THIS IS A REVIVAL OF 2016: ANOTHER A CLASH OF NATIONS.
Because I'm Never Gonna Give You Up!

The year is 2016 but things are different...

World War II never happened but Nazi Germany still fell.

In the year 1991, the West Russians adopted a different ideology to the East, the East were infuriated by this and with the help of Japan (Japan doesn't share East Russia's ideology but they thought it would be best if they split.), the USSR split up into East Russia (All of Siberia with the exception of the Kamchatka Peninsula) and West Russia (European Russia & Ukraine)

But due to tensions in the USA, it split up into:

The Republic of Texas (Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, New Mexico, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina)

The United Republics of California (California, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, Utah) otherwise known as the URC

Alaska (Alaska)

The Republic of North America (Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Canada) which was formerly known as the Democratic States of America until it merged with Canada.

United Republic of Columbia (Kentucky Fried Chicken, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Missouri, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Ohio, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire) otherwise known as the URC

Each of the 5 nations got a fair share of the former USA's resources.

East and West Russia got a fair share of the former USSR's resources.

International Law (Rules)

No Godmodding.

You may roleplay as an organisation.

You can't create a country that claims former US territory, you can choose to play as one of the 5 new nations though.

You can't create a country that claims former USSR country, you can choose to play as one of the 2 new nations though.

Be realistic about your nation, Mexico couldn't magically conquer Spain, Portugal and New Zealand and even if it did, it would be difficult to control such a widespread nation.

No uber-massive empires. In a nutshell: YOU CAN'T OWN AN ENTIRE FUCKING CONTINENT!

The Falklands are British, end of.

You may claim Antarctica but not all of it, maximum claim of Antarctica is 30km (The Penguin Post office belongs to Britain)

Notify me or a Co-Op via telegram (or OOC thread) about absences, this MUST be done at latest 3 days before absence.

If you have notified us, your nation will be cared for by myself or a Co-Op until you return.

2 days after un-notified absence and your nation will be cared for by myself or a Co-Op.

7 days after un-notified absence your nation will be left and it's fate will be sealed.

If your nation hasn't been obliterated by other nations after 14 days of un-notified absence, your nation will be annexed and declared as property of the National Unity Committee (until someone else creates a nation that uses some of the former land)

If you are creating a new nation on top of a former nation's territory that has been seized by the National Unity Committee for inactivity, please incorporate the collapse of the former nation into your history.

While other nations rose and fell, the Hellenic Kingdom stood strong, never invading or going to war - a very unusual stance for a nation to take at these times. Instead it focused on growing a large economy and advancing scientifically, which is why the Hellenic Kingdom is regarded as one of the world's greatest places to live. History: During the 1950's, a revolution against Portugal was led by Nikolai Hetokla. After the long and bloody war, Namibia came out the winner. For years after that, Namibia helped South Africa, Botswana, and Angola get freedom from their former owners, taking them out of Colonies, and adopting them into Namibia. In 1995, Nikolai tried to lead a communist revolt. That failed, but not without the death of a million citizens. Nikolai was executed, and A democratic government was prve to be strong. James Smith was setup as a figurehead (As the leading general a of the Civil war) Nikolai's son was elected Prime Ministe. The distrust between John Smith and Cassius slowly grows into the government spliting into two parties.

The Republic was born in the early years of the Renaissance, in the city of Milan under the Golden Ambrosian Republic. The city overcame its rivals in Northern Italy through superior strategy and the designs of Leonardo da Vinci. Their first target was the neighboring city state of Genoa, whose position was strategic and important to their future survival. The Genoese army was crushed in a series of decisive engagements known as the Ligurian Battles. With Genoa subdued, the fledgling Republic faced down the forces of Venice and Tuscany, in a long, bitter stalemate for several years, until a revolution in Florence forced the ruling families to capitulate to deal with internal problems. The full might of the Republic turned to their most powerful remaining northern rival: Venice. By now the cities of Tuscany had been fighting each other and the cities of Lucca and Pisa sent to for help from the Republic. The cities received an ultimatum: Join the Republic or stand alone. The city leaders hurriedly agreed, reasoning that life would be better under the Republic than under the Florentines. The Republic's armies were once more entrenchend on Tuscan soil, and they fought a slow, grinding war to Florence. They eventually took the city, but without heavy casualties. What was once Tuscany was no more.The powerful nation fended off its enemies for hundreds of years until it was able to seize upon an opportunity and attacked a weakened Piedmont. The Piedmontese put up a valiant fight, but they were defeated outside Turin, and the city fell to the forces of the United Republic of Lombardy-Venezia. Socialist and communist uprisings occurred after the First World War, in which the Republic remained neutral. The rise of fascism in the North worried its leaders, who contemplated war. The eventual collapse of the Nazi Reich began a Golden Age of trade and prosperity, which has continued to this day.

