Multiverse Hunger Games (IC, OPEN)

Postby Osnil » Sun Jan 31, 2016 6:36 pm

OOC
The Guild Alliance's Unseen Overlord announced over a microphone to the sponsors gathered in the massive room filled with stalls for purchasing items and computers to research things, "Let the Multiverseral Hunger Games Begin! You have 1 day to research your tributes that have been given to you in a piece of paper and write the letter that will lead to either the survival or untimely death of your tributes. And may the odds be ever in your favor"

Harold Jones looked on his list-Neopolitan and Sherlock. Interesting choices-if they can work together, Harold noted. One with power, the other with perception. Perfect, but now to the letter,
Dear Tribute,
You have been chosen to be in the 1st Multiverse Hunger Games. Your goal is to either kill off or outlast the other competitors. You'll be lucky enough to have an ally also chosen to represent Guild Alpha. Who am I? I'm the guy who keeps you alive by sending you stuff. Good luck, and may the odds be ever in your favor.
Harold

Game-maker's Room
Deep under the room where the sponsors gathered, the Game-makers-Hades, Rumplestiltskin, Davy Jones, and Glados recieved a message from the Overlord, "Is everything ready for the first Multiverseral Hunger Games?"
"Aye, 'tis ready for cast off," Davy Jones nodded, with one foot in a bucket of water.
"Everything is ready for Games, Dearie," Rumplestiltskin agreed.
"Hades, is the map ready? Glados, are you ready to be our announcer?" asked the Overlord.

Game-Makers room
Hades was using an astral form due to his large size, and GLaDOS was speaking over a video chat of sorts. Hades smiled. "You betcha! Our friends are going to have a very bad time!" He said. Then it was GLaDOS' turn to speak. "I think you'll find me more then ready for this experiment to begin. However you should know that giving them advice on how to win is... less than a priority for me." She said, her cold robotic voice showing no signs of mercy.

Gamemaker's Room
"Don't let personal feelings get in the way of Gamemaking, Hades," the Overlord stated, "and dearest Glados, I do not need you to advise them. We only need a semi-funny announcer for the viewers to make fun of in the Alliance."
Sponsor's Room
The Overlord made one more announcement, "I would like to announce the entrance of the Restran Guild. Sadly the tributes must be assigned to other Guilds since the reapings are finished, but welcome Jason. Guild Alpha has Chara, and Guild Omega has Galen Marrik."

"Great," Harold thought to himself, "another tribute to babysit."

Felix
Felix sat in the small chair he had been assigned, reading over the small note that had been given to him explaining this years tributes. Over the years the Black Hand guild had seen many good and bad competitors, he was less than pleased with this years selection. Indiana Jones, a human from a normal human universe. Of course he wasn't a normal human, not entirely. He had a whip and a pistol, both of which would come in handy. The other was someone known as the doctor. He knew very little about the doctor, hopefully he wouldn't end up dead the first day. He pulled out a piece of paper, taking out a solid black pen before writing out the letter his tributes would receive.
Greeting's, you are the chosen tribute of the Black Hand guild. My name is Felix Volkov, i am your sponsor. I will be the man helping you survive against those who seek to utterly destroy you. However i must also keep alive another tribute. You must find this tribute at the start of the games, it will be essential to your survival. Our tributes are Indiana Jones and The Doctor. With that i'll end the letter, expect further updates during the games. Try not to die too quickly.

Predator
Predator sat on his ship, looking over his numerous hunting trophy's. Human's from around earth, several different other species, a few other predator's, animals. He caressed one particular skull, it had taken him three days and all of his companions, but he had claimed this trophy. Now here he was, waiting to be transported to a world with twelve warriors, all for the hunting. He would be taking plenty of trophy's in the coming days, he was certain of it. In the interest of sport, he would neglect to bring all his weapons this time around. Only his arm blade and his mask would be brought. So this time around it would be purely melee. He stood up, examining the mask. He would have a partner according to the people who selected him, he wouldn't be carrying any pathetic creatures weight, however he could tolerate it's presence, he supposed.

Dexter
Dexter sat in his packing his kill bag. Five doses of M99, the tranquilizer he had used to many times before in order to knock out his victims. They had all deserved it, he felt nothing when he killled. But now thing's were different, soon he would be whisked away somewhere to kill people he had no prior knowledge of. He didn't really have a choice either, the people who had chosen him had made that quite clear. Should he be afraid? Probably, but he didn't get afraid. He had no emotion's, that was a fact of his life. There would be no chance of being arrested for his crimes, and he would have to drop Harry's code for the moment. He would have to get through this, unfortunately he wouldn't be bringing his blood slides. He didn't want to risk them being destroyed.

