There is more to the world then meets the eye. Earth, planet of Humans, planet of science, and planet of religion, but most importantly, planet of monsters and magic. Legends, myths, and folklore of mankind tell of beasts and creatures that roam the world. Most people assume that these stories are fiction.
They are so wrong. These monsters exist. They are not native to this dimension though, they come from the dimension next door. They often cross over, not by their own doing, it just happens. Magic is the only thing that humans have to defeat these beasts. It is up to a secret organization to send them back to this monster dimension. This organization was formerly called the Guardians.
In ancient times the Guardians fought the monsters back using weapons and magic. These ancient members where behind the myths of ancient heroes. Over time, the Guardians learned of a more humane way of getting rid of these monsters. They began using tamed monsters to assist in pushing them back. Through the taming process, Beastlords learn to summon a single beast to aid them, or they can call upon the beasts abilities to give them related powers. But only a small few where ever capable of it. The rest of the Guardians were stuck with the old way of doing it, through sword and spell.
On the last day of 1899, the Guardians where unable to remain a secret from the world after a large monster attack in London, England. So they came out of the shadows, and became known. During WWI, the Guardians kept with doing what they had always done, not interfering with the events of the war, as they did not interfere with things that they had no reason to.
Saying that, they did interfere with WWII, after learning that the Nazi's had discovered how to use monsters and magic. The Guardians could not let that fly, so they joined against Hitler's Third Reich. The Guardians assisted the Allies in winning that war. It was after the war that the world saw the Guardians in a new light.
After the war, the ability of magic was revealed to the mass public, and those with magical ability became more numerous. With this, many started using magic to commit crimes and the like. As such, it was up to the Guardians to act. They renamed in 1951 faced with this new problem into, IMOSA.
IMOSA, the International Ministry of Supernatural Affairs went to work redefining what it was they had to do. No longer had they have to protect the world from monsters, they also had to protect the world from itself. IMOSA's job became protecting both humanity and the supernatural from each other. They became the internationally funded police force with anything to do with magic and monsters. Soon they found that they needed more members, so the Academy's where founded, one on each continent, to train future IMOSA agents.
The year is 2016, IMOSA is funded by most every nation (*cough* North Korea *cough*) in the world and is allowed to operate in almost every nation (*cough* North Korea *cough*). Each Academy is still in operation, pumping out a good amount of agents each year.

The Academies actually compete with each other mainly to set a hierarchy system and to create the best possible agents.

In this RP you will be a new student to the North American IMOSA Academy, named Petwora Academy in the rather run down, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada (Canada's Detroit). In the rankings, as seen above Petwora is the second lowest achieving Academy, only barely above the nature loving hippies of Flotonia. And to be more specific, you are all of in the same general class.

Rules

2. My word is law, and when I am not online, my Co-OP's word is law
3. You are allowed to apply for 2 characters.
4. Your characters can get injured, and can die.
5. Don't act as if your character is the protagonist.
6. Don't be a dick in the OOC, your character can be as much of a dick as you want.
7. All disputes between people will be kept out of the OOC, settle them via TG.
8. Try to avoid one liners.
9. If in the magic list I have labeled the magic type as nearly impossible for normal humans, then no using it. Same with Anti-Magic and all magic labeled Forbidden. Also, if your magic starts becoming OP... I will tell you to die it down, and if you don't.... Punishment will come down on you fast and hard.