History:

The Incan Empire was conquered by Pizarro in the 1530s and was ruled by the Spanish for over two centuries. However, the native population proved very resistant to religious change. Every few decades a new revolt would spring up and require the Spanish to keep large numbers of soldiers in the colony preventing them from being used elsewhere. This caused a great deal of friction as the in and out state of warfare in the Andean regions of Spanish rule led to disease to spread quickly and decimate the population so much that by 1680, the last great Incan revolt was put down by a dwindling Spanish garrison and a deal was cut by the weakening Spanish Crown.

5000 Quechua stormed the city of Cusco and raised a flag declaring the Incan Empire reborn. This was met with brutal retaliation. 10,000 Spanish Soldiers from Argentina and another 6000 from New Grenada invaded the region with the intent of putting down the rebels. Out flanked, the small army was quickly defeated, but its impact on the armies of the Spanish was evident. The 5000 split up into two groups, 1500 north and 3500 south. Both armies fell, but inflicted enormous casualties on the Spanish colonial armies. Because of this the Spanish crown granted the people of the Peruvian Colony to have freedom of Religion and promised to stop sending missionaries into the colony if they stopped revolting. An agreement was struck and the christian missionaries sent by Spain pulled out of the colony and focused elsewhere.

In 1701, when the War of Spanish Succession was taking place, the people of Peru chose to remain neutral and pledged to follow whichever King emerged victorious. However, as the war intensified and was turning into a money pit, both sides started courting the now nearly autonomous colony's assistance in securing the Spanish Colonial territories in exchange for increased territory for the colony and more freedoms. They agreed and an army of 25,000 was raised from the Colony and sent south to Secure the Patagonian plains while another army of 10,000 was sent to secure New Grenada.

Both armies were successful and by war's end, the new borders were established well south and north of the former lands of the now nearly Autonomous Region of Peru. And it remained as such for the next hundred years as Spanish influence and power declined, the power of Peru grew until they made a formal request. Full Autonomy and restoration of the name Tawantinsuyu in the year 1792. This was initially resisted by the crown, as they saw it as a precursor to an independence movement. However, with France starting its Revolutionary Wars against Austria, Spain cannot afford to cause friction between it and its most powerful colony. As such, Tawantinsuyu is granted full Autonomy but will remain within the Spanish Empire and pay taxes to the Spanish crown.

This was cause for much celebration as it exempted the colony from sending soldiers to Spain to fight first against the French, and then later for the French. During this turnover however, the people of Tawantinsuyu had realized how weak the Spanish were abroad and decided that they could not simply switch sides in such a major conflict. A meeting was held in Cusco where all known descendants of the two former Ruling families of the Inca were gathered to decide on a new Sapa Inca. In the end, Atahualpa II was crowned as Sapa Inca of Tawantinsuyu. Shortly after, an army was raised and a declaration of Independence was sent to Spain declaring them to be free of Spanish Rule. This was met by a combined Spanish-French army landing in New Grenada to march upon the new Kingdom. However, as the army entered the Northernmost regions of the Kingdom disaster struck them as first a large convoy of supplies was lost in a mountain pass as a late spring snow in May of 1807. The second disaster was the Incan army marching on them while they were trying to recover supplies. 45,000 French and 12,000 Spanish Troops were either killed or captured by the Incan armies.