Indy
Indiana Jones shook his head as he read the letter. He had been chosen to compete in some Games for a Black Hand Guild. He would have to fight eleven other tributes or outlast them. He, however, would go prepared. Putting on his vest, his satchel, his hat, and getting his pistols and whip, he prepared himself.

Seiyuki frowned, looking at her list.

Sans and Papyrus? She didn't really know who those were.

But hey! That would make it more interesting, now wouldn't it? Knowing everything was boring. Basic knowledge was that they were skeleton brothers--she thought.

She'd have to write a letter.

Tribute:

Welcome to the Multiversal Hunger Games! You've got a partner, you'll know them when you see them--they should be quite familiar to you. Do try to stay alive, would you? I do hate losing. I'll try to help but mostly you're on your own! Why? Because it's more fun that way!

What? What?!

The Doctor dropped the note in shock.

Some death game? Someone expects me to participate in some deadly game... as a 'tribute'? With guilds? ...This sounds oddly familiar. Must be something I encountered on some planet, maybe a religion? Tributes to some death god?

Oh, no. I'm going to find all these 'tributes' and I'm going to get us all out of here.

As Chara finishes reading the letter they set it down and stares thoughtfully towards the end of the hallway. They had finally beaten that nuisance skeleton and the way forward was clear. To their surprise though a letter in a tightly sealed envelope had appeared before them immediately after their victory. Tapping the bloodstained kitchen utensil thoughtfully against their thigh Chara muses on their next move. They could continue forward and claim the souls Asgore had gathered... Or they could claim whatever souls there might be in this tournament. Smiling to themselves as they reached their decision Chara made their way back towards the end of the hall and tapped on the slightly glowing box. The box sat there silently for a moment, as if judging them for their sins. Chara couldn't help but feel a slight shiver of relief run down her back as the box emitted a slight beeping sound almost like a long held in sigh finally being released. It was done. Regardless of what happened in this tournament she would never have to face that skeleton- "Say it." A voice in Chara's head interrupted their thoughts angrily. "It's the least he deserves." Chara paused briefly as if pondering the voices request before a malicious smile overtakes their face. "Sans." Chara says quietly "He's gone. It's over." Glancing back down the hallway as if to reassure them self of this Chara felt a chill run down their back as they saw there was nothing remaining, not even the skeleton's bloodstained jacket.

Jacob hated this. he never supported the games, but he always kept his mouth shut about them, not risking his life. So he sat down at his desk and prepared a letter to his tributes. Emerald Sustrai, Dexter Morgan, and Galen Marrik. he knew about Galen, but the others... well... he'd get to that.
My fellow beings. It is with mixed feelings I send you this letter. you've been chosen to fight in an arena of the Multiverse, in which only a few will survive. I know not when you will be taken there, but whenever it is, I wish you luck.

Jacob hated this. He really did.

Meanwhile...
"Sans! Quickly brother! Wake up! there is something most troubling going on!" Papyrus exclaimed, as he burst into his house, in an attempt to wake his sleeping brother Sans.

Fascinating. 'Hunger Games'? I wonder why it's called that... I don't like not knowing things. And I'll have an ally... John? Molly? ...Moriarty?... The only way to find out, I suppose... is to find them.

Sherlock grinned, turning up the collar of his coat. And killing people off? As in, murder? ...This will be fun.

Allison Sheridan

Gladiatorial Combat for Entertainment

What a load of shit.

Allison sighed and looked at her list. The Yautja would be a capable combatant, but the girl...

Hmm...

Why couldn't she get people who were familiar with each other? One of the other guilds had gotten brothers, for Christ's sake.

She sighed again, and began to type a letter.

Dear Tribute,
You have been selected for participation in the First Multiversal Hunger Games. Your participation is mandatory. You have been chosen to be entered under Guild Omicron. My Guild. I shall see to it, that you shall survive the coming trials. Be ever vigilant.

-Omicron Sponsor, A.S.

Emerald Sustrai and Neopolitan
The World of Remnant

Both girls looked at the letters. Antiquated messages for sure, but...

Both invited them to some sort of combat game. But neither were written the same way.

Were they on "opposing teams"?

It didn't matter. They'd win together, forget about anyone else.

