into something beautiful, or maybe even hideous! Will your gods work together to build up the world? Or will they feud and ultimately destroy it? The decision is put into your hands!

However, before we get into literal godmodding, let's go over a few ground rules:

1. The IC thread will be for roleplay, and the OOC one for applications and discussion. Please don't mix the two.
2. There will be no flaming or excessive hate speech on the IC or OOC threads.
3. The general time period (at least for the mortals) of this roleplay is tribal/medieval. How fantastical or realistic it is will be dependent on player decisions.
4. No nukes, WMDs, or what have you. Nothing that can destroy everything with a single strike will be tolerated.
5. You will put "Prepare the Battle Cattle" in your application under the rules section.
6. In order to keep the roleplay on track, try not to have gods travelling to distant planets just for the sake of it. It tends to get everyone scattered everywhere. That's no fun.
7. You are allowed one god, that's it. If you're unhappy with your decision and wish to change the fundamentals of your god character, talk to me so I can make adjustments.
8. I shouldn't even have to say this, but don't go out of your way to kill other people's characters. It's not fun, and excludes people from the roleplay.

You've read the rules? Really? You're sure? You're sure you're sure? Excellent! Now then, let's get to the application process!

Applications
Code: Select all
Name: (What am I supposed to call you?)
Realm: (God of light, fire, wealth, love, etc.)
Secondary Realm: (That's right, you get two! Make sure it fits along with your first one.)
Appearance: (Post an image depicting your god here, or write a fair description. Note that they can shapeshift, but this will be their primary form.)
Personality: (Are you naughty or nice?)
Other: (Anything I may have missed.)
Have you read the rules?:(I don't know. Have you?)

Here is an example application for clarification:

Name: Sohi
Realms: Trade and Treachery
Appearance: Cloud Comprised of Eyeballs
Personality: Often plays with civilizations, either by helping build alliances through trade or seeding doubt and treachery within mortal leaders. Always willing to negotiate with other gods, though this will not stop him from driving a hard bargain. Pirates, bookkeepers, and travelling merchants are in this beings blessings. This god has been known to give out gifts, often disguised as a deposed foreign nobleman, to mortals he find worthy of his direct blessing. This god demands no church, so instead his fallowers have been known to build statues to him inside trading posts or along trade routes. Tributes are left at or on his statues, often monetary, and those that steal these tributes before they are collected are cursed by this god.
Other: So, is this the rules section?

Name: Eis
Realm: Prosperity
Secondary Realm: The desert sands

Appearance: Eis typically takes the form of a young, androgynous teenage boy, lacking any gender defining features and carrying a voice that is just as androgynous. His skin in this form is a tan brown, and his hair a sandy blond colour, kept in a shaggy, shoulder length bob. His eyes are his most defining feature, as the right eye is a bright, shimmering sapphire blue whilst the left shimmers white like a diamond. These eyes are capable of shining brightly enough that he can blind lesser beings, though this onl occurs when he is angered greatly.

A thin, dust brown robe hangs loosely from his form, with sleeves long enough to obscure his hands entirely. He enjoys using these sleeves to spray sand down on worlds. His feet are not obscured by his robe, and are kept bare so that he can feel the sand below his feet if he chooses to walk amongst mortals.

Additionally, when travelling long distances Eis's form can break down into a cloud of sand, which he uses for rapid travel or when someone is in dire need of his intervention.

Eis does not have churches dedicated to him, but instead commands his faithful to construct towering spires in his name, and assigns blessed individuals to man these spires. They receive visions and communion from Eis, and serve as his speakers and messengers. Offerings are typically of gemstones, encased in clay pottery that is filled with sand. These offerings are left at the spires, where his speakers offer them up to him in exchange for their communion.

Other than these spires, Eis enjoys using his free time to walk amongst mortal men, observing their every day lives to find those he deems worthy to receive blessings and gifts. His kind nature forbids him from laying curses upon those he believes have done wrong, unless he is angered enough by someone's act that he loses control of himself momentarily.

Personality: He's as nice as nice can be. He just wants people to be happy.

Other: He's adorable, but you should know this since you've already met Eis. He also rarely harms, unless he has been angered enough to the point of snapping, in which case he can be prone to impressive feats of aggression.

Have you read the rules?: Yes Drak <3. Prepare the Battle Cattle!
If there's a possibility of traps, I'm probably going to play a trap.

Realm: Wisdom
Secondary Realm: Emptiness/Void
Appearance: Here
Personality: Salvat have no emotions per se to begin with, being born from two realms that forbid them. All he have closest to one is only his calmness, reserved way when speaking, and tendency to much prefer staying on his own realms watching the world rather than interacting with other gods or mortal. When approached with troubled beings or person searching for wisdom about their lives however, his wisdom side would take over, ready to bless them with his own wisdom or simply guide them to find their own. Oh, and he strictly pacifist.
Other: While he doesn't prefer neither the existance of church to him or not, his believer often make a small sections of their homes dedicated to him, making the believe more personal from one person to another than an organized religion. Can't say I'm not impressed. I mean, 16 times? I finished all the routes but that's it, they got pretty monotonous later on. Which one is your favourite one then? Mine is Fallout:NV, but only because the endings are just so varied each time you play a run and do something slightly different from the previous one.

To those interested, their is a fallout multiverse type rp I know of. Not sure if it's still up but the premise was pretty good. Different fallout universes we create we have characters thrown into the wasteland and see what happens. Like say if the nukes never dropped or the FEV virus actually worked.

Personality: Inuuk is a friendly God, who seeks to help humanity, often the object of humour from the other God's for his realm, he finds loneliness to be enjoyable, although he admires the God of the moon (as their realms go hand in hand) he communicates frequently with humans through dreams.
Other: There are churches devoted to Inuuk, usually his worshipers say prayers to him before going to sleep.
Have you read the rules?: It was a good read 10/10 would recommend. Prepare the battle cattle

Appearance: Because I love Bloodborne. Also her human form looks like a normal human female clothed in glowing white dress with her hair looking like it's dripping with blood.
Personality: She is quite amicable but she is just plain weird. She is mostly considered as a very unsettling example of a cloud cuckoolander but beneath all of her weirdness, her wrath is something as horrible as the horrors of the night.
Other: None I think
Have you read the rules?: Yes. Prepare the Battle Cattle

Tut tut, Gwyndolin is a way better Moon-based waifu.
If there's a possibility of traps, I'm probably going to play a trap.

Name: Crax
Realm: Darkness
Secondary Realm: Fear
Appearance:

Personality: Almost always calm and sombre Crax takes pleasure from instilling fear, cradling the emotion as it spreads through even the bravest of hearts. He spends his time managing darkness and creating new ways of conjuring fear.
Other: Those who worship Crax do so often in cults, dedicating their lives to spreading fear.
Have you read the rules?: Prepare the battle cattle