As soon as this became evident, the other colonies began their revolt in 1808 and by 1820 all Spanish Influence had been removed from Tawantinsuyu for good. Supportive of its new neighbors, Tawantinsuyu continued the fight. In the year 1825, the Spanish finally caved in after the battle of Ayachuo and granted independence to New Spain, which became Mexico, New Grenada, which became Gran Colombia, and Rio de la Plata which became the nations of Uruguay, Argentina, Paraguay, and Chile. The battle was particularly bloody with the enormous armies fielded by the Tawantinsuyu Kingdom, the Spanish had to send additonal forces to try and put an end to the revolts once and for all. The Spanish General, Viceroy la Serna had to call for reinforcements from Spain the year before. An impressive army for both sides was fielded with 35,000 on the side of the Revolutionary forces and 33,000 on the side of the Spanish Loyalists. The battle ended when the Viceroy was wounded in action, however, Sapa Inca Atahualpa II was slain in battle and his son and heir, Pachacuti II, rose to the throne from the battlefield.

In the years that followed, Tawantinsuyu fought several wars with its neighbors losing territory to Gran Colombia only to have it collapse into several smaller states. It did however, successfully defend against a Brazilian invasion and an Argentine invasion in the mid 1850s. By the time of the first world war, Tawantinsuyu had grown to great strength declaring a protectorate over the Galapagos Islands as a Wildlife preserve and claiming several Pacific Islands including Rapa Nui which it promptly colonized. Tawantinsuyu remained neutral for the first part of the war until 1917 when the United States and Brazil entered the war against Germany regarding its unrestricted Submarine warfare. As a result, 50,000 Incans fought in Europe and another 10,000 in the Pacific island hopping across the German Pacific Colonies and in German Africa.

The next century saw stability in Tawantinsuyu as it only rarely would flex its military muscle. A colonial revolt in the captured German territories in 1926 move Parliament enough that they petitioned the Sapa Inca to release them as an independent nation. Which, to the credit of the former colonial status of Tawantinsuyu, he did. Relations with Brazil have grown strong in the last twenty years just as relations with Argentina and Colombia have soured. In 2005, a near war between Brazil and Argentina threatened to bring Tawantinsuyu and Colombia into a war as well. The war was de-escalated and soon relations normalized again. Now in 2016, Tawantinsuyu and Brazil are the undisputed most powerful nations in South America. However, the rising threat overseas brings the possibility of war to South America once again.

TL:DR - The Incan Empire Fell, rose to colonial prominence, achieved independence, fought some wars with neighbors and participated in WW1, and now is a wealthy and powerful South American Kingdom with warm relations with Brazil and cold relations with Colombia and Argentina.

A colonial revolt in the captured German territories in 1926 move Parliament enough that they petitioned the Sapa Inca to release them as an independent nation. Which, to the credit of the former colonial status of Tawantinsuyu, he did. Relations with Brazil have grown strong in the last twenty years just as relations with Argentina and Colombia have soured. In 2005, a near war between Brazil and Argentina threatened to bring Tawantinsuyu and Colombia into a war as well. The war was de-escalated and soon relations normalized again. Now in 2016, Tawantinsuyu and Brazil are the undisputed most powerful nations in South America. However, the rising threat overseas brings the possibility of war to South America once again.

TL:DR - The Incan Empire Fell, rose to colonial prominence, achieved independence, fought some wars with neighbors and participated in WW1, and now is a wealthy and powerful South American Kingdom with warm relations with Brazil and cold relations with Colombia and Argentina.

The Incan Empire was conquered by Pizarro in the 1530s and was ruled by the Spanish for over two centuries. However, the native population proved very resistant to religious change. Every few decades a new revolt would spring up and require the Spanish to keep large numbers of soldiers in the colony preventing them from being used elsewhere. This caused a great deal of friction as the in and out state of warfare in the Andean regions of Spanish rule led to disease to spread quickly and decimate the population so much that by 1680, the last great Incan revolt was put down by a dwindling Spanish garrison and a deal was cut by the weakening Spanish Crown.