General Peter Van Doorn
Lieutenant Major Glenn Friendly

Annabelle sat stumped for a moment as she looked at the two bolded names on her list. Pit and...batman? She sighed. I'm sure this'll be interesting... She proceeded to research the two she'd be sponsoring, looking up every detail that could possibly be found. When she was done, she proceeded to write up the letter she'd be sending to the two individuals.
Hello there!
I must inform you of your recent selection to be in the 1st Multiverse Hunger Games! My name is Annabelle Storms, and I'll be the individual helping you through these special Games! You and another individual, both tributes, will be representing my guild, Delta. Though you must rely almost entirely on your own skills, I will try to help you in as many ways as I can. Death is a large threat here, and many could be out to kill. I wish I could say more, but it's simply against the rules. Good luck in the Games, and I do hope you win...
Losing is never appreciated.

The best of luck,
A.S.

As she finished the letter and sent it/submitted it, she sighed. She certainly hoped these individuals could fight...

Sans slowly cracked open an eye, listening as his brother barged into the house. Why was he here..? He remembered...the kid...they'd killed him, hadn't they? They'd killed...everyone...
So why was he here? Was it all a dream? Was it all some nightmare? Maybe he restarted and simply didn't remember...maybe...
He sat up, deciding it was best not to linger on it. This was all real, surely. Perhaps they'd been given a second chance. And if so, did that mean the kid was the same? Were they still some sick genocidal monster, or were they different? It still didn't matter, in the end. Everything was okay, now. He sat up, shuffling over to his door and opening it. He peeked over to the first floor where Papyrus lingered. "Yeah, bro?" He asked, yawning. " 'sup?"

"You see I was out taking a walk, you know, to keep an eye out for humans? when all of a sudden this appeared in my hand with a flash of light!" He continued, holding up a letter.

"I've been invited to some sort of Hunger games. I'm not sure what it means but it says to stay alive, so it may be dangerous! however I, The Great Papyrus, am sure that I will be fine. Besides, it says its a Hunger games, perhaps I'll be feeding people my delectable spaghetti?" Papyrus said.

Skyworld
"A Hunger games?! Pit do you know what that means?!" Palutena, goddess of light asked. Pit looked grim. "Y-yeah... It means I'll have to kill people..." The angel muttered. Palutena was most disturbed by this. "Pit, I assure you. I'll do everything I can to keep you out of this. I promise you!" She said. Pit rushed to her arms. "Please! I dont want to hurt anyone! I'm used to just getting bad guys! but if this is anything like the books, then there could be innocent people there!" Pit exclaimed, a look of despair on his face.

Palutena just hugged the poor angel, it was all she could do.

Predator looked over the next letter hesitantly. He would be apart of the Omicron guild. There would be good hunting in this arena. He was sure of it, and he intended to take enough trophy's to honor himself and his comrades. He quickly examined his blade, carefully taking out the powerful explosive buried in the device. He figured there would be no point in blowing himself up, he didn't need to protect his technology against these people. These would be the ultimate trophy's, the strongest combatants the multiunivese had to offer. He could feel chills running along his back at the thought of tearing his prey apart, limb to limb. He would need to be prepared for anything.

Dexter continued to pack his bags, carefully stashing his syringes in the pocket's before putting in his knife roll. Freshly cleaned for the occasion. His heart was pounding, he had been selected for some sort of contest, a battle of sorts. It would be kill or be killed, and he didn't intend to die. He had survived so much already, he wouldn't waste his life so quickly.

"Sponsors, I have another announcement. We have four new tributes to involve due to a surplus. Guild Delta receives Sonic. Guild Zeta receives Kid Goku. Guild Black Hand receives Shadow. Guild Omicron receives Bulma. Happy Hunger Games!" announced the Overlord.

Batman
The Dark Knight looked about his invitation. . . to an Annual Slaughtering. Special Games? People thought this as entertainment? He was obviously chosen for a reason: Because he's Batman. He wouldn't kill anyone, but he would make sure to keep as many alive as he could.

He shrugged. "I dunno. Sounds interesting." He stuck his hands into his pocket, only to find an envelope residing in one of them. He pulled it out, flipping it open and reading it. "Heh, looks like I'm going too." He said, holding the note up for Papyrus to see. The fact that death was involved didn't really worry him, not for himself at least. He was more worried for his brothers' sake, as he knew he likely wouldn't know to fight back strong enough were there a threat. Like last time...

