The war to end all tyranny
The drums of war recoil as the cannons roar, and the rifles peel across the land of the free, and the home of the brave. In a surprise maneuver, rouge elements of the U.S Military, headed by Marine Commandant Robert Stull seizes control of the Capital, deposing the federal government in a Coup d'état, and declares a military-run, provisional government to in their words, restore the Republic.
Yet, for many states of the Union, from Massachusetts to Alabama seceded in a frenzy, forming their own independent republics, and even confederacies between the newly formed republics, out of disgust, and an unwillingness to live under the perceived tyranny of the military regime.
It has been weeks since the crisis, and from the ashes form new nations, ready to seek foreign recognition, yet, like the war over 150 years ago, Stull is unwilling to just let them go. As time goes on, border conflicts, small skirmishes and the occasional enfilade takes place as all factions seize their own military installations and recruit members of the former army and beyond, with members of the former outside of Stull's jurisdiction largely deserting to their state government. As war looms closer, this may supersede the American Civil War, the deadliest conflict in US History, and this time, there it is with no end in sight.
Yet, with this no end in sight, Uncle Sam exerts his war cry, for the sons and daughters of Columbia to rise to the occasion, and prove their strength, their resolve, and their composure