5000 Quechua stormed the city of Cusco and raised a flag declaring the Incan Empire reborn. This was met with brutal retaliation. 10,000 Spanish Soldiers from Argentina and another 6000 from New Grenada invaded the region with the intent of putting down the rebels. Out flanked, the small army was quickly defeated, but its impact on the armies of the Spanish was evident. The 5000 split up into two groups, 1500 north and 3500 south. Both armies fell, but inflicted enormous casualties on the Spanish colonial armies. Because of this the Spanish crown granted the people of the Peruvian Colony to have freedom of Religion and promised to stop sending missionaries into the colony if they stopped revolting. An agreement was struck and the christian missionaries sent by Spain pulled out of the colony and focused elsewhere.

In 1701, when the War of Spanish Succession was taking place, the people of Peru chose to remain neutral and pledged to follow whichever King emerged victorious. However, as the war intensified and was turning into a money pit, both sides started courting the now nearly autonomous colony's assistance in securing the Spanish Colonial territories in exchange for increased territory for the colony and more freedoms. They agreed and an army of 25,000 was raised from the Colony and sent south to Secure the Patagonian plains while another army of 10,000 was sent to secure New Grenada.

Both armies were successful and by war's end, the new borders were established well south and north of the former lands of the now nearly Autonomous Region of Peru. And it remained as such for the next hundred years as Spanish influence and power declined, the power of Peru grew until they made a formal request. Full Autonomy and restoration of the name Tawantinsuyu in the year 1792. This was initially resisted by the crown, as they saw it as a precursor to an independence movement. However, with France starting its Revolutionary Wars against Austria, Spain cannot afford to cause friction between it and its most powerful colony. As such, Tawantinsuyu is granted full Autonomy but will remain within the Spanish Empire and pay taxes to the Spanish crown.

This was cause for much celebration as it exempted the colony from sending soldiers to Spain to fight first against the French, and then later for the French. During this turnover however, the people of Tawantinsuyu had realized how weak the Spanish were abroad and decided that they could not simply switch sides in such a major conflict. A meeting was held in Cusco where all known descendants of the two former Ruling families of the Inca were gathered to decide on a new Sapa Inca. In the end, Atahualpa II was crowned as Sapa Inca of Tawantinsuyu. Shortly after, an army was raised and a declaration of Independence was sent to Spain declaring them to be free of Spanish Rule. This was met by a combined Spanish-French army landing in New Grenada to march upon the new Kingdom. However, as the army entered the Northernmost regions of the Kingdom disaster struck them as first a large convoy of supplies was lost in a mountain pass as a late spring snow in May of 1807. The second disaster was the Incan army marching on them while they were trying to recover supplies. 45,000 French and 12,000 Spanish Troops were either killed or captured by the Incan armies.

As soon as this became evident, the other colonies began their revolt in 1808 and by 1820 all Spanish Influence had been removed from Tawantinsuyu for good. Supportive of its new neighbors, Tawantinsuyu continued the fight. In the year 1825, the Spanish finally caved in after the battle of Ayachuo and granted independence to New Spain, which became Mexico, New Grenada, which became Gran Colombia, and Rio de la Plata which became the nations of Uruguay, Argentina, Paraguay, and Chile. The battle was particularly bloody with the enormous armies fielded by the Tawantinsuyu Kingdom, the Spanish had to send additonal forces to try and put an end to the revolts once and for all. The Spanish General, Viceroy la Serna had to call for reinforcements from Spain the year before. An impressive army for both sides was fielded with 35,000 on the side of the Revolutionary forces and 33,000 on the side of the Spanish Loyalists. The battle ended when the Viceroy was wounded in action, however, Sapa Inca Atahualpa II was slain in battle and his son and heir, Pachacuti II, rose to the throne from the battlefield.

In the years that followed, Tawantinsuyu fought several wars with its neighbors losing territory to Gran Colombia only to have it collapse into several smaller states. It did however, successfully defend against a Brazilian invasion and an Argentine invasion in the mid 1850s. By the time of the first world war, Tawantinsuyu had grown to great strength declaring a protectorate over the Galapagos Islands as a Wildlife preserve and claiming several Pacific Islands including Rapa Nui which it promptly colonized.