Elizabeth sighed, sitting high up in her golden tower among the books she'd read far too many times to count. How long would she sit here? How long would she stare out of this same window, wondering when she could possibly be free? As if the moment she thought this, a small envelope floated down into her hands. Curiously, the girl opened the letter, taking in every word. Multiverse Hunger Games..? She was confused, but soon realized this meant she would leave her imprisonment. She laughed, dancing around with the letter to her heart. "Oh, thank you! Thank you! I finally get to leave!" If only she knew what really awaited her...

"Really?! Wowie! You and me will be feeding people Sans! I cant wait for this!" Papyrus exclaimed, his permanent smile seemingly getting bigger.

Deros is waiting on you who's waiting on me who's waiting on Petro who's (I assume) waiting on the Soviet guy. It's a conga line of waiting and sadness up in here.

He nodded. "We're gonna feed a ton of people." He grinned. "A skele-ton." He knew that because killing was probably involved that these games were likely not about serving spaghetti or eating food, but he thought he'd play along anyways. There was no point getting his brothers hopes shattered when there was no guarantee he was wrong. Besides, he'd never do that to him...his brother was just too cool.

As soon as he said "ton" Papyrus knew what was coming. "Sans... no..." then the punchline. "SANS!" Papyrus exclaimed, scowling. Papyrus managed to compose himself. "Anyways we should get ourselves ready! Come Sans, we've spaghetti to make!" He continued, a smile of confidence on his face.

He smiled widely. "You know you love them." At the mention of spaghetti making, Sans shrugged."hey, you're the culinary expert here." He looked down at his wrist as if there were a watch when there was none. "Besides...I'm on my break." He grinned, heading down the stairs and settling himself on the couch. "Maybe I'll just take another nap..."

"I most certainly do not love them Sans. But you're right about one thing, The Great Papyrus is the best cook!" Papyrus said, his cape now blowing in the wind... even though there was none. At the mention of another nap, Papyrus glared. "Sans! you lazybones! What do I have to do to make you more active?! and what do you mean break? you're not even on patrol!" He said, his hands on his hips.

Sonic and Shadow read the letters they had received.

"Hunger Games... I've heard of that somewhere... Wait, we have to KILL our opponents?! I'll just run around and defeat people but not kill them..."

"The fact that you show mercy disgusts me. I'll make sure to end you when the games begin!"

The two hedgehogs headed off to the location of the games.

He shrugged, closing his eyes. " 'dunno, bro. Life's a patrol, gotta have a few good breaks for everyday you gotta go through that." He winked before closing his eyes again. "Besides, it's only for like, ten minutes bro. Don't sweat it..." He began to drift off again, almost without a care in the world...but that kiddo kept coming back to mind. What was their name..?
Chara.
It was Chara.

He wondered, just for a moment, what that murderous human was doing right now...

Sponsor's Center
Over the loudspeaker the glorious voice of the Overlord was heard once more, "Sponsors, a day has ended. The Games have begun. Happy Hunger Games."
Harold scrambled to his monitor to find the the map that had been chosen for his alliance-a Super Mario Galaxy map. Interesting. From the looks of it, it was the Good Egg Galaxy Starting Planet. From what he could see, there was a Luma on top of the house, and a Luma on the tower at the top. There were also two pipes-a Green One and a Golden one.
Starting Planet
All the tributes awoke on the Starting Planet-in front of a small house. Each was wearing a pin with the Guild Symbol on it to prevent confusion.

Batman looked around him-there was a house with a smiling star creature on top, or he could go to the other side of the planet, taking either of two bridges. First, his plan was to find his allies-hopefully wearing the same pin he was-the Delta Guild Symbol.

Indy looked around him, trying to get a good view of his surroundings. Seeing the top of the house, he launched his whip in that direction, trying to find his allies. Someone called the Doctor.

What? What?!

Pulling out his sonic screwdriver, the Doctor determined that this was not a planet he'd been to before.

Interesting.

And a pipe... He couldn't see what was on the other end.

Oh well. He'd just jump into it and find out.

"Geronimo!"
Where am I?

This place... It looks... fake. A setup...

Of course. This whole thing must be one of Moriarty's little games. Setting people up to kill each other is exactly the sort of thing he would do. Well. I'll play along.

I'm clever enough to win.

Starting Planet
The pipe the Doctor took teleported him to the other end of the arena. Much darker. THe dead trees were clustered with star bits, and a constant supply fell from the sky.
